Two queer wrestling fans discuss Pro Wrestling NOAH matches, old and new, two by two. Join AJ (they/them) and Envi (they/them) as they have fun learning about NOAH's history and keeping up with the new goings on. Each episode we'll watch a classic match and something more recent, draw any lines we can see between the two, wildly speculate, try to not get too overtly thirsty for the wrestlers, fail, and shout at our screens and wince whenever they land on their heads and necks.
So it's been a while, but we're back! In this episode we talk about everything we've been watching recently, mostly Pro Wrestling NOAH and AEW, we talk about both in depth and go over the stuff from 2021 that managed to leave a lasting impression in our ADHD riddled minds. Follow the show at @workingstiffFM Follow AJ @MoreGuillotines Find us on Patreon at patreon.com/workingstiff and get access to all of our bonus episodes and the nice little discord server we got! This episode is all about the N-1 Victory, baby! We watch Kawada vs Marufuji (13th April 2010) and Kiyomiya vs Mochizuki (18th September 2020), talk a bit about everyone's history as well as our general thoughts and feelings about the tournament, gush over junior drama, and relegate conversation about another company into it's own brand new perfectly delineated segment. It's seamless and flawless, a perfect podcast episode. Thanks for bearing with us with the late episode! Niklas got sick and then AJ got lazy but we got it done! Next episode should feature an exciting guest as we talk even more about the junior division, so get hype for that! twitter: @2x2cast email: 2x2cast@gmail.com
This episode we talk about Katsuhiko Nakajima and how he broke our hearts. We watch KENTA (c) vs Nakajima (5th October 2013) at for the GHC Heavyweight Championship, and AXIZ vs Sugiura-Gun (30th August 2020) for the GHC Heavyweight Tag Championships. Correction: AJ says the KENTA match was Nakajima's first big singles title match in NOAH, but they were thinking of a previous match between the two for the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship in 2009. Timestamps for discussion of Hiromitsu Gompei's Death: 0:08:45-0:14:05, and 0:18:30-0:20:30
