In the third largest PNP-specific Express Entry draw of the year, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 888 candidates to apply for permanent residence. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the candidates who received invitations in the draw held on October 27 was 744. Considering the fact that all the provincial nominees receive 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points, the CRS requirement is not at all high. For example, if the basic CRS score of a candidate is 144, the provincial nomination would have made them eligible to receive an invitation in the latest draw.
In the Manitoba draw held on October 21, a total of 459 candidates received invitations to apply for provincial nomination. Among the invited, 388 were Skilled Workers in Manitoba candidates with a minimum score of 375. 39 Skilled Workers Overseas candidates with a minimum score of 716 also received invitations. The remaining 37 invitations were issued to International Education Stream candidates. The total number of Express Entry candidates who received invitations in the draw was 94.
In the third consecutive Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)-specific Express Entry draw held on October 13, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) invited 681 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required for the candidates was 720. As the PNP nominees would have received 600 additional CRS score points, the basic CRS score of the invited candidates with the lowest points would be 120. That means the CRS score requirement is not at all high, though it may appear so.
In the Ontario Express Entry French-speaking Skilled Worker(FSSW) stream draw held on October 7, a total of 162 candidates received invitations to apply for provincial nomination. The Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score of the invited candidates ranged between 461 and 467.

In the latest round of Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) invitations held on September 8, a total of 528 immigration candidates received invitations to apply for provincial nomination. Among the invited, 316 belong to Express Entry subcategory and 212 belong to the Occupations In-Demand sub-category. The candidates were required to have a minimum Expression of Interest score of 66 points to receive the invitation. Each category had 16 eligible occupations.

Job vacancies in healthcare and accommodation and food services sectors are high in Canada, showed the latest job vacancies report published by Statistics Canada. The report says that Canada's accommodation and food services sector had the highest rate of employers looking for workers in the month of May. Similarly, health sector had the highest number of open positions during the month.

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program(OINP)draw held on July 27 invited 1031 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The candidates were invited through the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities(HCP) Stream under the OINP. All the invited candidates have work experience in one of the 18 targeted occupations, which include healthcare workers and managers.
Even as Canada is all set to reopen its borders, a Provincial Nominee Program(PNP)-specific draw was held on July 21, inviting 462 candidates to apply for permanent residence. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required to receive an invitation in the draw was 734 points. This CRS requirement is significantly low compared to the previous PNP-specific draw held on July 7, in which the CRS cut-off score was 760.
The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will accept a record number of applications for the 2021 Parents and Grandparents Program(PGP), announced Marco Mendicino, the Immigration Minister of Canada, the other day. The IRCC will invite up to 30000 potential sponsors who have already submitted an interest to sponsor form in 2020. The invitations will be issued over the course of two weeks starting from September 20, 2021.

All the invited candidates belong to the International Skilled Worker category of Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program(SINP). While 99 of the invited candidates received their invitations through the Express Entry subcategory, the remaining 196 candidates were invited through the Occupations In Demand sub-category under the International Skilled Worker category.
In the Express Entry draw held on July 8, Canada invited a total of 4500 Canadian Experience Class(CEC) candidates to apply for permanent residence. The candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score of 369. This is the smallest CEC Express Entry draw since May 20.

Canada set a new record in the number of Invitations to Apply(ITAs) issued through Express Entry in the second quarter of the year 2021. The total number immigration candidates who received ITAs during this period was 44591 and this is the highest number of invitations issued in any quarter. The previous record was set in the first quarter of the year 2020, when 44124 candidates received Express Entry invitations.
In the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) draw held on June 28, the province invited a record-breaking number of 1017 candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The invited candidates were required to have a valid Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code. The candidates were invited through the Skilled Workers Overseas stream of MPNP. The minimum Expression of Interest(EOI) score of the candidates who received invitations in the latest draw is 565. The EOI score is different from the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of the Express Entry. The draw did not have any minimum CRS score requirement. However, all the candidates who would receive a provincial nomination will have additional 600 CRS score points added to their total score. This would guarantee them an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence in Canada in a subsequent Express Entry draw.
In-demand workers may now apply for provincial nomination from Ontario through the new Expression of Interest (EOI) system. The EOI system of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is now open for candidates under the In-demand Skills Stream of Employer Job Offer category. The Foreign Worker Stream and the International Student Stream under the Employer Job Offer category had already been there in the EOI system of the OINP. These are the first two streams that were brought under the OINP EOI system. Ontario PNP launched the Expression of Interest system for the first time in March 2021. Now the remaining In-demand Skills Stream of the Employer Job Offer category has also been added to the EOI system. However, the province is yet to introduce an EOI system for Masters Graduate and PhD Graduate streams. According to the information provided on the OINP webpage, these programs will also be brought under the Expression of Interest system soon. It is expected that the EOI system would make the intake process through these streams fairer and smoother.
The Canadian province of Prince Edward Island held a Provincial Nominee Program draw on June 17 and invited 113 immigration candidates to apply for provincial nomination. Among the invited, 101 were Express Entry and Labour Impact category candidates. The remaining 12 invitations were issued to Business Impact candidates. The minimum required PNP score required for Business Impact candidates was 60.

All the invited candidates are those who have earlier been nominated by Canadian provinces for permanent residence and received an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score points. Because of this reason, the cut-off score for the draw was comparatively high at 742.
In the latest Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program draw held on June 22, the province invited 184 Express Entry stream candidates with an minimum Comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) score of 300. In the previous Alberta Express Entry stream draw held on June 5 too, the CRS cut-off score was 300. So far this year, Alberta has issued a total of 2284 invitations to Express Entry candidates.
