Friends of the Rosary,Since Our Lord Christ Jesus is calling each and every one of us by one name, shouldn't we surrender, ideally without any reservation, to the Lord?Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, Edith Stein, wrote in this regard, "This is a serious warning cry: Surrender without reservation to the Lord who has called us."The saint explained, "The deeper a soul is bound to God, the more completely surrendered to grace, the stronger will be its influence."“Today we live again in a time that urgently needs to be renewed at the hidden springs of God-fearing souls,” she added.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,The month of September is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows, whose memorial is celebrated on September 15.Another important feast on September 14 is the Triumph of the Holy Cross, the instrument of our salvation.September is a month that falls during the liturgical season of ordinary time (formerly Time After Pentecost), which is represented by the liturgical color green, the symbol of hope. The main liturgical feasts are:St. Gregory the Great (September 3)Nativity of Mary (September 8),St. Peter Claver (September 9),Holy Name of Mary (September 12),St. John Chrysostom (September 13),Exaltation of the Holy Cross (September 14),Our Lady of Sorrows (September 15),Sts. Cornelius and Cyprian (September 16),St. Robert Bellarmine and Hildegard of Bingen(September 17)St. Januarius (September 19),St. Andrew Kim and Companions (September 20),St. Pio (September 23),Sts. Cosmas and Damian (September 26),St. Vincent de Paul (September 27),Sts. Wenceslaus and Lawrence Ruiz and Companions (September 28) fall on a Sunday and are superseded by the Sunday Liturgy. The Holy Father's Intentions for the Month of September 2025 are for relationships with all of creation. Inspired by Saint Francis, we might experience our interdependence with all creatures who are loved by God and worthy of love and respect. In September, we follow the life of Christ and Mary through the Gospels, and focus on the teachings and parables of Jesus and what it means for us to be a follower of Christ.During Ordinary Time, we can focus more on the saints and imitate their holiness as followers of Christ. Finally, the months of August, September, October, and November are part of the harvest season, and as Christians, we recall God's constant protection over his people and give thanks for the year's harvest.Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Yesterday, we reflected on the virtue of humility, associated with the first joyful mystery.Christ Jesus lowered Himself to our level when He took our human nature. He was born in a stable, grew up in the obscure village of Nazareth, earned his meager meals as a carpenter in the country, and died on a cross as a malefactor with two thieves as companions. There are far too many who set themselves up as judges over their neighbors and appoint themselves as the models to be imitated by all others. There is pride in each one of us, originating from an instinctive inclination to elevate and esteem ourselves. Our modern society doesn't help either, as it identifies humility with weakness and pushes us to be aggressive. And watch out for spiritual pride. The proud Christian himself is a contradiction. He muses: God forgives sinners too easily. God doesn't know them as well as I do.This is vanity and even ideology.Such Christians raise themselves above their neighbors, choosing the first places at the banquet. Just like the Pharisees of that time, who were thanking God that they were not like the rest of men.Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,As we read today, Sunday, in the Gospel of Luke (14:1, 7-14), Jesus was invited to dine in the house of a leading Pharisee. The Pharisees were convinced of their own perfect knowledge and observance of the law.Noticing how they were choosing the places of honor at the table, Jesus told them, through a simple parable, where their pride would lead them."When you are invited,go and take the lowest placeso that when the host comes to you he may say,'My friend, move up to a higher position.'Then you will enjoy the esteem of your companions at the table. For every one who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted."Also, "When you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind;blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you.For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."The takeaway from today's reading is clear: Our Lord invites us to conduct our affairs with full humility.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New York• August 31, 2025, Today's Rosary on YouTube | Daily broadcast at 7:30 pm ET
Friends of the Rosary,In today's reading (Matthew 25:14-30), the Lord reveals through the parable of the talents, when the master entrusted his money to three of his servants, giving to one five talents, to a second, two, and to a third, one.“For to everyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”In addition, Christ Jesus tells us that the lazy and useless servants will be thrown away into darkness, “where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.”In this parable drawn from the world of business, the first two servants multiplied the talents, but the third one buried his talent. The talents are everything that we've received from God—life, health, being, and powers. They are meant to be grown and multiplied for the Kingdom. Not to cling to them, not to wither, but to bear fruit. That's how we have a true life!Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New York
Friends of the Rosary,Today, August 29, is the Memorial of the Passion of St. John the Baptist, Christ's precursor. On June 24, we commemorated his birthday, and today we honor the anniversary of his martyrdom.Besides our Lord and our Lady, St. John the Baptist is the only one whose birth and death are celebrated.Today's Gospel relates the dramatic circumstances of his execution by King Herod. He had the courage to blame Herod to his face for his illegal union with his sister-in-law Herodias, whose husband was still alive.Herodias obtained the beheading of the saint through her daughter, Salome.John suffered a long imprisonment and martyrdom as a witness to our Redeemer. His persecutors demanded that he keep silent about the truth. But John shed his blood for the truth; he died for Christ. By his own suffering, he demonstrated that Christ would also suffer. He preached the freedom of heavenly peace, bearing witness to the Light of life, yet was thrown into prison by ungodly men. He knew eternal joy would be his reward. The apostle Paul rightly said: "You have been granted the privilege not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for his sake."Christ's gift to his chosen ones is to suffer for him: "The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed in us."Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New York• August 29, 2025, Today's Rosary on YouTube | Daily broadcast at 7:30 pm ET
