It's Monday, August 25th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus 2 arrested in Illinois church arson Authorities in southern Illinois, responding to a call on July 24, have arrested two men in connection with the arson and vandalism of McKinney Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in the town of Marion, reports International Christian Concern. Damage estimates to the property are expected to exceed $300,000. Ethan Lam, arrested on July 30, and Chad Krueger, arrested on August 14, were both charged with place of worship arson and criminal damage to property.  Attacks on American churches throughout the nation appear to be more prevalent in recent years. Romans 1:29-30 says, “They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are … God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents.” Kamala Harris' disastrous appearance on CBS' Late Show Former Vice President Kamala Harris appeared on CBS's Late Show with Stephen Colbert last month promoting her new book entitled 107 Days, reports Newsbusters.org. It was a disaster. Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, tweeted, “Colbert lost CBS $40 million dollars a year because not enough people watched, so CBS canceled it. Kamala cost her donors $2 billion dollars in 107 days and she lost in an electoral landslide. America rejected both of them, so now they're blaming America. Look in the mirror!” Take a listen to Stephen Colbert who makes wildly inaccurate claims about the national American mood and Trump's second term.  It's followed by another characteristic “word salad” by Kamala Harris that doesn't make a lick of sense. Listen. COLBERT: “The national mood is so grim in many ways. And people are so shocked by the abuses and the abhorrent corruption …” HARRIS: “Yep.” COLBERT:  “and the violence against neighbors happening in the United States …” HARRIS: “Yeah. Understandable.” COLBERT:  “by our government …” HARRIS: “Yeah.” COLBERT: “and the free reign being given by Congress and the Supreme Court to this President, …” HARRIS: “Yeah.” COLBERT: “that just, less than a year ago, things were very joyful. There was, there was actually a lot of hope associated with your campaign, and there was a lot, there was a lot of promise that we might actually not only keep this absolute barbarian out of the White House …” HARRIS: “Yeah.” COLBERT: “but also we might actually make progress as, as a country with the type of people that we wanted to see in office, and a younger, more vital …” HARRIS: “Yeah.” COLBERT: “revived political consciousness in America. What do you think of when you look back at that, that time and that feeling?” HARRIS: “What I look back at is, as I said, how people realized the commonality and the collective strength and our collective love of our country. We love our country. And the thing about that experience is exactly what propels me to think about this moment and the future and not look back too much, which is: those same people, they're still here.” For the men of the late night comedy talk shows, the first half of 2025 was an instance of history repeating itself. According to a NewsBusters study, 99 percent of their political guests were on the Left, matching the result for the last six months of 2024. Black pastor rejoices that Black Entertainment suspended its Hip Hop awards show Pastor John Amanchukwu said that revival may be burgeoning in the black community, and that he believes interest is waning in what he described as the debauchery afflicting much of black pop culture in recent decades, reports The Christian Post. Amanchukwu, an author and preacher from North Carolina who wrote the 2022 book Eraced: Uncovering the Lies of Critical Race Theory and Abortion, also suggested the Left has done much to alienate many black men, a trend he claimed manifested during the 2024 presidential election. Amanchukwu, who was formerly a football player for North Carolina University, recently spoke out on his podcast in favor of the decision of Black Entertainment Television (BET) indefinitely suspending its Hip Hop Awards and Soul Train Awards after 38 years. The 2025 BET Awards in June saw a significant drop among the key 18-49 demographic, cratering by almost 50% from the 2024 ceremony, according to TV Ratings Guide. AMANCHUKWU: “BET suspending these award shows isn't a cultural tragedy. It's a long overdue mercy killing. “These ceremonies became annual worship services for filth, degrading women, and the men allowed the women to be exploited.” Proverbs 11:22 says, “Like a gold ring in a pig's snout is a beautiful woman without discretion.” AMANCHUKWU: “It glorified violence and celebrat[ed] ghetto dysfunction. That is the culture that they're trying to push upon blacks. “To see that these award shows are going away, that is a good sign for black America. It means that not enough minorities are tuning in because they have become disinterested. That is a good thing.” Purposeful vacation in Branson, Missouri this fall Want to take a purposeful family vacation to Branson, Missouri? The man and barrel in the old logo represented "the old country store experience where folks would gather around and share stories." According to Cracker Barrel's own website, the man they eliminated from the logo is based on Uncle Herschel McCartney, the real uncle of Cracker Barrel founder Dan Evins.   