On this July 27th episode, your host Hunter invites you to join him on day 209 of our journey through the Scriptures. Together, you'll warm your hearts by the fires of God's love, reminded that our focus is always on the Living Word—Jesus—rather than mere ink on a page. Today's readings bring us deep into Isaiah chapters 50 through 52, Psalm 92, and 2 Peter 1. In this episode, Hunter reflects on the enduring promises of God's comfort and salvation, highlighting the powerful assurance and confidence that comes from experiencing the Father's love—just as Peter did on the mount of Transfiguration. You'll be encouraged to anchor your hope in God's unwavering faithfulness, even when life feels uncertain or your confidence is shaken. Ending in prayer, Hunter reminds you that you are God's beloved child, cherished and never alone. So settle in, bring an open heart, and let the Word speak to you today—there's no doubt about it, you are loved. TODAY'S DEVOTION: A Confidence Rooted in Love Need a confidence boost? Peter's experience on the mount of Transfiguration filled him with confidence. He recalls that moment in our reading today from 2 Peter 1, where he says, “Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message we proclaim by the prophets.” Hearing the voice of God built his confidence. What he heard was God's declaration of love for his son: “This is my son whom I love. With him I am well pleased. Listen to him.” Peter is still drawing confidence from this word, from this declaration of God's love for his son. But he isn't just remembering an event—he's recalling how that experience awakened him to the love of God for himself, too. In John 17, Jesus speaks to the Father and says, “I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.” This realization—that God loves us just as he loves Jesus the Son—began to take root in Peter's life. It changed him. The knowledge and experience of God's love gave him confidence to move forward, no matter the challenge. Have you experienced the love of the Father? Experiencing his love transforms us from the inside out. It gives us confidence and the courage to move forward, just as it did for Peter. If you're feeling unconfident today, that's okay. Listen to those words spoken over Jesus and know they are spoken over you—you are God's child, and you are loved. That seed of truth may take time to grow, but as you allow the Holy Spirit to nurture this reality in your life, it will bear fruit. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's the prayer I have for my family—for my wife, my daughters, my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Jesus is my shepherd. You have called me by my name into the life of the Beloved. Here in the stillness, I remember that I am not alone. I belong to you and to the great communion of saints and sinners held together in your love. Remind me, Lord, that every breath is grace, every encounter is a chance to give what I have received—mercy without measure. When I forget who I am, when I lose my way, lead me again to still waters, restore my soul. Renew my hope. Reroute me in the joy of simply being yours. Amen. And now, as our Lord has taught us, we are bold to pray: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen. OUR WEBSITE: www.dailyradiobible.com We are reading through the New Living Translation. John 6:43-45, Jesus answered and said to them, “Do not grumble among yourselves. No one can come to Me, unless the Father, who sent Me, draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught of God.' Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.” Look at the trust and confidence the Son of God has in His Father. This is our Live to Love scripture encouragement today. We have the life of the Son in us, and therefore we have His trust and confidence in the Father as we abide in Him. Jesus wasn't striving to get this crowd to believe in Him. He was resting in His Father's work, the work of teaching His listeners about Him, and then drawing them to Him. We have that same confidence as we love people with Jesus. We don't need to feel pressure to get results or to get people to make a decision for Christ. That will rob them of their assurance. Their assurance comes from the experience of listening to and learning from the Father. The Father does His teaching and drawing ministry through His Word, the circumstances of life, and His providence as we love, share God's Word, and trust Him. Do you remember how the Father taught you and drew you to Christ? That's why you came to Jesus. We can depend on the power of God to draw people to Christ as we love with Him. This frees us from unbelief because we aren't looking at ourselves or the people we serve. We are focused on the power of God from the beginning of the encounters with people until the end. We are encouraged in these verses that if the Father teaches and draws them, then Jesus will raise them up on the final day. That's security, and therefore the source of our assurance and confidence. So today, let us love boldly and share with confidence in the power of God to accomplish His will for His glory. I invite you to become a partner in our ministry. Would you pray about becoming a regular supporter of Elijah Ministries and the Live to Love with Jesus ministry? I hope you will receive the joy and benefit of "giving it forward," so others may receive encouragement to turn their hearts to God and to live to love with Jesus. David, in Psalm 27, demonstrates His confidence in His God. Through the words of this Psalm, we see the genuine emotional reality of trusting God, doubting God, and growing our desire to seek Him and His presence. All these things culminate in David being able to trust in God and seek His presence no matter the circumstance

Thank you for joining us for today's worship service! We find great wisdom in how to live today in the ancient words of Psalm 27. Pastor Chris explains this timelessness, saying "the Psalms show us the touch point between the mess of life and the majesty of God." In this psalm, David shows us what it means to be a "man after God's own heart." David placed his unwavering confidence in God, kept his focus on God, and expressed his worship of God in any location and any situation. Pastor Chris extends the invitation to us in our times of struggle to place our confidence in Jesus, who told us in John 16:22 to "take heart, because I have overcome the world." If you prayed to make Jesus your Lord today, we want to rejoice with you! If you would want someone to pray with you, we are eager to do so! If you would like more information about our church, we're want to share. Please text the word "NEXT" to 407-77 so we can engage with you. Fr. Mike talks about how we see both an abundance of faith, and a great lack of faith in our readings today. While the widow Elisha visits shows us a beautiful example of walking in faith, king Ahaz fails to repent as he falls deeper into sin. Today's readings are 2 Kings 4, 2 Chronicles 28, and Psalm 127. A @Christadelphians Video: Description: The wisdom from above is pure. It is the word of God which abides forever and God, through His word, will mould and develop His character in those who seek Him.# SummaryThe presentation on the Book of James focuses on how faith purifies character and instils confidence in God. It highlights key themes from each chapter, such as the importance of faith under trial, the impact of good works, the discipline of the tongue, and the necessity of humility and patience. The speaker emphasises the practical wisdom found in James, urging listeners to embody God's character and extend mercy and kindness to others, while also reminding them of the power of prayer and the significance of helping those who stray from the truth.# Highlights-

Confidence in God's perfect timing
This week's spiritual reading excerpt comes from Joseph Tissot's work, How To Profit from Your Faults. You'll hear about God's mercy and the confidence we can have in it.
Frs. Vincent Haudry S.J. and Claude de la Colombiere S.J. on the importance of unwavering confidence in God's mercy and grace
Divine healing is a gift of God's grace for all. Just as salvation comes to us by God's grace, healing does as well. We do not deserve it and cannot earn it. In the NT people did not view healing as a right, but as an act of God's grace. We are in no position to demand God to give us healing.Main Points:1. In the church today there is a lot of false teaching about healing. What the Bible teaches us is that healing occurs according to the will of God. There is no magic formula. God is concerned about our needs. We bring them to him. We pray. But God is the healer.2. Admittedly, the sovereignty of God is difficult to understand. Why does He heal some and not heal others? I do not know. But this is not for me to figure out or question. My responsibility is to do what I have been instructed to do in Scripture.3. Let's remain confident in our belief that God has the power to heal the sick and that this blessing is offered to us.Today's Scripture Verses:James 5:13-15 - “Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.”Isaiah 53:5 - “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes, we are healed.”Quick Links:Donate to support this podcastLeave a review on Apple PodcastsGet a copy of The 5 Minute Discipleship JournalConnect on SocialJoin The 5 Minute Discipleship Facebook Group