Friends of the Rosary,While we continue praying for the two children killed, the injured, and their families, at a shooting during a Mass held at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, by a demonic gunman, today, August 28, the Catholic Church celebrates the Memorial of St. Augustine (354-430).Born at Tagaste, North Africa, the son of St. Monica had a life of excesses until St. Ambrose converted him.The prayer and tears of his mother, the sanctity of Milan's Bishop Ambrose, the book of St. Anthony the hermit, and the sacred Scriptures brought him to conversion (metanoia), sealed by baptism on Easter night 387, with his mother as witness.Returning to Tagaste, he distributed his goods to the poor and was ordained a priest. He was appointed bishop of Hippo at the age of 41 and became one of the most influential theologians, particularly in clarifying the doctrines of the Trinity, grace, and the Church.Augustine, numbered among the four great Doctors of the Western Church, was a prolific writer and a saint with an inexhaustible spirituality. He wrote the Confessions and The City of God, a worthy memorial to his genius, a philosophy of history.Augustine's episcopal life was filled with battles against heretics. From his encounter with Pelagius, who denied the necessity of grace, he earned the surname "Doctor of grace."As an emblem, Christian art accords him a burning heart to symbolize the ardent love of God which permeates all his writings.Founder of canonical life in common, Augustinian monks and the Hermits honor him as their spiritual father. He famously said, "Restless is the heart until it rests in God."“The life and witness of St. Augustine reminds us that each of us has received gifts and talents from God and that our vocation, our fulfillment, and our joy come from giving them back in loving service to God and others,” Pope Leo XIV, an Augustinian, said today. Not surprisingly, his papal motto, “In Illo uno, unum” (“In the one Christ, we are one”), comes from a homily by St. Augustine.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New York• August 28, 2025, Today's Rosary on YouTube | Daily broadcast at 7:30 pm ET
Friends of the Rosary,Today, August 27, the Catholic Church commemorates the feast day of St. Monica (333-387). Through prayer and tears, she gave the great Augustine to the Church of God and earned for herself a place of honor in the Communion of Saints. We also celebrate today the Feast of the Seven Joys of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also known as the Franciscan Crown Rosary, as well as the Feast of Our Lady of Health of the Sick.Born in Tagaste, North Africa, Monica was given in marriage to a pagan named Patricius, a man of loose morals. She was the mother of three children, Navigius, Perpetua, who later became a nun, and Augustine, her problem child. When Augustine was nineteen years old, his father Patricius died; by patience and prayer, Monica had obtained the conversion of her husband. After her husband's death, Monica devoted herself to good works and praying for Augustine, “Lively in hope” and “assiduous in weeping.” Monica's tears and prayers for her son were incessant. She followed him to Milan, where Augustine went to teach, and there continued to storm heaven with her prayers for her son. Finally, she had the joy of witnessing St. Ambrose baptize Augustine in 387, at the age of thirty-two. She died in Ostia, as she and her son discoursed about the joys of the blessed. To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New York• August 27, 2025, Today's Rosary on YouTube | Daily broadcast at 7:30 pm ET
Friends of the Rosary,We celebrate today the feast of Our Lady of Częstochowa, also known as the Black Madonna. The icon enshrined in Jasna Góra (Bright Hill) Monastery in Częstochowa, Poland, was painted by Luke the Evangelist on a cypress wood panel from a table used by the Holy Family in Nazareth. This Byzantine icon was discovered by St. Helen, the mother of Emperor Constantine and enshrined in the imperial city of Constantinople, where it remained for the next 500 years. The image was then brought to Poland in the 14th century. The image of Our Lady of Częstochowa is associated with several miraculous events. After the liberation of Poland from Nazi occupation, 1.5 million people gathered at Jasna Góra in 1945 to rededicate the nation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our Lady's intercession is credited with the liberation of Poland from Communist rule.Pope John Paul II visited the image of Our Lady of Częstochowa four times during his pontificate. The holy painting enshrined at Częstochowa has been a lighthouse of hope during centuries of hardship and defeat. Today, the Shrine of Our Lady of Częstochowa attracts millions of people who love and honor Our Lady's intercession. It is known as the “Black Madonna” because of the soot residue that discolors the painting, a result of centuries of votive lights and candles burning in front of it.Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New York• August 26, 2025, Today's Rosary on YouTube | Daily broadcast at 7:30 pm ET

Friends of the Rosary,As we read today (Luke 13:22-30), the Lord Jesus was asked if only a few people would be saved. He answered,"Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I tell you, will attempt to enterbut will not be strong enough.”All those who accept Christ and follow his words and commandments will enter the Kingdom. God the Father invites all to heaven, providing all the grace and help necessary. But, as we enjoy free will, salvation is in our hands. If we abuse freedom, fail to exercise self-restraint, and make wrong choices, the doors of eternity will be closed. We should have sought his mercy and his forgiveness during our earthly life, and he would have granted it.Acquaintance with Christ won't be enough. Hearing the doctrine and refusing to be true disciples will exclude us from salvation. Each one of us stands or falls by our own mode of life during our term on earth. We deal with God's mercy while alive on earth. He forgives any sin if we truly repent and resolve to correct these faults.Every man who lives in God's grace will die in God's grace and be numbered among the saved. The man who lives habitually in sin and refuses to amend his life will die in his sinful state and therefore exclude himself from eternal salvation. We have free will, and can choose to pass that final examination or to fail it on the day of judgment.Eternity, life after death, depends on our choice. Traditional Worship | Rev. Dr. Ashley Goad | The one thing that separated Jesus from all the prophets who came before or after Him was His insistence on His disciples knowing the truth. To Jesus, truth was more than simple honesty; it was a concept rooted in God's character. He taught that through truth, we come to understand God's faithfulness and the dependability of His words and actions. In contrast, lies are the enemy of truth. The Evil One, who spreads false teachings, tries to have us live in a false narrative about who we are, how the world works and even the nature of God Himself. This sermon series is about defining what is truth, how we find it and the specific lies that hold our faith captive. We are delighted you have chosen to join us as we seek to find the truth that sets us free.
