Imagine being told that the best way to help others is to first help yourself. This timeless piece of advice, often heard during airline safety briefings, holds true in the financial world. By taking control of your finances and prioritizing sound strategies, you position yourself to help others and contribute to society at large. The principles of Whole Life Insurance and Austrian Economics follow this same logic. They empower individuals to create stability and independence while reinforcing the broader economy's strength. https://www.youtube.com/live/Km2eIkcoRu4 Today, we'll explore how Whole Life Insurance aligns with Austrian Economics, offering a roadmap to financial freedom rooted in liberty, responsibility, and sustainable practices. This combination challenges the traditional norms of Keynesian economic policies and provides a better path for individual and societal growth. Why Whole Life Insurance and Austrian Economics MatterUnderstanding Austrian EconomicsWhole Life Insurance as a Sound Money SolutionThe Infinite Banking Concept and Austrian EconomicsThe Clash Between Austrian and Keynesian EconomicsThe Power of Whole Life Insurance and Austrian EconomicsTake Control of Your Financial Future Why Whole Life Insurance and Austrian Economics Matter If you've ever felt like the financial system is working against you, you're not alone. Many people are disillusioned by the boom-and-bust cycles, inflation, and instability caused by government intervention in the economy. Austrian Economics offers an alternative approach, emphasizing free markets, individual responsibility, and sound money principles. Whole Life Insurance complements this philosophy by providing a private, stable financial system that empowers individuals to take control of their banking needs. By understanding how Whole Life Insurance and Austrian Economics intersect, you can: Escape the pitfalls of inflationary banking practices. Build lasting wealth on a foundation of stability. Participate in a financial system that prioritizes freedom and personal choice. Let's unpack these concepts and discover why they're the perfect pairing for those seeking financial independence. Understanding Austrian Economics Austrian Economics is built on the principle of liberty—freedom for individuals to make choices that benefit themselves and, in turn, society. Unlike Keynesian Economics, which relies on government intervention to manage demand and manipulate the money supply, Austrian Economics trusts the free market to allocate resources efficiently. This philosophy emphasizes: Individual Choice: People know their needs best and should be free to make decisions without excessive interference. Sound Money: A stable currency that retains value over time is essential to economic stability. Market Efficiency: Free markets naturally balance supply and demand, avoiding the artificial booms and busts caused by intervention. These principles align with the structure of Whole Life Insurance, which operates on sound money practices, making it an ideal financial tool for those who value the Austrian approach. Whole Life Insurance as a Sound Money Solution Whole Life Insurance is unique in that it mirrors the values of Austrian Economics. Unlike banks that engage in fractional reserve lending—creating more money than exists in deposits—life insurance companies operate within the constraints of real savings. When you borrow against your Whole Life Insurance policy, you're not inflating the money supply; you're using funds backed by actual value. This approach eliminates the inflationary pressures associated with traditional banking systems and ensures that your financial foundation remains secure. By adopting Whole Life Insurance, you take control of your financial destiny, just as Austrian Economics advocates for individuals to take control of economic decisions.
These conversation's aren't necessarily comfortable, but they're essential if you're going to have your estate pass to the right hands, in a timely way. Susan Brugger and Nicole Steinbach, two Rural Mutual agents in Boscobel have been involved in these discussions for years. While the subject may be difficult to bring up, consequences of not bringing it up at all are really sad. Pam Jahnke sits down to visit with the two agents about how to start planning. Moving at your own pace is a priority for them, and making sure that ALL of your advisors are around the table for the greatest productivity also matters. With a background in health care, Steinbach says there's nothing more heartbreaking than when a family has to post a "gofundme" site to try and pay for the expense of a funeral. Also, assuming that your loved one will be able to not only afford assisted living, but also find room in the facility of their choice, is not always correct. All Rural Mutual offices generally have simple pamphlets that can help you begin organizing your thoughts, and perhaps documents. When you're ready, having a Rural Mutual agent professionally review what's in place and advise on what's still to be taken care of can you give you and your family piece of mind.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Episode 139:Last time ‘Two Gentlemen of Verona' gave us a look at second comedy from Shakespeare's early phase as a playwright. As you heard certain elements in the plotting of the play and execution of its denouement make it problematic, but nevertheless it showed early promise. The lyrical nature of much of the language used in that play is quite typical of the earliest comedies and it is probably not coincidental that this was around the time that Shakespeare was writing his long lyrical poem ‘Venus and Adonis', so we might assume that his mindset at the time was that of a lyrical poet, and maybe we see that influence still in his probable next work, the much more accomplished play ‘The Comedy of Errors', which has remained one of the more popular Shakespeare comedies since its first performance. “That's how we do things here.” Sometimes that's used as an excuse…at least in my experience! But at it's best, it's a wonderful definition of culture. Moe Carrick, workplace culture expert, defines the sometimes squishy term “culture” with “that's how we do things here.” I love that definition for a few reasons. 1 - It implies that if ignored culture will still be there 2- It means you have to live out your values in order to influence the culture. In this conversation we dove deep into the power of being seen by a strong leader, the reward an organization will have when intentionally building a culture and the way joy can show up in the workplace. (spoiler: it's increased productivity and engagement) Moe shared some warning signs for what will happen when culture is ignored and helped us understand that. Although we're two Enneagram Sevens, we're both aware that work will not always be sunshine and rainbows. If you're a leader trying to build a postive culture, I invite you to join us to talk through what that REALLY means and how we can move the needle toward a workplace filled with Joyosity. Here's what we talked about: 04:50 How Moe overcame big challenges young 07:50 Interpreting the experiences that shape you 08:44 The power of being seen 11:23 Defining culture 16:08 What does employee engagement mean? 20:30 The consequence of not paying attention to culture 24:35 Productivity and joy Links/ Resources: Connect With Moe on LinkedIn here, or visit her website here. The Free 99 Step: Joyosity Explorer Map will guide you to understanding the deeper purpose and story you tell yourself about your work. Joy is linked to purpose and productivity increases by 20% or more when you directly link your purpose to your work. The Leadership Lift free online workshop will help you rise above the cycle of stress and exhaustion so you can avoid burnout — and even have joy at work. You'll map your own path with Jenn as a guide. Let's move you toward excitement and confidence with a plan for your success for the whole of your life.
