On this week's Future Brew podcast, Von and Stephen discuss the latest defensive tackle offer in the 2022 class — three-star Mason Graham. The West Coast defender is planning an official visit to Ann Arbor sometime this fall, even though he is committed to Boise State. Will the Wolverines be able to flip his recruitment? And how concerning is it that the Wolverines continue to offer project-type prospects at the defensive tackle position? After that, the boys talk about new visitors reportedly added to the list for the Washington game on Sept. 11 — five-star cornerback Domani Jackson and in-state four-star defensive back Dillon Tatum. With Jackson locked in to USC and crystal balls rolling in for Michigan State for Tatum, who does Michigan have the best shot of landing at this point? Lastly, the discussion turns to the 2023 class. Five-star in-state quarterback Dante Moore had an incredible start to his junior campaign, throwing for more than 400 yards and tossing four touchdown passes for Martin Luther King High School in Detroit. He is among the top targets at any position for the Wolverines in this class, and this performance showed why he is so important. The Wolverines have been recruiting him for three years now, so it's vital their efforts eventually pay off. *Note: The audio issues on this episode are known and were worked on to make it as listenable as possible. GrassTalkRadio.com - Episode 193 They Said It Couldn't Be Done Bill Monroe only made one minor mistake in the creation of Blue Grass music. That is the trying, and later elimination, of the accordion in his ensemble. Well, if you listen all the way to end of this podcast, you will hear some of the greatest music ever put on wax. Had Bill met Dominic Frontiere there is a good chance we would all have accordions in our bluegrass groups today! I challenge the whippersnapper upstart Chris Thile to play THAT! Aside from that monstrous revelation, I also talk about whether one should joke with government employees, growing mushroooms, divine intervention, "breakthrough" miracles, patience, the sub-conscious mind, and all those other good things which turn average "pickers" into self-surprising musicians. If you want proof of my three bullseyes go to the show notes for this episode right here. With Jackson as my witness, miracles do happen! No! It is such a privilege to introduce you to my special friend, Leanne Ballinger. Eric and I met Mike and Leanne in 2014 when we attended David and Nancy Guthrie’s grief retreat in Nashville together. My friendship with Leanne began with a long hug and tears, and God immediately began knitting our hearts together in powerful ways. Mike and Leanne's second son, Andrew, was born with complications and he was given a 25% chance of survival. After enduring 7 and 1/2 months of traumatic ups and downs, sweet Drew went to be with the Lord in July of 2013. With Jackson dying in June of that same year, our grief journey has been on a very similar timeframe. Our stories are different and our sons died at different ages and through different circumstances, but God has given us such likemindedness in one another. It has been such a help to have a kindred spirit like Leanne to walk through grief with. In the midst of such heartbreaking circumstances, we have seen our friendship as a kindness of the Lord. I think you will be touched by this tender conversation between two grieving moms who have become friends and confidants through great loss and great hope. https://uploads.fireside.fm/images/5/5cf71699-e9ec-4dd2-8499-7d99717f8523/7q14KzMj.jpg

Vikings lose a very boring 12-10 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. With Jackson out, Frerrotte played pretty well, but as a whole, the game was pretty dull. Latroy Guion's strong play continues, along with a very good showing by Aundrae Allison. Continued player evaluation, poll results and this weeks new poll announcement!