Friends of the Rosary,Today, August 23, the Catholic Church of Christ honors St. Rose of Lima (1586-1617), the first canonized saint in the Americas. She was a contemplative, who, inspired by the example of St. Catherine of Siena, became a Dominican lay tertiary devoted to works of charity while living a life of extreme austerity. Hers was a life heroic in virtue and penance.St. Rose of Lima suffered repeated attacks from the devil, painful physical illness, and from her family, scoldings and calumnies, accepting all of this serenely, remarking that she was treated better than she deserved. For fifteen years, she patiently endured the severe spiritual dryness. In reward, she experienced heavenly joys, the companionship of her guardian angel, and of the Blessed Virgin. She died at the age of 31, praying, “Lord, increase my sufferings, and with them increase your love in my heart.”Through constant prayer and mortification, she proclaimed the beauty of divine grace.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, August 21, is the Memorial Day of Pope Pius X, an intrepid defender of the purity of the Christian doctrine, and also the anniversary of Our Lady of Knock. The Holy Virgin appeared on August 21, 1879, with St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist, a Lamb and cross on an altar in a parish church of the village of Knock, in County Mayo, in Ireland.Fifteen people witnessed the Blessed Virgin Mary standing in the middle, clothed in white garments, wearing a brilliant crown, with a golden rose over her forehead (A golden rose is often the symbol of this Marian apparition). Her hands were raised as if in prayer. All knew that it was Mary, the Mother of Jesus and Queen of Angels and Saints. On the right of Our Lady stood St. Joseph, his head inclined toward her. On her left stood St. John the Evangelist, dressed as a bishop. To the left of St. John stood an altar that had a lamb and a cross surrounded by angels. The vision lasted about two hours. People who were not at the apparition site reported that they saw a bright light illuminating the area around the church. Many of the sick were healed upon visiting the church at Knock.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Every August 20, we honor St. Bernard of Clairvaux (1090-1153), abbot, theologian, poet, orator, and writer, and Doctor of the Church, who perfected the monastic rule that would become the model for 163 monasteries of the Cistercian reform.St. Bernard was an apostle of the Crusades, reconciler of kings, leader of peoples, and counselor of popes. He studied grammar, poetry, literature, rhetoric, dialectics, Scripture, and theology. He also held a profound devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, continually seeking her intercession and seeing her as our Mediatrix and as the Star of the Sea who guides us through the darkness of life. The prayer of the Memorare is attributed to him.He wrote De Consideratione, and many of his sermons are excerpted in the Breviary.Notably, his treatise “On Loving God” articulated the reasons we should love God to an immeasurable degree. In all of his works, Abbot Bernard sought to teach to draw our hearts to conversion and love. He regularly emphasized the personal nature of God as revealed in Jesus Christ, our call to mystical union with Him, the need for humility, the benefits of asceticism, and the central role that the Blessed Virgin Mary must play in our lives. He was a theologian, contemplative, and mystic whose central goals were to love God and to draw others into that same love. Many miracles were attributed to him. He had the charism of spiritual discernment and was able to read the inner thoughts and intentions of people.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, August 19, we remember the fourth apparition in Fatima. The three child saints were arrested by the Administrator on August 13th, and our Lady's plans were delayed slightly. On Sunday, the 19th of 1917, the Holy Virgin appeared to the visionaries in the woods of Valinhos."Come again to the Cova da Iria on the thirteenth of next month, my child, and continue to say the Rosary every day. In the last month, I will perform a miracle so that all may believe."Lucia asked, "What are we to do with the offerings of money that people leave at the Cova da Iria?""I want you to have two ardors [litters to carry statues] made, for the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. I want you and Jacinta to carry one of them with two other girls. You will both dress in white. And then I want Francisco, with three boys helping him, to carry the other one. The boys, too, will be dressed in white. What is left over will help towards the construction of a chapel that is to be built here."Lúcia then asked for the cure of some sick people."Some I will cure during the year."Looking sadly at them, she said:Pray, pray very much. Make sacrifices for sinners. Many souls go to hell because no one is willing to help them with a sacrifice.Having said that, she departed as she had on the other occasions. We pray one more day today's Holy Rosary from East Hampton, NY.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,In today's reading (Matthew 19:16-22), Christ Jesus encourages us, through the words to the rich young man, to be perfect and cultivate a treasure in heaven by avoiding any attachment to material possessions. He says, “If you wish to be perfect, go,sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”God, pure love, means a life in friendship with him, of self-forgetting love. This should bring us to cut out of our lives certain things that impede love.Bishop Barron writes, “The spiritual life, at the highest pitch, is about giving your life away, and this is why his many possessions are a problem.”“And at this point the young man tragically balks.”Christ Jesus is the fulfillment, the infinite good and love that the soul wants.