So what did you expect, Austin? You cut $150 billion, one-third, of the police budget, which led to cutting 150 officers from the police force, and an expected additional cut of 147 by the end of this year. And you wonder why your police chief is asking you to call 311 for "non-emergencies" instead of 911 because he doesn't have enough cops?! Austin City Council Member Mackenzie Kelly talks about that and Prop A, that seeks to refund the police department. Who opposes it? Why, George Soros! This is the rare time we've ever posted an episode on Labour Day, but this movie DOES star the man who has to do “every dirty job”. Harry Callahan is the quintessential good guy with a gun who has to combat a bad guy with a gun, but Harry is also a reckless vigilante in the Batman mode. This movie is also pretty much just a sadist chasing a sadist around San Francisco. Dirty Harry might be fascist and it might even be dangerous, but that doesn't take away the flick's visceral entertainment value. It's a complicated movie about a complicated issue. Don Siegel directs Clint Eastwood in perhaps his signature role, but are they just pedaling right-wing propaganda in this crime classic? How does the movie play after last year's #BLM and “Defund The Police” movements took America by storm? We had plenty to say about all that. So enjoy your hour with the 407th Ellises' Analysis because the world isn't getting any better and all us punks could use a little escape into fantasy right about now. Well, Actually: Popeye Doyle is indeed one of AFI's Top 50 Heroes (he ranked 44th). Also, Eastwood only directed Sudden Impact in the Dirty Harry series. www.commsolutionsmn.com- Last fall, the Minneapolis Charter Commission expertly tabled a resolution from the City Council to disband the Minneapolis Police Department. Now outside funding from George Soros' Open Society has given money to circulate a petition to go around the Charter Commission and get the question to change the charter on the ballot this coming November. Now all of these special interest groups like OutFront MN, ISAIAH, Our Justice, Socialist Alternative, MN Hospitality Union, Women for Political Change, Recall Mike Freeman, Take Action MN, Reclaim the Block, and more have all joined together to roll out the astroturf and get this pushed through using a group called Yes Minneapolis. If you look at the campaign finance report 78% of the donations come from people and groups outside of MN. Tides Advocacy, Black Visions Collective, and the National ACLU, have all donated tens of thousands of dollars each. Even the Minneapolis Teacher's Federation supports this measure. They are out of control! The question is super confusing, and it's on purpose. All I can say is that you need to "Vote No". This gets rid of the police department and replaces it with a Department of Public safety that may hire police officers, as needed. It also takes the authority away from the Mayor's office (Jacob Frey), who currently supports this. Where is the organized opposition to this, by the way? Do you really want this to pass? The numbers say "no", but there needs to be a rising up. The surrounding suburban cities are all seeing a rise in crime that can be traced back directly to Minneapolis residents. Minneapolis, as the largest city in the region, has a responsibility to the other metro cities that it's actions affect. Maybe local mayors and police chiefs should get together and sue the city for an injunction. It's time to do something before the entire Metro area inherits the rise in violent crime we've seen in Minneapolis, and the whole place gets a lot more dangerous. Also, it's history lesson week... great. Have you checked out our Spotify playlist? www.commsolutionsmn.com- Can you name your county attorney? Each county has one. Too many county attorneys across the United States have decided to take on the jobs of defense attorneys and legislators. How can they just decide not to prosecute certain crimes? Our cities and counties are becoming less safe as they turn criminals back out into the streets. They will tell you that it's only low-level offenses, but that's not true. It's shoplifters, car thieves, rioters, and in some cases, even violent crimes like murder. We are seeing these county attorneys go soft on crime in Hennepin, Ramsey, and St Louis counties, among other Minnesota counties. Attorney General, Keith Ellison, has taken over prosecuting police in certain cases. Los Angeles County's George Gascon is letting almost everyone go, and the police are fighting him every step of the way. These criminals learn that crime pays, and continue to violate the law, rather than letting the justice system deter criminal acts down the line. Ultimately, this makes all of us less safe, and feeling less secure in our communities. These cities need to fight back, and some are starting to. In this episode, Jason attempts to take the "Travel Behavior Inventory" from the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Met Council. Big shock... what a scam to track and trace where you go and how you get there. How far will we get into the inventory before we refuse to go any further? Have you checked out our Spotify playlist? Democrats seem to be disengaged from the current vaccine/mask hysteria. The behavior of these medical rebels is tantamount to a death wish. It should not be difficult to message this not only to Democrats and Progressives but also to the country. Everyone loves their children. Many have teachers, custodians, coaches, and others in their lives. Republican Senators Tommy Tuberville & Josh Hawley tried to embarrass Democrats with a #DefundThePolice stunt. Senators Cory Booker and Dick Durbin embarrassed them. They tried it two times. And each time, it failed spectacularly. These Senators actually make Fox News' Peter Doocy seem like a genius. Rise Up Patriots and Resist: A Third of the Country Has Finally Achieved Herd Stupidity, and It's Killing Us. Behold, if you dare, dumb white privilege at its most lunatic. Somehow, this country's idiot, ignorant, anti-science masses have determined that kids going back to school amidst a surging COVID variant presents the perfect murderous opportunity to bravely declare they “choose freedom,” also sick and dead kids, possibly including their own, as a reasonable price to pay to own the libs and enjoy the brief, bitter illusion of control over a life and country that feels to be spinning out of their control. --- If you like what we do please do the following! New documents from the Federal Election Commission showcase the depth of reported financial ties between the left's "defund the police" movement and a billionaire donor.  According to FEC filings, George Soros made his largest donation of 2021, $1 million, to a political action committee group that has pushed to defund the police. Plus, a new Congressional report show President Biden has spent $2 billion in taxpayer funds to stop construction at the border wall -- as a record high number of migrants (188,829) were stopped by the Customs and Border Patrol last month.  And, Dr. Anthony Fauci is defending the NIH giving $600,000 for the study of whether bat coronaviruses could be transmitted to humans with a new spin: it would have been "negligent" to not fund the research.
