Earlier today, Variety broke the news that distributor Cineverse (Terrifier 3) has signed a deal to distribute writer-director Macon Blair's The Toxic Avenger in theaters and streaming across North America in 2025. Filmed in 2021 in Bulgaria, the reimagining of the classic Troma film was first shown at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas in 2023 but then things went... silent. Word was that the film had trouble securing distribution. Legendary Pictures, who produced the film, remained mostly silent on its potential release until today's announcement. Special RE-Posting with our good friend BILL FAY. In this episode from Dec 17 2023 - We talk Bills new Happy Texas play ... where Jacques spend a few days in NYC couple week back hanging with Bill as he prepped for the Investors showcase with full cast and music - figure this be a fun time to repost this one. Enjoy ... again. Legendary Film Maker and … Co-Founder of Legendary Pictures, Bill Fay zooms in to chat with Joe, Biff and Jacques … who for reasons we still don't understand has been a close friend and mentor to Jacques for 20 years! The first two film companies Bill worked for out of college went bankrupt … and then he learned to fly a plane to be Hollywood's man on the ground in Africa ... along the way working with folks like James Cameron for (politely putting it) eccentric film maker Rodger Corman to producing such block busters The Patriot and Independence Day with Director Roland Emmerich. Along the way ACCIDENTLY doubling his 24-year-old selves lives saving by making a 3-day investment based on getting to see a sneak preview of Back To The Future Bill (and partner Thomas Toll) created Legendary Pictures in 2000 with a plan for a slate of big budget (largely Superhero / Action) films … Along the way just for giggles … also produced the Hangover (well for giggles and 470m at Box office making it largest grossing rated R comedy in history.) Bill also talks his favorite project, a small indy sci fi horror called Replicate … well favorite project Jacques was an associate producer on. Bill did fly to see Jacques she he was living in Qatar in 2026 … and in Qatar gave college lectures and gave road map to finance minister of how too get their country on the film making map. Bill currently is CEO of Steric Systems – a company that has developed a electronic process of smoothing liquor and spirits at distilleries. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a45uEuVH6jI Steric Systems has grown exponentially over last few years … which leaves very little time for the other new company Bill started with his brother … a Salmon spread they've made for friends and family for years … at a few pound batches at a time … now scaling up (pun intended) to 7500 lbs test with a national food chain retailer. Bill and Jacques now have the stage show rights to the 1999 movie Happy Texas and hope to have a 6 weeks test run (maybe in Seattle) next fall. To be clear … BILL has the rights, Jacques just loves the movie and wants to work on the play! Well, this is it. Goodbye- at least for now! It's another properly super-sized episode to send off the series as-is, with some of our favorite clips, guests, and behind-the-scenes stories popping up. It all concludes in a big gooey reminiscence on how life and Godzilla have changed since we started the show, and how we all feel about the big G now. You might call this the lab results to the Godzillavangelists hypothesis! And of course… no upcoming episode. But we'd still love to hear from you anytime, and keep spreading the word of Godzilla! We're concluding our two-parter on Monarch: Legacy of Monsters! It's time to see if this whole 10-hour journey was worth the destination. This one covers episodes 6-10. Joanna's friend Prad is back in place of Sam as we repeatedly forget what we talked about last time and lightly applaud for working actors. Are there enough monsters to keep us happy? Are there enough monsters to keep YOU happy? Does anyone read these descriptions? Next episode is- yes- the first part of our two-part finale. This message features short clips from the critically acclaimed movie Dune: Part Two. This film was released on March 1, 2024 in the United States by production company Legendary Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. No copyright is claimed for Dune: Part Two, and we assert that use of the short clips within this sermon is permissible under fair use principles in U.S. copyright law. Liquid Church is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, specifically, a non-denominational Christian Church, and the purpose of using this media is non commercial in nature. The movie Dune: Part Two resonates deeply with audiences because it explores important themes like religion, power, and the use of violence by those in charge. It shows both the harshness and beauty of life, focusing on Paul Atreides, who is seen as a prophesied Messiah. This idea is similar to the Bible's story of a savior, with many Old Testament prophecies about a coming Messiah, which Christians believe were fulfilled by Jesus Christ. The film draws parallels between Paul's journey in Dune: Part Two and the life of Jesus. It contrasts Paul's eventual quest for power with Jesus' rejection of earthly authority and his ultimate sacrifice. Why is this important today? It highlights that while human leaders and false messiahs may let us down, Jesus, the true Messiah, fulfills all promises and offers real hope and healing. Take time to reflect on your beliefs about Jesus, exploring your faith and the nature of true salvation. Watch this message from Pastor Zach Taylor, and discover how God's power is made perfect in our weakness. #LiquidChurch #AtTheMovies #Messiah

