Scott Brubaker shared with us today about the peace and purpose Jesus brought to his life since he was saved in 1988. In the years since he trusted Christ, he has had many seasons of life to prove Jesus keeps His promises. He lost a 17 year old son to suicide. Was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in the brain, liver and lungs. Has had heart issues -- and through all of that he found Jesus to be true!

Scott Brubaker presents part two of his messages on holiness. This week's sermon is based on Hebrews 10:14 whereby believers become progressively, and imperfectly more and more like Christ in the sanctification process as they mature as they mature in their faith.  

This week, Scott Brubaker, one of church elders, taught about the all sufficient sacrifice of Jesus in full and final payment for the sin of the world, applied to individuals by grace, through faith wherein believers have been credited ‘once for all'  with the perfect holiness of Christ from God's point of view.

This week, one of the Elders of our church, Scott Brubaker, tackles the thorny and confusing issue of understanding the nuances of a relationship with God as compared to having fellowship with God. One can never change, while the other is ever changing!

This morning Pastor Tim was joined by Lucasse Henrilus, our missionary from Haiti as well as Scott Brubaker, one of our Elders, to give a report on the outreach ministries of our church. 

The one distinguishing aspect of Christianity over all other religions of the world is grace.  All other religions teach that man must earn the approval of God. But Christianity dares to offer God's grace -- His unmerited favor -- unconditionally! This week Scott Brubaker did a fantastic job of highlighting the often overlooked and misunderstood grace of God. Evangelism is a process superintendent by God but impacted by people.God desires my obedience in evangelism, not my opinion.As God's servants we must move from apathy to action.Perform your role in the process of evangelism, not God's."If we order our lives to focus on the role God has given us in evangelism and be clear on the gospel -- what God is asking people to do to become His children -- we can be sure that God will honor His word, and our obedience in evangelism will not only be successful but an adventure of seeing Him work in the lives of others he has called us to!"

Scott Brubaker recently shared his story of how everyting on the outside of life was great but on the inside he was insecure and wanted to know if there was more to life. Everything he tried never overcame the doubts and fears of his heart. It was only after he understood the free gift of Christ that those fears and doubts were put to rest. Since then, his faith in Christ as carried him through more than the typical circumstances of life as he has dealt with the loss of a teenage child and brain cancer.

This episode was recorded in front of a live audience at Porkopolis BBQ in Chandler, AZ. My guest was Scott Brubaker the President of the Arizona Hotshots professional football team. We talked about the new league.

This is the second of a two-part series on the Judgement Seat of Christ. Scott Brubaker highlights how the Apostle Paul's greatest concern was pleasing the Lord Jesus and gaining a "crown that lasts forever." His sermon does a great job of helping Christians understand the eternal value of living an intentional life here on Earth. He breaks it down into three elements: What we do. Why we do it. How we do it. He also touches on the way we view our money and how we do and don't use it in ways that reaps eternal rewards.

Many Christians might appear before the judgement seat of Christ and wonder why they didn't know that the things they did on Earth as a Christian mattered when they arrived in Heaven. In a two-part series, Scott Brubaker unpacks the truths around this significant event that every Christian will experience when they arrive in Heaven. He does a great job at distinguishing between eternal rewards and eternal life and explaining why it matters so much about how we live our earthly lives.

Many become confused about the standing before God on those days when nothings seems to go right -- when we have wandered from the instruction of the Lord and obedience to Him. At those times what we believe about God's promises to us and our standing before Him is critical. If we don't believe rightly it's so easy to be defeated. This week, Scott Brubaker does an excellent job of clearly pointing to the biblical foundation that all of us must stand on in hard times.

In our second study of grace & eternal security Scott Brubaker does a great review of the biblical basis for our assurance.

This week Scott Brubaker, one of our church Elders, begins a three part study of grace and eternal security. Our eternal security, that assurance that NOTHING can take away our salvation, should be reason for great encouragement in difficult and bitter days. In this study, Scott sets the stage for next week's biblical review and the third week's comparison of salvation and sanctification.

It is always a special time when we can recognize a new Elder here at Crossing Community Church. John Ashton, our newest Elder, received a charge from Scott Brubaker, one of our current Elders, then John spoke. We closed the service with a time of prayer by our Elder Council for John, his family and his service in our church family.

It was with great pleasure that Crossing welcomed the Lord's Love Evangelical Church of Philadelphia to our service this Sunday. This Korean church plant began meeting at Crossing this week. We took time to pray for them and for the persecuted church of North Korea. After our time of prayer Scott Brubaker continued his series on the uniqueness of God's saving grace!

"The sins I can't forget are the sins God can't remember." So began a great message by Scott Brubaker on the freedom God's grace gives those who accept the free gift of Christ's death as their payment for sin. It's not by our works, but only by His grace!

We had the very special opportunity to host a prayer meeting for Scott Brubaker's co-workers. The service included an update from Scott, readings from the Bible, the Gospel and closing thoughts from Pastor Tim. (NOTE: The prayer times were not recorded)

When God calls you into His work, how do you know it's going well? As humans we gauge success on how others respond to us. But in God's economy it's not that way. This week we explore what it means to be successful when we join God in what He's doing around us. This service also features an update from Scott Brubaker.

Watching loved ones suffer can leave us with uncertainties about what we understand about God. This week we learned that Scott Brubaker, one of our Elders, has to undergo brain surgery to remove a mass. We set aside our plans for the service and spent our time reflecting on how God might be using Scott's illness to deepen our faith.
