After being told so many times that I could not accomplish certain things because of my height, age, gender and just because statistics said the odds were against me due to my environment and upbringing; I felt a huge responsibility to prove to myself otherwise. We all have rough moments in our life but we cannot allow that to consume us and defy us. Welcome to Defying the Odds!!!

This is an introduction to my podcast. You will get to hear a brief bio which includes where I was born and some history of how and why we immigrated to the United States. I experienced domestic violence as a kid and even lived in a van for 6 months with my 3 siblings and mother. Our childhood was not easy but I am aware other people have had it worse. To the one or two people who can relate to my story, I hope it can make you realize that you are not alone and we can learn from the challenges of our life.