It's the final (and perhaps finest?) Godzilla film to date: Minus One. In this long-awaited episode the Godzillavangelists flit back to postwar Japan to spread the word of one last G-flick. Suggested discussion topics include: feminine power, minesweeping, nerd cards, and how far a person can fall without dying. But mostly just good filmmaking. Next episode should finish up our coverage of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. We hope Kurt Russell says the F-word in this second half. This week we have a look at the 2024 horror film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. This is Episode #432!Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is a 2024 American monster film directed by Adam Wingard, produced by Legendary Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is the sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) and the fifth film in the MonsterVerse franchise, also serving as the 38th film of the Godzilla franchise and 13th in the King Kong franchise. The film stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, and Fala Chen. Hall, Henry, and Hottle reprise their roles from the previous film. In the film, Kong encounters more of his species in the Hollow Earth and must unite again with Godzilla to stop their tyrannical leader and his powerful, frost-breathing Titan from destroying the surface. The film received mixed reviews from critics, with many comparing it unfavorably to Godzilla Minus One, and has grossed $436 million worldwide on a $135−150 million budget, making it the fifth-highest-grossing film of 2024.
Hello, Kaiju Lovers! It's time to unpack the biggest kaiju release of 2024—Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire! For such a momentous occasion, Nate called upon YouTuber Donny Winter (Growing Up with Godzilla) and a “mystery guest”…who didn't make it. Darn. So, he got the next best option: The Omni Viewer and his monster sidekick, Snazzy! They dive deep into the fifth entry of Legendary Pictures' MonsterVerse series, unveiling its connections to classic pulp fiction and ‘80s pop culture—all without comparing it to Godzilla Minus One (for the most part) while also coining many memes. You'll not find a more concentrated dose of positivity (and honesty) toward this escapist movie anywhere else. Since it's set mostly in the Hollow Earth (and Nate almost researched this for Godzilla vs. Kong), the Toku Topic is Hollow Earth theory. It's that time again! Fresh off a new Monsterverse release, the Godzillavangelists are ready to discuss, debate, and distract one another. This time, it's the controversial Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and the title's not even the worst thing about it. And yet... there's a lot to love in this glorious monster-packed mess, including a starring role for the beloved big monkey. Kaiju vets, sloppily inserted subplots, and nasty little monkey bastards are just part of the parade of wonders, and we've got front row seats. Next episode is a fun diversion: Godzilla fan fiction! Prepare for secondhand embarrassment! For real this time! Byrd is joined by Lux, Tom (of the Final Forum Dragonball Podcast), and Trev (of the Failure to Franchise Podcast) to talk about the new film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire! This new entry in Legendary Pictures' Monsterverse is another crossover between the two monster icons, as they go up against the threat of the evil ape Skar King and his army of apes and the frost monster Shimo. Along the way, Kong forms a bond with the young ape Suko. We'll talk about the production history as well as give our thoughts on the film. But first, we discuss Godzilla Minus One's recent Oscar win! Kick back and enjoy!

Who's ready for some giant monster fights? Come on down to VGU's premiere retrospective podcast starring Graydon Webb and DJ Risio, as they navigate through Legendary's MonsterVerse films and piece together this Monarch mystery! Each week, they will re-watch and discuss another film (or two), leading up to the release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire on March 28, 2024! Week three brings the fight to Hong Kong, and boy howdy, it sure is a big one! The MonsterVerse collides in all its anticipated glory as our favorite giant lizard finally takes on our favorite monkey guardian (yes I know he's not a monkey). Godzilla vs. Kong took the world by storm during the pandemic, and it's even better the second time around! Editor's Note: For some reason, Graydon's audio does give him a bit of a lisp at times. Week two brings us to the 2019 epic, Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Arguably the best film in the MonsterVerse so far, we had so many notes it filled a whole episode! Join us as we discuss the goddess that is Mothra, the nightmare that is Boston, and the beauty of the Kingsman franchise, in all its predictable glory. "LET THEM FIGHT."In 2010 -- 12 years after America's last failed adaptation and 6 years after Japan's final entry -- Legendary Pictures (and by extension Warner Bros.) proudly announced that they had acquired the rights to make a new Hollywood adaptation of the King of the Monsters, releasing a faithful piece of concept art in tandem. However, what started out and was advertised as a film seemingly in the same vein as the original 1954 masterpiece turned into a clashing of tones and eras that would become the first chapter in a new cinematic universe, and the general opinion of the final product is as varied as you'd expect. So, 10 years later, how does it hold up? Come watch with Brian and Alec to find out as they continue the Godzillathon by revisiting the first entry in the MonsterVerse -- Godzilla (2014)!

Dorian Price, Mac Kettner and Mark Radulich present our Green Lantern 2011 Movie Review!Green Lantern is a 2011 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett, and Tim Robbins, with Martin Campbell directing a script by Greg Berlanti and comic book writers Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim, which was subsequently rewritten by Michael Goldenberg. This was the first DC film since Catwoman (2004) not to be involved with Legendary Pictures. The film tells the story of Hal Jordan, a test pilot who is selected to become the first human member of an intergalactic police force called the Green Lantern Corps; he is given a ring that grants him superpowers, and must confront Parallax, a being who threatens to upset the balance of power in the universe, while a new threat rises back on Earth.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsoFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76

Thrilled to share my chat with the inspiring and nimble Noelle Green, Director of Physical Production at Netflix on the Original Series. Prior to Netflix, Noelle was a VP in Physical Production at Legendary Pictures and oversaw such projects as Kong: Skull Island and Krampus. The majority of her career was spent freelancing as a production supervisor or coordinator. She eventually began working as a line producer in the 90s where she was often the only woman of color sets of 500 or more people. This experience planted a seed that eventually led her to be one of the founders of the Producers Inclusion Initiative, a joint effort between Netflix and Shondaland to help bring up more underrepresented people in the line producer path. It's truly important work that I cherish as she's helped create opportunities for many. In this episode, Noelle takes us through digging into her grit to go from struggling single mother to a Netflix exec, speaks on the importance of inclusion in the workplace and shares her wisdom on how she dealt with the frustratingly impermeable boys' club. Key Takeaways: Be nimble and flexible, but never compromise yourself. Lean into frustration Know what you bring to the table and then bring it to the table.
