1911 Gold Corporation CEO Shaun Heinrichs joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss significant operational progress at the company's True North Gold Project in Manitoba, where a series of key infrastructure upgrades and development milestones are positioning the project for test mining later this year and a potential production decision in 2027. Heinrichs said the company has successfully completed dewatering activities in the A-Shaft and on Level 26, marking an important step in restoring underground access and preparing the mine for future operations. Rehabilitation work on the loading pocket, a critical component of the ore handling system, is also nearing completion. A major milestone has been the successful commissioning of the Level 16-to-26 ore pass chute, which is now operational and capable of supporting the movement of material generated from underground development and future test-mining activities. To further accelerate progress, 1911 Gold has awarded its underground development contract to SCR Mining & Tunnelling, with crews and specialized mining equipment already mobilized to site to support mining, mechanical and electrical work. On the processing side, Heinrichs reported that the primary ball mill and a new freshwater system have been commissioned and are now operational. Refurbishment of the freshwater pumphouse is also nearing completion. In addition, the company's newly established on-site assay laboratory is fully operational, with initial furnace fusion testing completed and the facility now ready to process grade control, geology and exploration samples. The company has also made substantial progress on mill refurbishment activities. Upgrades are underway to the flotation circuit, regrind mill and leach tanks, while preparations continue for the installation of a new crusher circuit. The legacy jaw crusher and apron feeder structures have been removed and the concrete foundation for the new crusher building has been completed. Major crushing equipment supplied by Westpro remains on schedule for delivery in early Q4. Underground, Level 26 is now accessible through D-Shaft and into the ramps serving the 710-711 Zone. Repairs to the rock breaker and grizzly system are underway ahead of new equipment installations expected later this month. The loading pocket rehabilitation continues with the installation of structural steel, new pulleys and bearings, electrical cabling and control systems. Additional accomplishments include successful operation of the Level 16-to-26 ore pass, replacement of hoist ropes in both shaft compartments and installation of a refurbished skip, all of which support the planned restart of shaft skipping operations this fall. The company expects to move into commissioning of the crushing circuit around mid-to-late November, followed by plans to put its first test ore through the mill in December. Arizona Eagle Mining Corp CEO Kevin Reid joined Steve Darling from Proactive to provide an update on the company's McCabe high-grade gold and silver project in Arizona, highlighting what he believes could be a transformational opportunity built around an extensive historic mining operation with significant existing infrastructure. Reid explained that the McCabe Mine was previously operated until the early 1990s, when mining giant BHP shut down operations during a period when gold prices were hovering around US$300 per ounce. The property subsequently remained in private hands for nearly four decades before Arizona Eagle acquired the asset and began assembling a much larger district-scale land package around it. Today, the company controls nearly 5,000 acres in the region, including more than 400 acres of patented private land that hosts 11 historic producing gold and silver mines, along with over 4,000 acres of surrounding Bureau of Land Management claims. Reid believes this consolidated land position provides substantial exploration and development potential beyond the original McCabe Mine footprint. One of the most significant discoveries made since acquiring the project came during a recent underground assessment. Using a submersible camera system, Arizona Eagle determined that the mine's concrete-lined production shaft extends significantly deeper than previously documented. Historical records indicated a depth of approximately 1,450 feet, but the company confirmed the shaft actually reaches roughly 1,650 feet. According to Reid, this finding further enhances the value of the project's existing infrastructure, which includes a 15-foot-wide production shaft, approximately five kilometres of underground workings and a ventilation raise located roughly 1,000 feet from the main shaft. He estimates the replacement cost of this infrastructure alone could exceed US$50 million in today's market. Following its public listing, Arizona Eagle completed a seven-hole Phase 1 surface drilling program that generated encouraging results and led to what Reid described as several new discoveries. However, he noted that the extensive underground workings present challenges for surface drilling, including the potential to lose drill holes into historic mine voids. As a result, the company's strategic focus has shifted toward evaluating the feasibility of regaining underground access. Reid believes that drilling from underground stations could dramatically improve efficiency, reducing drilling costs to approximately one-tenth of comparable surface programs while allowing the company to complete 50 to 70 drill holes during a single campaign instead of the seven holes completed in the initial surface program. The project also benefits from what Reid describes as a highly favourable permitting environment. The core assets are situated on patented private land adjacent to a paved highway, eliminating many of the surface-disturbance challenges often associated with exploration projects on federal lands. The property has access to water, faces no known species or Indigenous land-use constraints on its primary development areas, and is located just 45 minutes from Prescott, Arizona, providing access to skilled labour and infrastructure. 1 (Thief in the Night 1972)- Old school Christian Apocalypse film. Just like the late 90's poop like Left Behind, Megiddo, and that one with Gary Busey, but with longer hair and sideburns. Patty has nothing but people talking to her about specifically saying that she accepts JC into her heart, she's like”huh” and gets left behind then post rapture she runs……..a lot!