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! John 7:25-26 So some of the people of Jerusalem were saying, “Is this not the man whom they are seeking to kill? Look, He is speaking publicly, and they are saying nothing to Him. The rulers do not really know that this is the Christ, do they? Apparently, Jesus' reproof of the crowd for not judging righteously hit its mark. The Jewish leaders fell silent, and it didn't go unnoticed. We note that Jesus wasn't the only one who knew they wanted to kill Him. The word had spread through the community. In fact, it might even have been one of the reasons for the crowd. They were there to see the fireworks. When the rulers didn't confront Jesus after He spoke, there were some who wondered if they too had become convinced by the lame man's healing and Jesus' words that He was indeed the long-expected Christ. To the religious rulers, Jesus was a threat, a cancer that needed to be removed. To the crowd who followed Him, He was an enigma, a mystery, and a source of entertainment. To the people of Jerusalem, Jesus was a news item, a front page story. To Jesus' disciples, He was their rabbi, but also the expectant deliverer from Roman oppression. To us, He is the savior of the world. I am hoping that there may be some listening to this podcast that could relate to each of those groups when it comes to Jesus. I'm so glad you've found this podcast. I want to encourage you to rethink your life and your judgment of Jesus. Consider: how would you expect a world who wants to be god and lord of their own lives to react if they met the one true God who created them and deserves to be worshiped and obeyed? How are you reacting to Him? I pray that even as I speak, the Holy Spirit of God would convince you that Jesus is the Christ—God in the flesh, God with us—so that you might experience His forgiveness and love. From the time that the Gospels were written and circulated, Jesus has been speaking publicly. He still speaks now through His Word and His disciples, people like me, so that you might hear and believe. He died to take away sins, and He lives to love in those who will receive Him and submit to Him. I invite you to surrender yourself to Him, and to do it now, as I pray. Will you humble your heart now with me? Father in heaven, thank You for another day of life. I ask you to give Your Son and eternal life to all who hear my voice and at this moment surrender their lives to You. By the power of Your Spirit, give them hearts to repent—to turn from trusting in themselves. May they abandon their own desires to be god of their lives. Then give them faith that Jesus is Your Son and the only way that they might have peace with You. You have said that everyone who believes in Him will not be disappointed and will have eternal life. I trust You to keep Your word to them as they pray now and humble themselves in Your sight. May you be glorified. Amen. If you prayed with me, I hope you'll contact me at norm@livetolovewithjesus.com. Put “trusting in Jesus” in the subject line. I hope you'll visit livetolovewithjesus.com and join the Live to Love with Jesus prayer challenge. Become a part of a world-wide movement of the love of God through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

This event means God's crowning of Mary as she ended her earthly life and entered eternity. But the central mystery of her life and person is her divine motherhood, celebrated both at Christmas and a week later (January 1) on the feast of the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God.The Immaculate Conception (December 8) marks the preparation for that motherhood, so that she had the fullness of grace from the first moment of her existence, untouched by sin.The Assumption completes God's work in her since it was not fitting that the flesh that had given life to God himself should ever undergo decay or corruption. The feast turns our eyes to eternity, where we will follow when our earthly life is over.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, August 15, toward the end of the summer season, the Church of Christ celebrates the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, when the faithful proclaim that she was taken up, body and soul, into heaven. It's a Holy Day of Obligation and the oldest feast day of Our Lady. Its origin is in the early days of Jerusalem, when one of the memories about the Blessed Mother centered around the “Tomb of Mary,” close to Mount Zion, where she was buried, and the early Christian community had lived. It's the spot where Mary's “falling asleep.”Mary expired in the presence of the apostles, and when her tomb was opened later, it was found empty, and so the apostles concluded that the body was taken up into the heavenly home. Therefore, from the beginning, there were no relics of Mary to be venerated. That location also soon became a place of pilgrimage, and the “Memory of Mary” was being celebrated. Today, the Benedictine Abbey of the Dormition of Mary stands on the spot.In the seventh century, this feast began to be celebrated in Rome under the title of the “Falling Asleep” (“Dormitio”) of the Mother of God.Later, it was to become our feast of the Assumption. In 1950, Pope Pius XII solemnly proclaimed the dogma of the Assumption, a truth revealed by God, with these words: “The Immaculate Mother of God, the ever-virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heaven.”The Assumption looks to eternity and gives us hope that we, too, will follow Our Lady when our life is ended.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, August 14, is the Memorial of St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe (1894-1941), a Polish Franciscan, friar, priest, and martyr of Auschwitz, who founded a movement of Marian consecration called Militia of the Immaculata, With his preaching and writing, he undertook an intense apostolic mission in Europe and Asia.Imprisoned in Auschwitz during the Second World War, he offered himself in exchange for a young father of a large family who was to be executed, Francis Gajowniczek. When the captors couldn't kill him from starvation in the concentration camp, they ended his life with a lethal injection on August 14, 1941.In 1927, he established an evangelization center near Warsaw called Niepokalanow, the "City of the Immaculata." By 1939, the City had expanded from eighteen friars to an incredible 650, making it the largest Catholic religious house in the world. To better "win the world for the Immaculata," the friars utilized modern printing and administrative techniques, enabling countless catechetical and devotional works, a daily newspaper with a circulation of 230,000, and a monthly magazine with a circulation of over one million.Maximilian started a shortwave radio station and planned to build a motion picture studio—he was a true "apostle of the mass media." He established a City of the Immaculata in Nagasaki, Japan, in 1930, and envisioned missionary centers worldwide.Maximilian was a ground-breaking theologian. His insights into the Immaculate Conception anticipated the Marian theology of the Second Vatican Council and further developed the Church's understanding of Mary as "Mediatrix" of all the graces of the Trinity, and as "Advocate" for God's people.Pope St. John Paul II canonized him in 1982 and proclaimed him a "martyr of charity" and "Patron Saint of Our Difficult Century." Francis Gajowniczek was in attendance. He is a patron of journalists, families, prisoners, the pro-life movement, and the chemically addicted.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New York• August 14, 2025, Today's Rosary on YouTube | Daily broadcast at 7:30 pm ET