Ken Blackwell with the Family Research Council wrote, “He wasn't a corporate mascot; he was family. His values inspired the restaurant's entire culture, and they even named a breakfast plate after him. Now, Cracker Barrel's corporate leadership has erased him. The logo has been stripped down into bland, soulless minimalism in the name of ‘modernization.' But let's be honest: this isn't modernization. It's the same tired playbook we've seen from Bud Light, Target, and Disney … sacrificing tradition to appease activists who never even eat there. And the result is always the same: go woke, go broke.” Shares of Cracker Barrel fell $4.22, or 7.2%, to $54.80 per share in Thursday trading, shedding $94 million in market value. The stock had dipped to a low of $50.27 earlier in the day, representing a loss of almost $200 million in its capitalization. However, it's not just about the logo redesign, but the new menu items and redecorated stores that eschew the chain's old-timey approach in favor of a more modern taste and look.  Some suggest that the woke changes are connected to the fact that the BlackRock Investment Firm holds 3,317,812 shares of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, which represents 14.9% of the company's outstanding shares. This substantial stake indicates that BlackRock is indeed a major institutional investor in Cracker Barrel, though not necessarily a controlling one. The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Show (08/20/2025): 3:05pm- California Governor Gavin Newsom is now mimicking President Donald Trump's social media style. For example, after Dana Perino critiqued his strategy to garner attention, Newsom's press office posted to X: “DANA ‘DING DONG' PERINO (NEVER HEARD OF HER UNTIL TODAY!) IS MELTING DOWN BECAUSE OF ME, GAVIN C. NEWSOM! FOX HATES THAT I AM AMERICA'S MOST FAVORITE GOVERNOR (‘RATINGS KING') SAVING AMERICA—WHILE TRUMP CAN'T EVEN CONQUER THE ‘BIG' STAIRS ON AIR FORCE ONE ANYMORE!!! TRUMP HAS “LOST HIS STEP” AND FOX IS LOSING IT BECAUSE WHEN I TYPE, AMERICA NOW WINS!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.” While outlets like Pod Save America and Politico praise the posts, are they going to help win Newsom any support in 2028? Unlikely. 3:30pm- Rich is taping at Fox News on Friday and is on vacation next week. White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller commented on protesters in opposition to the crime crackdown: "We're going to ignore these stupid white hippies that all need to go home and take a nap because they're all over 90 years old." 4:25pm- During a Wednesday Zoom conversation, Texas Representative Nicole Collier was informed that she was needed on the Texas House floor to participate in a vote on redistricting. Collier fled the state earlier this month in an attempt to deny the Texas House a quorum—effectively preventing a vote on redistricting and halting a vote on providing financial relief for families impacted by last month's devastating floods that killed more than 120 people. In response to Collier's forced departure from the Zoom meeting, Sen. Cory Booker screamed: “freaking outrageous!” 4:30pm- In response to Hurricane Erin, Governor Phil Murphy said: "I don't want to be the Amityville mayor from Jaws, but the fact of the matter is, I think going in the ocean for the next number of days is something you got to avoid.” 4:45pm- Rep. ISIS soldiers behead Christians in Mozambique, CBS’ Stephen Colbert doubles down on liberal jokes after cancellation, Trump cancels half billion dollars for UCLA over anti-Semitism

