We often tend to overvalue what isn't truly valuable and, conversely, to undervalue those things which truly are valuable. In this episode, Pastor Chris Kipp teaches a message entitled "The Priceless Kingdom" from 2 of Jesus' parables found in Matthew 13:44-46. Chris teaches about the true value of the kingdom of God.

Sunday, March 13, 2022 – We’re studying the Parables of the Hidden Treasure & the Pearl. Both Parables speak about the Joy of discovery and attaining very precious and valuable treasures, one hidden and one purposely sought after. What makes these similar parables different is the viewpoints they are seen from. The Hidden Treasure is from a man's viewpoint that finds God, the Pearl is from God's viewpoint when Jesus finds us. Both joyfully give up everything to gain the prize. I pray that we can appreciate how much Jesus truly gave up to pay the price to purchase us on that Old Rugged Cross. If we can do that, then it will help us joyfully give up everything we have here on earth to find Him…

Jesus gives full disclosure when He calls all people to follow Him. He tells us that we will be blessed but He also tells us to “count the cost” and uses language like “dying to self”, and “carrying our cross” to describe the process of being His disciple. What exactly does all of this mean? And why would we want to answer a challenging call like this in the first place? On Sunday, we will explore what Jesus is calling us to and determine whether it’s a burden to be avoided, or a blessing to be pursued with all our heart and soul.
In this presentation of the Parable of the Pearl of Great Price and of the Parable of Hidden Treasure, Robin invites us to focus again on Jesus as the one that gives meaning to our lives while also being the model for how to live.
The Greatest Treasure. Great gifts from Jesus change us. There is nowhere better; no place we would rather be. You are loved, therefore you exist. You are God's masterpiece.
The kingdom must be valued above all
Sermon by Kene Izuchuckwu The Parable Of The Hidden Treasure part 2 of the series The Parables
The kingdom of God has a value that calls us to give up all we have to gain it. Do you want what you think is best, or do you want God’s best for your life? You and I must be willing to give up everything we have in order to gain it. Jesus makes is clear that no one can purchase the God’s kingdom with money or good works. As with any sacrifice we learn today that, “If the cause is great enough, the cost is irrelevant.” Sermon Notes @ https://my.bible.com/events/633693
How much will it cost? When it comes to following Jesus, we all know that is will cost us something. Will I have to give this up? Am I required to change that? Do I need to go there? Asking the cost is an important question when it comes to faith. But it’s not the only question. In fact, perhaps the better question is: what will you gain? As we conclude our Kingdom Vision series, learn to see the incredible value of the Kingdom.
Sacrificing all to follow Christ gives great joy.

In our familiar text, we often look at the perspective from man's perspective. However, Bro. Hughes looks today at these parables as being from God's perspective. The treasure is us and the pearl is the church. Bro. Hughes points out that when God is in control, then there are certain things that follow. There are many conflicting views about life. Many people's lives are messed up because of their take on life. Bro. Hughes tells us that he wants to go to the creator for his guidance in life. If we buy a IBM computer, we do not go to Apple for help in how to work it. What does our creator have to say about us and our journey on earth? Many people are looking for advice on how to live life from the wrong source. It is important to understand that when God rules, there will be characteristics of life that will be part of our life. By being part of the treasure of God's plan, we will enjoy the blessings of the best life, but there will be a cost associated with that. There is the discovery of a treasure in our text, but there is also a price required to attain that treasure. When God rules, that treasure will be more important than everything else. The treasure will be the focal point. We must all find the treasure. It cannot be discovered for us. The value of the treasure is far beyond any earthly currency. What kind of price can you put on healing or for the restoration of a life lost in sin? When God rules we discover that there are some things that are worth selling all. We will never regret any sacrifice made for God. God will always bless us more abundantly than any effort or sacrifice we may make. When God rules we discover what true happiness is. In our text, the merchant was seeking good pearls, but he discovered the best, and gave all he had to posses it. He had the wisdom to discern the best from all that may have been good. When we allow Him to rule, we can discover the best. There are a lot of good people in this world, but they will be lost unless they discover the best. Do we recognize the best when it is before us? Are we satisfied with good, and stop seeking the best? Be true to what is highest and not be lost in just good living. The crowing possession was not many thing, but one thing. Paul said "This one thing I do, I forget what is behind, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling." (Phil 3:14) We must learn that when God rules, we will find the best.