Friends of the Rosary,How are we investing the treasure of our lives?Pope Leo XIV invited the faithful this Sunday to share not only material goods and possessions, but also our time, affection, presence, and empathy.Pope Leo XIV encouraged the faithful to share not only material goods but time, presence, and empathy.Quoting Jesus' words, “Sell what you own and give alms”, the Holy Father urged Christians not to cling to the gifts they have received from God, but to use them generously for the good of others, especially those most in need.”Each person, he continued, is a unique, priceless good in God's plan – a living, beating capital that must be cultivated and invested, otherwise it dries up and loses its value.”The works of mercy are the most fruitful bank. Even the smallest gesture, the Pope said, can have infinite value, as in the Gospel's image of the poor widow who, with two small coins, becomes “the richest person in the world”.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,St. Clare (1194-1253), the sister of St. Francis of Assisi, whose feast day we celebrated yesterday, made poverty the basis of her life, as taught by St. Francis. Clare desired to be an imitator of the poverty of Christ.Scripture shows how precious poverty is.Christ was poor. He had no house wherein to be born, no house wherein to die, no deathbed. He said, “The foxes have dens and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head” (Matt. 3:20).We Christians can be moderate and frugal, and with the intercession of St. Clare, find the way to the spirit of Christian poverty.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,In today's Gospel (St. Luke 12:32 48), Christ Jesus is telling us to conduct our lives in God's friendship to be ready for when the call to judgment comes.“Gird your loins and light your lamps and be like servants who await their master's return from a wedding, ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival.”The Lord reveals that more will be expected of those who have received greater gifts from God than of those who have received lesser gifts. He has made us his “little flock.” We are members of his Church, for our own eternal good. Friends of the Rosary,Every month of August, we honor the two martyrs of the holocaust of Auschwitz, St. Maximilian Kolbe and St. Teresa Benedicta.Today, August 9, is the memorial day of St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (1891-1942), also known as St. Edith Stein.Born into a prominent Jewish family in Breslau (now Wroclaw, Poland), she became an influential philosopher, lecturing at major German universities.A brilliant intellectual and doctorate in philosophy, she converted in 1922 and entered the Discalced Carmelites, captivated by the autobiography of Teresa of Avila, taking the name Sister Teresa Benedicta of the Cross. After reading my life of Teresa of Avila, Edith Stein exclaimed: "This is the truth!"She was arrested by the Nazi regime in 1942, along with all Catholics of Jewish extraction, and transported by cattle train to the death camp of Auschwitz, along with her sister Rosa, also a Catholic. She died in a gas chamber in Auschwitz on August 9, 1942.Pope John Paul II beatified Teresa Benedicta in 1987 and canonized her in 1998.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, August 8, is the Memorial of St. Dominic of Guzman, who received the devotion of the Holy Rosary from the Blessed Virgin Mary. To St. Dominic is attributed the origin and spread of the holy rosary. As many Popes have historically stated, St. Dominic received the Rosary as a gift from the Blessed Virgin Mary during a vision in a forest near Toulouse, France, in 1206, on the feast of Saint Mary Magdalene, to help combat the Albigensian heresy, which denied the goodness of the material world and the divinity of Christ. The saint and his Dominican Order, which he founded in 1215, actively promoted the Rosary, encouraging its use for both personal prayer and communal practice. He used it as a tool for evangelization and spiritual growth.Since the 15th and 16th centuries, many Dominicans have spread this devotion and remain to this day the chief promoters of the devotion around the world. For example, it was a Dominican pope, St. Pius V, who promoted the Rosary and instituted the Feast of Our Lady of Victory in 1571 (later renamed the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary in 1573 by Pope Gregory XIII).The Rosary remains a staple of Roman Catholic piety and is a favorite of many Catholics around the world.Alongside the Franciscans, the Dominicans became the most powerful Order in medieval times, giving the Church illustrious preachers, St. Vincent Ferrer, and contemplatives, Sts. Thomas of Aquinas and Pius V, and contributing immeasurably to maintaining the purity of the faith.Through the example of apostolic poverty and the preaching of the word of God, the Dominican Order was to lead men to Christ.Today, it's also important to remember that St. Dominic's mother, Blessed Jane (Joan or Joanna) of Aza, was beatified by Pope Leo XII in 1828, recognized for her example of motherly holiness, her charity to the poor, and miracles. As preserved in the Breviary: "During pregnancy, Dominic's mother dreamed she was carrying in her womb a little dog that held a burning torch between its teeth; and when she had given birth, it set the whole world on fire. By this dream, it was made manifest beforehand how Dominic would inflame the nations to the practice of Christian virtue through the brightness of his holy example and the fiery ardor of his preaching." The second son of Blessed Jane (Joan or Joanna) of Aza, Mannes, would follow his younger brother in the Order of Preachers, and later beatified.