It's time for a duology of Mechagodzilla- er, Kiryu films, soaked in anime influence, 60s throwbacks, and some pretty good kaiju photography. In this back-to-back bout of three monsters, the winner is undeniably the mecha nerds. We hope you're happy. Guest Sophie Desmond is here to share high school tales of Ryan, gush about fairy babes, and become perhaps the most devoted Godzillavangelist acolyte yet. Meanwhile, Sam see-saws on his opinion and Ryan talks trailer downloads in the dialup days. Our next episode wraps up the Millennium series with that controversial blast of testosterone-fueled mayhem, Final Wars. Dust off your giant leather trenchcoat. This week celebrate a belated Godzilla Day with their first double feature! That’s right, after seeing the first US cinematic run, it’s Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and Godzilla Tokyo SOS! Join Amber and Thomas as they take a dive into one of the few direct sequel Godzilla films ever made by Toho. They’ll laugh, they’ll (not) […]
It is rare for Godzilla movies outside of the Heisei era to have direct continuity. Most are considered stand alone adventures with little to no real reference to older movies. However the bad half of the Millennium Era gave us a 1-2 combo that is highly regarded. So with the 2nd Millennium MechaGodzilla movie, did they capture the same energy as the first one? Join us and Nana Pratt from Blerds R Us Podcast to find out!
Instead of another stand alone film, Tokyo SOS is a sequel to the last film. This time involving the Queen of The Monsters, Mothra! What awaits the fate of Kiryu’s soul!

Anthony and Connor take a look at 2003's Godzilla - Tokyo SOS. Anthony picked this movie thinking it was something else but was happy with the end result. Connor really really wants to buy a Honda Element after watching the movie. In a first for the pod (I think), Anthony watched the dub and Connor watched the sub so hear how the various differences came out for the different viewings. Hope you enjoy the show! Happy Holidays!
Nick and Andrew are joined by Evan, Ike, and James to discuss the oft-besmirched Tokyo S.O.S., selected by our random number generator, and dissect it all- the good, the bad, what they'd do differently; why Akane didn't have Azusa's role, Mothra's deaths, and the longest dogfight in cinema history.Introductions - (0:47)Synopsis - (1:30)The Discussion - (2:43)Positives - (55:47)What We Would Do Differently - (1:01:57)Sign Off - (1:08:42)
Godzilla dances with not one, not two, but three Mothras in Tokyo SOS. Does Mechagodzilla really text? Can a dead Godzilla really befriend a mechanic? Plus Jack, or GMAN as he's known on Twitter joins us for our awards. He also has a surprising announcement, that is completely unedited, at the very end of the episode. You can follow GMAN on Twitter @GMANonScified PS Eric and Alex forget to talk about the post-credits scene that they both loved.
Tyler, Chris and Scott chat about the final three Godzilla films in the Millennium era and finish off this god forsaken mini-series. The films include: Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, Tokyo S.O.S. and Final Wars!
Welcome to Dead Times’s salute to Mechagodzilla! We are joined by Harrison again to discuss Godzilla’s giant robot adversary. And spend a lot of time puzzling out why anyone would make a giant robot Godzilla. We also have a fun conversation about potential Avatar sequels and wonder just what is the deal with those fairies?
The Kaijusaurus Podcast boys are tasked with laying Godzilla's tormented spirit to rest as they discuss 2003's Godzilla: Tokyo SOS. Steven and Ross draw comparisons with Masaaki Tezuka's previous Godzilla films, and share pitches for a concluding chapter of the Kiryu saga. But what did they think of the film itself? Listen now to find out!
Someone ring some kind of bell or something, people; we’ve hit episode FIFTY! I think this is only the 2nd time we’ve received so many submissions for our Daikaiju Discussions. The last one was for a long-time fan favorite, Godzilla vs. Megalon, so I was pretty surprised that this mouthful of a movie title was […]

Hey out there all you Godzilla fans! Welcome to the third episode, of the Tokyo S.O.S. podcast. This episode, we cover the direct sequal to "Gorjia", "Godzilla Raids Again". With that being said, we have some good news and some bad news. the good news is that we manage to keep this episode under an hour. We at the Tokyo SOS podcast are really proud of this. The bad news is that the reason we were able to do that is becuase we didn't have much to say about the movie. In fact, what we did have to say was pretty much bashing 70% of the movie. So you have been warned For all those who want to send review to us about the movie we are reviewing, the next one is the 1998 American Godzilla movie as we will be having special guests on. You can send those review along with fan mail to tokyosospodcast@gmail.com. Welcome to this very special episode of the Tokyo SOS podcast. With the recent excitment over the announcement by Legendary Picture and there plans for a 2012 Godzilla movie. Me and my partner Jesse decided to tackle the 800-pound Gorilla-Whale. We talk about the the history of Legendary Picture and why there the best studio to be doing a Godzilla movie and the creator who are already involved. We also talk about who we would like to see direct and star in the movie. Finally, we discuss what we hope to see in the movie. A bit of a warning, we get a little wild with some dark adult humor and sexual innuendo, but nothing we feel is past PG-14. We also kind of did this on the fly after getting so many email about and really didn't prepare at all. This is us ranting on the fly, so some might not see this as are best work. We dod apologize, but we made a descsion togeather to keep this episode as much unedited as possible, minus a few off-topic rants. We did this to keep the episode as authentic as possible for our fans. Remember that you can find the show on Itunes by serching for "Tokyo SOS". you can also email the show at tokyosospodcast@gmail.com. So untill next time godzilla fans. RUN, ITS GODZILLA!!!