2 (Juggernaut 1974)e My two pod buddy's and the rest of the world were beating off about towering inferno, and Poseidon adventure, but they are not my bag, I will say I liked this one better than those and so far I think it's disaster film #1 next to the one with Shaft as a daredevil, the one with Sparks in it, and the 1 were Helen Hayes rules the disaster film wasteland. Omar Sharif and Richard Harris are BOTH in here, wow, can we take all that Shakespearan pomp! Ok Now add a little Ian Holm, and Sir Anthony Hopkins. Directed by Richard Lester of Hard days night and the Ritz fame.
3 (Who?) Let's not get me started on this one. Let's just say that for this sci fi nerd that WHO? Looks way cooler than it is. I also feel Elliot Gould is half asleep through the entirety of this poop. It does exist and I'm intrigued that it exists and got released so of course I own the blu-ray, with commentary!
4 (The Sailor who fell from Grace with the Sea 1976)
V did the amazing write up on this one so I forget the origin but will guess that it is based on a Russian parable about supply and demand, he he not at all. This is about weird one about weird people and one truly nasty fascist sociopath. Director Lewis John Carlino wrote and directed some really rad stuff,,,,,,,,,,Not this! Let's see what you think after you watch it.
5 (Madame Rosa 1977) Omg this is what it's all about folks. Finding something like this. Recommend this story of Holocaust survivor who is a Madame, I guess it's a see for yourself kinda thing, also I feel it yielded a good discussion. This won best Foreign film for 1977, so yes there will be subtitles if ya don't know French.
Final film today is 6 (Headin for Broadway 1979) Director here is Joseph Brooks and we reviewed his directing before in You Light up my Life (that movie where they over play the song You Light up my Life) but mostly he is listed a musical advisor and conductor on many movies, and that just makes sense. This is light and fun and should go on your shelf right next to Fame and A Chorus Line.

John Hudson and I take on a classic Blaxploitation film!   TRUCK TURNER (1974) stars the great Isaac Hayes as the titular character, a modern-day bounty hunter in Los Angeles. Along with his partner he tracks down people for bail bondsmen which is a far more dangerous job than you might expect. Sadly, this is the only lead role Hayes was ever afforded and it was offered to him so the producers could also get him to provide the film's score. Luckily for fans, he handles both creative opportunities well. In fact, I find the music he supplies for this film to be superior to his Oscar winning SHAFT score. Check it out and let us know what you think. There has been an ongoing conversation about the best Blaxploitation films for decades but nearly every fan will put this film in their top five. It plays like a western set in the 1970's with bad guys getting their comeuppance in suitable, violent ways. The story is fast paced and exciting with plenty of colorful characters peppering the trail Truck follows while dealing with scumbags. The film was originally written for a very different cast in mind but, once the change was made, the collaborative spirit of the production made for a satisfying film. Besides Hayes as Mack ‘Truck' Turner the cast is stacked with excellent character actors such as Scatman Crothers, Charles Cyphers, Dick Miller, Sam Lewis and a brilliant villain role for the great Yaphet Kotto. Plus, if you ever wondered what it would be like to see Lt. Uhura from Star Trek whip a stable of prostitutes into line, this is your chance. Whew! Released in 1991, the film drew from Singleton's own upbringing in South Central Los Angeles to deliver an unflinching portrait of Black life there, launched the careers of Ice Cube, Morris Chestnut, and Nia Long, and established Singleton as one of the most important voices in American cinema. Over the next three decades he directed Poetic Justice, Higher Learning, Shaft, and Four Brothers, and served as a producer on Hustle & Flow and the FX series Snowfall, which was still in production when he died of a stroke in 2019 at age fifty-one.The Life of Singleton: From Boyz N the Hood to Snowfall by journalist Thomas Golianopoulos draws on nearly 400 original interviews to document Singleton's full arc — his years as a driven film student at USC, his rapid ascent in Hollywood, his complicated personal life, and his final years.
