Artificial Intelligence is transforming the workplace faster than any innovation in recent history. Jobs are changing. Technology is accelerating. Anxiety and excitement live side by side. So how should followers of Jesus respond? In this message, Pastor Tom VanAntwerp explores the future of work through the lens of Scripture, connecting today's AI revolution with the ancient story of the Tower of Babel. Rather than rejecting technology or placing our trust in it, this sermon invites us to rediscover God's calling for our work—and our humanity. In this message you'll hear: Why new innovations often tempt us to replace trust in God What the Tower of Babel teaches us about technology and pride How AI can be a tool without becoming an idol Why work remains deeply human, spiritual, and formative How God's mercy continues to call us forward—even after failure As technology evolves, one thing remains true: you are not replaceable, and God has a future for you and your work.

We all will die and then be judged. Will we be found waiting for the true and greater High Priest, Christ Jesus? He has made the final, lasting sacrifice so that we can find peace and rest in him. Pastor Tim walks us through Hebrews 9:23-28.
This sermon explores the central mission of God's redemptive plan through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Pastor Tim emphasizes that Jesus is not merely a religious figure or humanitarian, but the Son of God whose death and resurrection provide the only pathway back to the Father. The message challenges listeners to move beyond casual Christianity to a deep, transformative faith that recognizes Jesus' authority to forgive sins and conquer death. Through historical evidence, medical accounts of crucifixion, and theological truth, the sermon establishes that Jesus' claim to be the Son of God demands a personal response. The resurrection serves as God's validation of Jesus' sacrifice and provides certainty for believers about eternal life. The sermon concludes with a call to take a "spiritual Hippocratic oath" - a commitment to share the gospel with those dying in sin, just as doctors are bound to preserve life.

What if faith isn't about controlling the year ahead—but learning how to move with the waves? In this New Year message from Avenue Community Churches, we're invited into Psalm 40 and into the honest, rhythmic life of David: a life where praise and pain, gratitude and desperation, trust and waiting all exist at the same time. This episode refuses the tidy version of spirituality and instead offers something far more real—a faith that learns how to stand when the ground is shifting. Through vivid storytelling, humor, and pastoral honesty, Pastor Tim explores what it means to not fight the waves of life, but to develop the instincts, balance, and trust needed to ride them. From the mud and the mire to a new song rising again, David's story reminds us that God is not only a Savior for eternity, but a present rescuer—one who hears every cry, remembers every tear, and delights in lifting His people again and again. This episode speaks to: The exhaustion of waiting—and the hope hidden inside it The courage to trust God when life feels chaotic or unresolved A faith that remembers past rescue while clinging to future hope Why obedience and surrender matter more than religious performance How our stories of deliverance are never just about us If you're stepping into a new year feeling grateful and overwhelmed… faithful and unsure… hopeful and tired—this message is for you. You don't have to dictate the year ahead. You're invited to trust the One who holds the tides.

In this opening message of the Unstoppable series, Pastor Tim Dunn launches a journey through the book of Acts by focusing on the promise of power given to the early church. Acts reminds us who the church truly is—not defined by culture, influence, or branding, but formed by the risen Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit. This sermon explores Acts 1:1–11, where Jesus calls His followers to wait for the Holy Spirit before stepping into their mission as witnesses to the ends of the earth. Pastor Tim unpacks the role of the Spirit in empowering courage, unity, and faithful witness in a complex and often resistant world. Acts shows us that God's work continues not through human effort alone, but through divine empowerment.
Pastor Tim delivers a powerful message about spiritual growth and flourishing in Christ for the new year. Using the imagery of palm trees and cedars of Lebanon from Psalm 92, he illustrates what the life of a righteous believer should look like—resilient, deeply rooted, fruitful, and victorious. The sermon emphasizes that growth happens when believers not only agree with God's Word in faith but also take action through discipleship. Pastor Johnson challenges the congregation to look beyond their current circumstances to see God's intended picture for their lives. He explains how Christ's righteousness makes believers rot-resistant like cedars, able to isolate wounds and heal through the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The message culminates with a practical six-month discipleship plan for the church, moving from theory to application, encouraging believers to engage, establish, equip, and empower others as they make disciples who make disciples.

This week Pastor Tim Wisehart continues in our series teaching through Matthew. Through Chapter 4, Pastor Tim reminds us that we face temptation as Jesus did. However, we can overcome temptation through the power of God and His word.
Pastor Tim shares God-given vision for 2026. He highlights the need for prophetic vision from the Lord to bring order and blessing, warning that without it, people cast off restraint—as seen in the story of the golden calf. The core vision from Philippians 3:17-21 calls believers to live as citizens of heaven on earth, rejecting fleshly desires, shameful pursuits, and earthly mindsets that lead to destruction. Whether you're setting resolutions or seeking divine purpose, this message inspires you to embrace heavenly values, pursue discipline as disciples, and live abundantly in 2026 through Christ's power.CONNECT WITH US:→ Request Prayer: https://bit.ly/3zMyf5E→ Request Care: https://bit.ly/3fBTX5G→ Share a Testimony: https://bit.ly/3Jo7Ped→ Find Events and More: https://bit.ly/3TcrkcR→ Leave us a Review on Google: https://bit.ly/47925jP→ Plan a Visit in Person: https://bit.ly/3sfQdg7FOLLOW US:→ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/illuminatec...→ Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@illuminate_ch...→ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/illuminatech...WE HELP PEOPLE FIND ABUNDANT LIFE IN JESUS!

This sermon explores the transformative power of encountering Jesus through the story of the lame beggar healed at the Beautiful Gate in Acts 3. Pastor Tim emphasizes that celebrated joy is not merely a momentary emotion but a lifestyle that flows from encountering the risen Christ and receiving the Holy Spirit. The message challenges believers to move beyond their limited expectations and trust issues, allowing the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead to work through them. Through personal testimonies of financial provision, family reconciliation, and spiritual breakthrough, the sermon demonstrates how obedience to God and faith in His power leads to new life. The central theme is that when we encounter Jesus, our expectations change, we learn to trust again, we obey truth, and our lives become examples of celebrated joy that draw others to Christ.