It's Friday, August 8th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus ISIS soldiers behead Christians in Mozambique, burning churches International observers are reporting that ISIS-aligned soldiers are beheading Christians and burning churches and homes in central and southern Africa – with some of the most brutal attacks happening in the nation of Mozambique, reports Fox News. The Middle East Media Research Institute – a counter-terrorism nonprofit based in Washington, D.C. – is sounding the alarm about what it describes as a "silent genocide" taking place by Muslim terrorists against Christians.   Alberto Fernandez, their Vice President, spoke to Fox News. FERNANDEZ: “What we see in Africa today is a kind of silent genocide or silent brutal, savage war that is occurring in the shadows and all too often ignored by the international community. We see rampaging jihadist groups from West Africa and even in the south in Mozambique. “The fact, for example, is that jihadist groups are in a position to take over, not one, not two, but several countries in Africa. It is very dangerous for the national security of the United States, let alone the security of the poor people who are there.” Fernandez spoke bluntly about the goal of these Muslim terrorist groups in Africa. FERNANDEZ: “The goal is eliminating Christian communities completely. These jihadist groups want to eliminate all the Christians in that area, take that area over, and keep pushing.” And he's grateful for President Trump's willingness to become involved. FERNANDEZ:  “The President's initiative in stopping the growing war between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, its neighbor, is very significant, because this could have become a terrible war. We know that jihadists like to take advantage of vacuums, security vacuums, ungoverned spaces.” The migration agency said Monday that attacks by Muslim insurgents in Mozambique's northern Cabo Delgado province displaced more than 46,000 people in the span of eight days just last month. Sixty percent of those forced from their homes were children. The Muslim jihadists of Africa would do well to follow the advice of Gamaliel, the Pharisee from the time of Christ. In Acts 5:38-39, he said, “Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” Amazon Web Services gives the Trump admin $1 billion coupon In the United States, Amazon Web Services is giving the Trump administration a $1 billion coupon to use their services for the federal government's digital transformation and artificial intelligence capacity, reports Politico.com. On Thursday, the General Services Administration announced a sweeping “OneGov” agreement with Amazon Web Services that would yield up to $1 billion in cost savings for federal agencies shifting to cloud services. But the Amazon deal is not exclusive. Similar OneGov agreements are in the works with other major cloud providers, including Microsoft and Google. Oracle also recently signed a deal giving government agencies a 75% discount on Oracle technology. Trump cancels half billion dollars of federal funding for UCLA over anti-Semitism The Trump administration has canceled $584 million in grants for the University of California in Los Angeles, claiming they did not take a strong enough stance against on-campus anti-Semitism, reports One America News. UCLA recently reached a $6 million settlement with three Jewish students and a Jewish professor who sued the school in a civil rights dispute, claiming pro-Palestinian protesters were permitted to block them from accessing certain areas on campus in 2024. President Donald Trump's office announced that the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division found UCLA in violation of the Equal Rights Act of 1964 “by acting with deliberate indifference in creating a hostile educational environment for Jewish and Israeli students.” Catholic priest met homosexual prostitute in church parking lot Clemente Guerrero-Olvera, a Catholic parochial vicar at St. Ann Church in Clayton, North Carolina, was arrested and charged with soliciting prostitution with a 20-year-old man he allegedly met on the homosexual app named Grindr in the church's parking lot, reports LifeSiteNews.com. During an unrelated search for a missing person around 1:00 a.m. on August 4th, a police deputy spotted the young man, identified as Ja'Quavis Brinson, inside a vehicle in St. Ann's parking lot and another man, later identified as Guerrero-Olvera, who ran away, according to the Johnston County Report. The 47-year-old Catholic priest was promptly arrested and charged with felony solicitation of prostitution after an investigation revealed that he had arranged to meet the 20-year-old via Grindr, allegedly for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity. Guerrero-Olvera was booked at the Johnston County Detention Center and later released on a $2,500 secured bond. Brinson of Benson, North Carolina was charged with misdemeanor prostitution.  