The 1st sermon in a series on Philippians. In his opening address, Paul greets the Philippian Church with gratitude and grace. He declares himself their servant in Jesus and thanks them for how they've partnered with him in the work of the Gospel, something he knows God will bring to completion one day in Jesus. Insight from the Apostle Paul on finding joy in challenging circumstances.
Lenten worship is an invitation to live in greater awareness of God’s grace at work in our lives. Biblical disciplines are encouraged to help us be more aware of and sensitive to God’s presence. Time given up for these activities can be joyful experiences of God’s grace working in and through us. Paul reveals his source of joyful praying.
Paul’s writings to the church are that of his confidence in God’s ability to do anything. Paul was confident that there was nothing that God could not do. .
On resurrection Sunday, Dr. Sams again reminds us of God's love for our souls by opening the book of Philippians, launching a new sermon series, "A Life Like No Other". Using the Apostle Paul's own words, Dr. Sams shows us the power of God's love to transform us from potential saints into masterpieces of sainthood. To illustrate this, a special guest takes the platform to testify to the tender and personal saving power of Christ.

Study through Philippians
Lewis and Clark Bible Church
What joy in these verses of Philippians 1:1-6! Paul's confidence in the Lord shines through his words; his cup overflows. He acknowledges God as the beginning and the end of our time here in this broken world. He praises his partners in their obedience and offers encouragement to them in their ministry by reminding them that their strength is in the Lord's faithful, guiding hand. The power of God's timing as it unfolds in each of our lives, and in life as a church, remains undeniably evident as Redeemer celebrates the 3rd anniversary of helping save the buildings we know and love at 43 Wentworth Street. What is God stitching together in your heart today? What seeds is He planting in the same dirt into which He breathed life long ago? What is He shaping in you and in us? May we receive it with gladness!
