Send us your feedback — we're listening Psalms 4:8 — Sleep Tonight In The Peace Of God Recorded live from London, England — where faith meets the world in daily prayer and global hope. Nashville • Auckland • Lagos • Singapore • Buenos Aires PEACEFUL SLEEP • SECURITY • REST night prayer for peaceful sleep • Christian bedtime prayer • resting safely in God's care • prayer for a quiet heart tonight Psalm 4:8 (NIV) “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” As this day comes to its close, there is something deeply comforting about knowing that we do not have to carry everything into the night. The day has held its own responsibilities, conversations, victories, disappointments, and unexpected moments. Some things may have gone well. Other things may still remain unresolved. Yet as evening settles around us, God gently invites us to lay down what we were never meant to carry alone. The night is not a time for striving. It is not a time for rehearsing every concern or replaying every conversation. It is a time for rest. A time for trust. A time for remembering that the God who watched over us throughout the day continues to watch over us through the night. The Lord remains faithful when our eyes grow tired. His care continues when our strength is spent. His presence remains near while we sleep. Father, thank You for carrying me through this day. Thank You for every moment of grace, every act of provision, and every unseen way You have protected and guided me. Jesus, I place this day into Your hands. I release the things I cannot change, the questions I cannot answer, and the concerns I cannot solve tonight. Let Your peace settle over my heart and mind. Lord, fill this home with Your presence. Surround every room with Your peace. Bring rest to weary minds, comfort to troubled hearts, and stillness to anxious thoughts. Help me sleep deeply, peacefully, and safely in Your care. Across the world, from Nashville to Auckland, from Lagos to Singapore and Buenos Aires, may hearts find rest, homes know peace, and weary souls discover the comfort of God's unfailing love. Jesús, descanso seguro en Tu paz esta noche. Jesus, descanso seguro na Tua paz esta noite. Jesus, nagpapahinga ako nang payapa sa Iyong presensya ngayong gabi. Father, in peace I lie down and sleep, trusting completely in Your care. Amen. Peace is not the absence of conflict; it is the presence of God. But how do we experience that truth when disagreements threaten our relationships?Paul's letter to the Philippians reminds us that unity within the church isn't optional—it's foundational. He even calls out two women, Euodia and Syntyche, urging them to "agree in the Lord." When conflict arises, we don't ignore it or let it fester. We pursue renewed relationships with grace, prayer, and a gentle spirit. Here's Paul's equation for peace: Focus on God's love plus a gracious spirit plus prayer instead of worry equals the peace of God that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). This peace doesn't just deliver us from anxiety—it guards our hearts and minds, preventing future worry. What we think matters. What we do matters. When we dwell on what is true, honorable, just, pure, and praiseworthy, the God of peace will be with us. Let's be a people committed to renewed relationships.
Presented at Curwensville Alliance on 5/24/26 by Pastor Steve Shields. Listen as Pastor Steve goes through Philippians 4:1-9 and how the peace of God can be yours. The Peace of God can be yours. You can be at peace even with others. You can rise above circumstances. Your emotions do not have to rule your thinking or your behavior. You can choose what playlist runs in your mind. To receive the peace of God decide to rejoice in the Lord. Make it your practice. Look at the good things God places in your path and find joy in them and celebrate them. Be reasonable and gentle. Develop a new playlist to replace the old one. Receiving God’s peace through prayer. It is not you figuring out how to be at peace. Instead it is trusting God to care for what you thought you needed to care for. It is not you rising above your circumstances. Instead it is God giving you peace to rest in all circumstances. It is lifting your prayers to God and knowing that He is above your circumstances, offering you a peace that transcends understanding. It is not you choosing a better playlist. It is God healing your heart and mind as you fill your life with the truth of His love and surrender to Him.
In this episode, Nancy Wilson considers the peace Christ gives to His people, contrasting it with the anxiety and tribulation of the world, and showing how prayer, thanksgiving, cheerfulness, and faith help Christians guard their hearts and minds in the midst of trouble. Anxiety is everywhere. Roughly 38 million American adults are taking medication to manage it—a number that has climbed sharply since 2019. But anxiety isn't just a modern problem, and it isn't merely a clinical one. In this message from Philippians 4:5–7, guest speaker David Forsyth makes the case that anxiety is a sin of little faith—common to all believers, not unique to a few—and that Scripture offers a clear, three-part prescription to address it.First, adjust your focus. "The Lord is near" is not a throwaway phrase but a statement of eschatological reality. Caesar is not Lord. Circumstances are not Lord. The risen Christ is Lord, and he stands near, interceding for his children.Second, cease worry and pray. Paul's command is direct: be anxious for nothing, prayerful in everything. The antidote to worry isn't willpower—it's prayer built on a foundation of thanksgiving. Gratitude resets the soul and establishes the atmosphere in which believing prayer can flourish.Third, believe God's promise. The peace that guards hearts and minds in Christ Jesus is supernatural—it surpasses comprehension. It is God himself standing watch over his children.David Forsyth is honest: this isn't a quick cure. The battle with anxiety is lifelong. But long obedience in the same direction pays off, and God's grace is more than sufficient for the fight. ★ Support this podcast ★