1 Corinthians 6:9-11 says, “Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” Two weeks after cancellation, Colbert doubles down on liberal jokes And finally, it's been over two weeks since CBS announced on July 17th that it was cancelling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert as of May 2026. In the first show after the cancellation was announced, the leftist comedian addressed the news. COLBERT: “On Friday, Donald Trump posted, ‘I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings.” (audience boos) “Over the weekend, it sunk in that they're killing off our show, but they made one mistake. They left me alive!” (audience laughs) However, Colbert has responded by doubling down on the same liberal jokes and liberal guests that made viewers (and advertising dollars) turn away in the first place, reports Newsbusters.org. According to a new Media Research Center study, Colbert's political jokes targeted conservatives and Republicans 95% of the time, and 100% of his political guests, in the two weeks since his cancellation, were liberals. In the eight episodes from July 21 through July 31, Colbert told 129 jokes about right-leaning individuals or groups compared to only seven about left-leaning people or groups. That 95% disparity is considerably higher than his 2023 number of 86% or 2024 number of 82%. The Late Show has been losing a whopping $40-50 million a year because Colbert has used his network platform to belittle half the country, reports the New York Post. COLBERT: “They pulled the plug on our show because of losses pegged between $40 million and $50 million a year. $40 million is a big number. I could see us losing $24 million, but where would Paramount have possibly spent the other 16 million? Oh, yeah.” (audience laughs) That was a dig, referencing the $16 million settlement CBS' parent company reached with President Trump just weeks ago regarding the deceptive editing of a 60 Minutes interview with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris to aid her candidacy. Here's the edited version which aired on 60 Minutes in a segment with CBS reporter Bill Whitaker. WHITAKER: “But it seems that Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu is not listening.” HARRIS: “We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.” And here is the unedited version, featuring Kamala's signature “word salad” which did not air on 60 Minutes. WHITAKER: “But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening. The Wall Street Journal said that he, that your administration has repeatedly been blindsided by Netanyahu. And in fact, he has rebuffed just about all of your administration's entreaties.” HARRIS: “Well, Bill, [long pause] the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region. And we're not going to stop doing that. We're not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.” Exodus 20:16 records the ninth commandment that God gave Moses on Mt. Sinai.  “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, August 8th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. In this broadcast, the host breaks down a series of dramatic developments: a federal judge—appointed by Barack Obama—issues a nationwide injunction to halt Donald Trump's border enforcement, effectively re-opening the border to illegal crossings and potential criminal networks. Despite the Supreme Court's recent ruling against such sweeping injunctions, lower court judges are defying precedent, creating what the host calls a constitutional crisis designed to provoke Trump into defying orders so the media can brand him a dictator. The conversation also explores the media's surface-level fascination with New York City's self-described democratic socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani (“Comrade Mamdani”) while ignoring his radical Marxist views. Finally, Newsbusters managing editor Curtis Houck joins to discuss how the mainstream media's declining credibility and obsession with attacking Trump have fueled record popularity for the former president, eclipsing even Ronald Reagan among Republican voters.

In these two segments, the hosts expose a sweeping pattern of institutional corruption and media complicity. First, they unpack bombshell revelations confirming the Russia collusion narrative was a deliberate hoax orchestrated by top Obama-era intelligence officials—John Brennan, James Comey, and James Clapper—who handpicked analysts, suppressed dissent within the CIA, and selectively leaked discredited claims from the Clinton campaign to engineer a societal delusion that crippled the Trump presidency. Next, they detail how left-wing judges are defying Supreme Court precedent to block Trump's border enforcement, effectively ordering open borders to restore Democrat-aligned human trafficking networks and set up a “dictatorship” narrative if Trump defies their rulings. Newsbusters' Curtis Houck joins to discuss the mainstream media's ongoing efforts to cover for radical socialist candidates while losing public trust, as Trump's popularity surges past Ronald Reagan's among Republicans. Together, these stories illustrate a constitutional crisis and the media's collapse as Americans increasingly reject manufactured narratives.
