Rushing this episode out because EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO SEE THIS MOVIE. We watched Boots Riley's vision SORRY TO BOTHER YOU starring Lakeith Stanfield as a broke Oakland telemarketer who gets a major key from none other than Danny Glover. What's that major key? If you want to succeed in business, use your "white voice". And Cassius just so happens to have the greatest "white voice" of all time, propelling him higher and higher into the business world, crashing through the glass ceiling and upward past the borders that define our "reality" as a species. Pretty amazing stuff for a first time director, and we loved discussing it as a vessel for personal responsibility, labor unions and the tendency of a corporation to co opt the art of subversion.