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,In today's Gospel (Matthew 16:13-23), Jesus, in the region of Caesarea Philippi, asked his disciples a turning-point question:"Who do you say that I am?"The disciples were afraid to respond until finally Peter spoke:"You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of heaven.Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven;and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."Peter received a revelation from the Eternal Father and rightly answered that Jesus was the "Messiah", the Anointed One, the long-awaited Savior of the human race. Our lives cannot be the same. The Church of Christ, built upon the Petrine faith, comes from the inconceivable power of the Almighty. And as today's Responsorial Psalm (Psalm 95:1-2, 6-7, 8-9) states, If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, August 6, is the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, a commemoration which started in the 11th century and anticipates the glory of heaven, where we shall see God face to face. The Gospel of Luke (Luke 9:28b–36) recounts this event of the glorified Jesus representing the fulfillment of Old Testament revelation, symbolized by Moses as the Law and Elijah as the prophets. The Transfiguration of Christ reveals the fullness of life for every single human being. It's the will of God in His glory and luminous beauty for all of us.The transfigured Christ is an invitation for a personal relationship with the Savior. We achieve this especially through the sacraments of confession and the Eucharist, as we fall in adoration, content to be with Jesus alone. The Transfiguration took place about a year before the Passion. Jesus took with him St. Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, Sts. James and John, and led them to a retired mountain. Tradition assures us that this was Mount Thabor, which was anciently covered with green trees and was very fruitful. This was the place, in the middle of Galilee, in which the Man-God appeared in His glory. His face was altered and shone as the sun, and his garments became white as snow-white brightness. Moses and Elias were seen by the three apostles in his company on this occasion, and were heard discoursing with him of the death which he was to suffer in Jerusalem. The three apostles were delighted with this glorious vision, and St. Peter cried out to Christ, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. Let us make three tents: one for thee, one for Moses, and one for Elias.”Whilst St. Peter was speaking, there came a bright shining cloud from heaven, an emblem of the presence of God's majesty, and from out of this cloud was heard a voice which said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.”The apostles that were present, upon hearing this voice, were seized with a sudden fear, and fell upon the ground; but Jesus, going to them, touched them, and bade them to rise. They immediately did so and saw no one but Jesus standing in his ordinary state. In the Transfiguration, Christ enjoyed for a short while that glorified state which was to be permanently His after His Resurrection on Easter Sunday. The splendor of His inward Divinity and of the Beatific Vision of His soul overflowed on His body. The purpose of the Transfiguration was to encourage and strengthen the Apostles who were depressed by their Master's prediction of His own Passion and Death. The Apostles were made to understand that His redeeming work has two phases: The Cross, and Glory—that we shall be glorified with Him only if we first suffer with Him.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, August 5, the Catholic Church celebrates the Optional Memorial of the Dedication of the Basilica of St. Mary Major, Santa Maria Maggiore, one of the four most illustrious churches of Rome, along with St. John Lateran, St. Peter, and St. Paul Outside the Walls, and Christendom's first Marian shrine for pilgrims. This feast commemorates a miracle of the snowfall that occurred during the night on this day in the year 358 on the site where the Basilica of St. Mary Major now stands. The Virgin Mary had appeared in a dream to two faithful Roman Christians, the patrician John and his wife, as well as to Pope Liberius (352-366), asking that a church be built in her honor on the site where snow would fall on the night between August 4th and 5th.That's why another name for the basilica is Our Lady of the Snow, Saint Mary of the Snow, and the feast of today is Our Lady of Snows, la Virgen Blanca, in Spanish.Nowadays, in Rome, during the pontifical Mass and the second vespers, the traditional shower of flower petals descends from the ceiling of the basilica to commemorate the August snowfall in 358.Pope Francis' mortal remains are buried in St. Mary Major. In Ars, France, John Vianney was a parish priest for forty-two years, devoting himself to prayer, mortification, and pastoral works. The saintly pastor endured many trials while performing many miracles. With little sleep and less food, he catechized, preached, provided for the poor, and heard confessions. Up to sixteen hours a day were spent reconciling sinners to God.His ardent prayer was:“Lord, grant me the conversion of my parish; I am willing to suffer whatever you wish, for my entire life!”Souls throughout the Christian world sought his guidance and advice.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Through the parable of the Rich Fool, Christ Jesus in today's Gospel (St. Luke 12:13-21) teaches us to avoid all greed, as “one's life does not consist of possessions.”The passage tells of a wealthy farmer who, upon harvesting a large crop, decided to build bigger barns to store his abundance. He planned to live a life of ease and luxury, but God called him a fool. The key is to store up treasures in heaven and “be rich in what matters to God.”We tend to forget that at any moment we may leave this earth and all that we possess in it after a life of collecting possessions for our earthly life.No one will be excluded from heaven because they lawfully possessed wealth. But it will exclude him if he lets this world's wealth possess him to the exclusion of God.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, July 31, is the Memorial of St. Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556).With nine companions—Francis Xavier, among them—Ignatius formed the Jesuits, a society for the service of Jesus, that embarked on missionary activities, the establishment of colleges and universities, and counter-Reformation preaching. The motto of the Company of Jesus: Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam—“For the greater glory of God.”Born in the Kingdom of Navarre, in Spain, after a wayward youth, Ignatius converted in his early thirties. He sought penance and solitude in Manresa, Spain, near Barcelona, where he began to compose his Spiritual Exercises. While he was convalescing, after a cannonball fractured his left leg at the siege of Pamplona, Ignatius read about Christ and His saints and thus turned wholly to God. He then equipped himself for Christ's service by acquiring a good classical and theological education. The members of the Society of Jesus became the shock troops of the Church in the battle against the spread of Protestantism in Europe, as well as one of the greatest foreign mission organizations that the world has known.Ignatius ever desired to suffer far more for the glory of his Lord.According to several pontiffs, God raised up Ignatius and the Society founded by him to oppose Luther and the heretics of his time.He devoted himself unweariedly to gaining souls for God. His power over the demons was wonderful. St. Philip Neri and others saw his countenance shining with heavenly light. He was celebrated for miracles and for his great services to the Church.Pius XI, in response to the prayers of the episcopate, declared him the heavenly patron of all Spiritual Exercises.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Through the parables of Jesus, we discover the priceless value of the Kingdom of Heaven. He said to his disciples (Matthew 13:44-46):"The Kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field, which a person finds and hides again, and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.Again, the Kingdom of heaven is like a merchantsearching for fine pearls. When he finds a pearl of great price,he goes and sells all that he has and buys it."Christ Jesus is inviting us to a radical reordering of our priorities. The Kingdom of Heaven is the treasure, and the pearl has an incomparable value.Like the merchant, the one who finds it is willing to sacrifice everything - worldly possessions, ambitions, and comforts - to embrace the Kingdom. It means prioritizing spiritual riches over material wealth, eternal life over fleeting pleasures, and God's will over our desires. Friends of the Rosary,In today's main reading (Matthew 13:31–35), Jesus unveiled a mystery to the crowds:“The Kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seedthat a person took and sowed in a field. It is the smallest of all the seeds, yet when full-grown it is the largest of plants. It becomes a large bush, and the birds of the sky come and dwell in its branches.”He spoke to them another parable.“The Kingdom of heaven is like yeastthat a woman took and mixed with three measures of wheat flouruntil the whole batch was leavened.”Through these two parables, Jesus Christ describes the transforming power of the Kingdom. The Church is the mustard seed or the leaven seeking to transform the world. It's the City of God making its way within the City of Man, in Augustine's terms. As the mystical body of Jesus, the Church makes present Christ's loving and forgiving mind and will.As members of His Body, through baptism we embody the spirit of God and exercise the mission of going in search of sinners, bearing salvation.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,The disciples of the Lord were men of prayer, but they wanted to live as friends of God. So they asked the Lord to teach them to pray with the same intimacy and confidence they observed in Jesus, as we read in the Gospel (St. Luke, 11:1-13). They rejoiced when Christ Jesus taught them the Lord's Prayer. Also, in another passage of the Gospels, He instructed them, "When thou shalt pray, enter into thy chamber, and having shut the door, pray to thy Father in secret..."(Mt 6:6-7).Given that our prayer is primarily a petition, we must proceed with persistence. In the same reading of today, Jesus says,“And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish? Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, July 26, is the Memorial of Saints Joachim and Anne, the parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the grandparents of Jesus, and the patron saints of all grandparents. They played an important part in the work of the Redemption. In their home, the Virgin Mary was educated to be the Mother of God. The Scripture is silent about the grandparents of Jesus. The Protoevanglium of James (c. 150) relates the story of Anne and Joachim, who were cured of their infertility with the gift of the child Mary.Joachim was a prominent and respected man who had no children, and he and his wife, Anne, looked upon this as a punishment from God. In answer to their prayers, Mary was born and was dedicated to God at a very early age. The Veneration of Anne and Joachim in the East dates from the 7th century. From the Middle Ages, numerous churches, chapels, and confraternities were dedicated to St. Anne. In the West, Anne became popular in the Middle Ages, invoked by infertile couples and women in childbirth.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, July 25th, is the Feast of St. James, the Apostle, known as the Greater, to distinguish him from the other Apostle St. James the Lesser, who was chosen later.James was the cousin of Jesus Christ and the brother of John the Apostle. With Peter and John, James witnessed the Transfiguration on Mount Tabor. He was also in the Garden of Gethsemane during Jesus' agony. The son of Zebedee the fisherman from Galilee was called by Jesus Boanerges, "son of thunder.”He was beheaded in Jerusalem in the year 42 or 43 A.D. on the orders of King Herod Agrippa, becoming the first apostle to receive the crown of martyrdom. His relics were transported and later discovered in the ninth century in Spain. Since then, the medieval pilgrimage to St. James of Compostela, known as the Camino de Santiago ("the Way of St. James"), has attracted immense crowds across the centuries. The pilgrim paths to Compostela, in Galicia, form a network throughout Europe, dotted with hospices and chapels. St. James is the patron saint of Spain and pilgrims.