This is message 47 in Gospel Record of John John 14:16-31 Believers are never left alone, because God Himself comes to dwell within them through the Holy Spirit, bringing continual fellowship, guidance, strength, and peace. The presence of the Spirit becomes most evident in a life that loves Christ enough to obey His Word, as obedience deepens awareness of His nearness and truth. While the world searches for peace through outward means, true peace comes from trusting the finished work of Christ, resting in His promises, and living with confidence that He remains present and will one day return for His own. In this episode of God's Vibes, Juliana unpacks the power and rarity of the peace of God. So many people are chasing success, love, money, healing, purpose, visibility, and breakthrough—but what happens when we gain things externally while losing peace internally? God's peace is not fragile comfort or circumstantial calm. It is supernatural steadiness in the middle of uncertainty, grief, pressure, warfare, and transition. It guards your heart. It steadies your mind. It anchors your soul. In this episode, Juliana shares why peace is truly miraculous, what often steals it, and how to cultivate a life that values what heaven values. In a world filled with anxiety, doubt, and cultural pressure, how can Christians experience—and defend—the true peace of God? In this episode, New Testament scholar Jeremiah Johnston joins us to discuss his new project, the Peace of God Bible, and why recovering a biblical understanding of shalom is critical for today's students and young believers. We explore how modern culture has reshaped the idea of peace into something shallow and temporary—and how Scripture offers something far deeper, more enduring, and transformative. Jeremiah shares insights from his work in apologetics and cultural engagement, highlighting the growing mental health crisis among students and the urgent need for a robust, biblical worldview. You'll learn: What makes the Peace of God Bible unique from traditional study Bibles Why shalom is more than emotional calm—it's a holistic vision of flourishing The cultural and worldview challenges undermining true peace today How students can defend a biblical understanding of peace in conversations and apologetics Key Scriptures that anchor a deeper, richer understanding of God's peace How the Resurrection of Jesus—and even the Shroud of Turin—points to ultimate peace and hope Jeremiah also shares powerful stories of young Christians whose lives and witness were transformed by embracing Christ's peace. Whether you're a student, parent, educator, or ministry leader, this conversation will equip you to think biblically, live confidently, and share the truth that changes everything.

Mark explains that when Paul begins with “finally” in the Epistle to the Philippians, he is offering a concluding encouragement for believers to focus their minds on what is true, noble, and pure. He reminds us that how we think shapes how we live, which is why the Christian life involves continually renewing our minds through God's Word. Mark also encourages listeners not to fall into discouragement or perfectionism, but to pursue faithful living with confidence that the God of peace is with us.

Today's message explores the paradox that while peace is a gift given to every believer (our birthright), we must actively decide to step into it (our choice). It is compared to a bank account: the funds are legally yours, but you must "withdraw" them through faith to experience the benefit. __________ John 14:26 NKJV, Philippians 4:6–7 NIV, Acts 12 NIV, Isaiah 26:3 NKJV, 2 Thessalonians 3:16 NIV, Romans 15:13 ESV __________ Partner with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com/partner Connect with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com Leave a Comment: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com/comments __________
Welcome to another episode of "Restoring the Soul with Michael John Cusick." Today, Michael welcomes back his friend, author and spiritual leader Alan Fadling, to dive into themes from Alan's book, "A Non-Anxious Life." Together, they explore what it means to live with peace in a world gripped by anxiety, unpacking Alan's personal journey from being "a master of anxiety" to learning to cultivate peace.Throughout the conversation, Alan Fadling shares how his upbringing, family dynamics, and spiritual formation shaped his experience of anxiety, illuminating the thin line between caring and worrying. The discussion touches on practical ways to practice the presence of God, the unique role that virtues like humility and gentleness play in displacing anxiety, and the centrality of embodiment—experiencing peace not just spiritually, but in our bodies and everyday lives.Listeners will find hope in the idea that anxiety doesn't need to be eradicated, but can become a catalyst for experiencing God's presence and peace more fully. As always, the episode closes with a heartfelt prayer, inviting us into a life marked not by frantic striving, but by the gentleness and trust that come from walking with the Prince of Peace.Support the showENGAGE THE RESTORING THE SOUL PODCAST:- Follow us on YouTube - Tweet us at @michaeljcusick and @PodcastRTS- Like us on Facebook- Follow us on Instagram & Twitter- Follow Michael on Twitter- Email us at info@restoringthesoul.com Thanks for listening!
In this Faith Talks episode, Janna and Judson "Faith" reflect on what it means to begin a new year marked not merely by resolutions, but by genuine steps of faith. Drawing primarily from Colossians, they explain how biblical faith is rooted in knowing who God is, trusting His promises, and allowing His Word to shape daily decisions. Rather than chasing comfort or vague spiritual goals, listeners are encouraged to let Scripture dwell richly in their hearts so faith can actively walk forward in real life.Topics DiscussedWhy Colossians begins with truth before commands and how that shapes obedienceFaith as a walk grounded in God's character, not feelings or circumstancesLetting the peace of God rule, even in uncertainty, trials, or pressureThe role of Scripture in overcoming temptation and spiritual battlesUnderstanding identity in Christ and resisting lies with biblical truthDiscerning God's will through knowing His heart in His WordClosed doors, God's timing, and trusting Him for miraculous openingsPractical ideas like claiming verses, “I am in Christ” statements, and intentional prayer for faith stepsKey TakeawaysFaith for the new year is not primarily about goals but about obedient steps rooted in truth.Knowing who God is precedes trusting what God asks you to do.Scripture is essential fuel for peace, victory over temptation, and clarity in God's will.Believers are already complete in Christ and are called to live out that reality by faith.A meaningful spiritual resolution is to say yes to God's Word and walk accordingly, whatever the year may bring.Faith Talks is a monthly program on the Thee Generation Podcast designed to help young ladies grow in faith and live it out daily.
