A toxic work environment isn't a new thing, but now more than ever, unhappy employees are not putting up with it. They are leaving jobs even if they do not have a new job lined up. In a recent study by SHRM, 58% of employees quit a toxic workplace job because they value their mental health more than being unemployed. A toxic work environment can look the same, but they have different effects on an employee's wellbeing. Tiffany Atkinson joins the podcast to share her story of experiencing a toxic workplace culture while being on active duty in the Military. She opens up publicly to share her experience and the effects this played in her life post Military. She shares the signs to look for in your current or future company and how to handle it if you are currently seeing it.More about the GuestMeet Tiffany- Click To Learn MoreInstagram - @doyouknowtiffanyCONNECT WITH JILL30 Min Free Clarity Call: Ready to get unstuck?Free Discovery Chat Meet Jill: Wife - Boy Mom - Jesus Follower - Purpose Coach & SpeakerMeet Jill O'BoyleJoin My Newsletter: Inspiration delivered to your inbox every Monday!Newsletter - Click HereRate My Podcast: Your star ratings and reviews mean the world to me! Tiffany Atkinson rehabilitates the concept of embarrassment, seeing its potential to be a positive force in social encounters, in contrast to the negative power of shame. "Sometimes shame may be appropriate, but we do not have to file all errors and pratfalls and misunderstandings under shame. Is this a healthy way to live with others? Would an embarrassment culture not be a useful counterbalance?" Presenter: Olly Mann Producer: Sheila Cook

Today's podcast is infused with the two themes of this year's festival - Myth and Legend and the Director's Cut. In the former we have an excerpt from the Poetry Breakfast which featured Moniza Alvi, Tiffany Atkinson, Stephen Halliwell and Rebecca Seiferle discussing myths in poetry. In the latter we feature two great Scottish poets Tom Pow and John Glenday. We also have the pleasure to include a fragment from the Past Poets event on Ivor Cutler with his publisher and friend Tony Ward. And we got the chance to listen to the marvellous Clydebuilt poets Christie Williamson, Chloe Morrish, Susan Rosser and Gordon McInnes in the Younger Poets showcase as well as speak to one of its founders, Jim Carruth.