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,The saint that we are celebrating today, the nineteenth Lebanese saint, Sharbel Makhluf, who devoted himself to unreserved prayer in his last 23 years on earth, said:“In a world largely fascinated by wealth and comfort, the paramount value of poverty, penance, and asceticism, to liberate the soul in its ascent to God.”Meanwhile, in the main reading of today (Matt 13:10-17), Christ Jesus explains why He speaks to the crowd in parables: “They look but do not see and hear but do not listen or understand.”“Blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear. Amen, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”To the disciples, like to the faithful in union with Christ, “the knowledge of the mysteries of the Kingdom of heaven has been granted.”Moreover, “To anyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; from anyone who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today's Gospel (Matthew 13:19) discusses the growth of the kingdom of God through the parable of the sower and the seed. Christ Jesus speaks in a timeless way to the whole world.Seated as teacher and judge, He explains that the seed —the eternal word, the Logos, Christ himself—lands on the path, where the birds eat it up; falls on rocky ground, where it is scorched in the sun, or among thorns, where the life is choked off.But some seed goes into rich soil, where it bears thirty, sixty, or a hundredfold, and never being stolen, scorched, or choked.Jesus wants to take root in us, leading us to everlasting joy.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Today, the Catholic Church celebrates the Memorial of St. Mary Magdalene, whom the Lord entrusted with announcing the great joy of the Resurrection to all others.Known as "the Apostle to the Apostles," she came from Magdala, a fishing village on the Sea of Galilee. Christ exorcised seven demons from Mary Magdalene.Mary Magdalene was privileged to see the resurrected Lord beside the empty tomb, and then shared the good news with the disciples. As we read today (John 20:1-2, 11-18), Jesus said to Mary Magdalene,"Go to my brothers and tell them:/ I am going to my Father and your Father,/ to my God and your God."She followed Jesus to His crucifixion and stood beside His mother and St. John at the foot of the cross on Good Friday.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,We continue reciting the Rosary from Garabandal, where the Virgin Mary made herself present between 1961 and 1965, through four visionary girls and many witnesses who played a crucial role during the ecstasies. With the simplicity of a mother, Mary Most Holy gave her children the indications that they needed for the good of their souls. If we do not walk the way of the Cross, if the Eucharist is not the center of our lives, if we are not good, if we do not convert, the Lord will have no choice but to intervene so that we understand the importance of what is at stake: our salvation. The Bishops and the Catholic Church in Spain stated that the messages of the Virgin in Garabandal were “important” and “theologically correct.” The Catholic Church has not officially recognized the Garabandal apparitions, but church officials have acknowledged the doctrinal integrity of the messages.Mary also said, describing the painful situation that the Catholic Church was going through as it approached the conclusion of the Second Vatican Council:"Many cardinals, many bishops, and many priests are following the way to perdition and are taking many souls with them. Ever less importance is being given to the Holy Eucharist. You must turn the wrath of God away from you by your efforts. If you ask His forgiveness with a sincere heart, He will pardon you. I, your Mother, through St. Michael the Archangel, wish to tell you to amend your lives. You are now in the last warnings! I love you very much, and I do not want your condemnation. Ask Us sincerely, and We will grant your plea. You must make more sacrifices. Reflect on the Passion of Jesus.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,Between 1961 and 1965, in the small village of Garabandal, in northern Spain, the Virgin Mary appeared to four girls, who transmitted Marian messages of repentance, prayer, and sacrifice.Conchita, Mari Cruz, Mari Loli, and Jacinta saw the Virgin Mary over 2,000 times during this period. The Holy Virgin interacted with the girls like an authentic mother, winning them over with her tenderness and affectionate gestures. The Immaculata emphasized the importance of the Eucharist and the need for personal conversion and a "divine reset."At the Pines at dusk, the girls read the text of a message:"We must make many sacrifices, do much penance, and visit the Blessed Sacrament. But first, we must be very good. Otherwise, a chastisement will befall us. The cup is already filling up, and if we do not change, a very great chastisement will come upon us."Mary also interacted with the people who came to witness the apparitions, giving each person who went to see the apparitions a sign or proof of her presence. We pray today's Rosary from Garabandal.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Friends of the Rosary,If we truly want to become disciples of the Lord Jesus, we must fully reorder our views, feelings, ideas, aspirations, and goals — everything. Almost everything that our modern culture proclaims seems to be worthless. The Kingdom of God requires a total commitment. Only the saints, canonized or anonymous, are that smart.Jesus said, as we read this week (Matthew 10:34—11:1):"Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me,and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;and whoever does not take up his crossand follow after me is not worthy of me.Whoever finds his life will lose it,and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it."There are many good things in our lives, including our country, communities, hobbies, and families. But if we make them the ultimate or final good, our spiritual life — and our own Christian identity — will collapse. This is a fact; anyone can notice it, without a preacher around. And it's neither an apocalyptic threat nor is it.The human being is wired for God and God alone. Losing our lives for Christ means finding life. Being stuck to earthly attachments means failure.Only through the Grace can we defeat human logic with its fears attached.Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New!
