It's an odd thing to say this but Congrats for Punishing Yourself Punishing yourself is an opportunity to be the parent to yourself. And you're actually thinking that it's a good thing to punish yourself. It is not a good thing to punish yourself. It's a good thing to reward yourself for things. And just because you got punished as a kid for something doesn't mean that you get punished. And you should punish yourself as an adult. Give yourself some grace. Today's word is grace. That grace of opportunity, that grace of the event, that grace of the mistake, that grace of the moment, that grace of breathing, that grace of self-forgiveness, that grace of the opportunity to reset and reframe this entire thing for the rest of your life. This is why you're here. Congratulations, you made it here. And now you get to recalibrate who you are, how you are, how you behave, how you talk to yourself. If you talk to yourself in a negative way, that's a self-punishment. That is going to self perpetuate and continue to cycle and spiral into much more negativity in your physical body, negativity in your physical body because you're punishing yourself. It is a self-harm thing negativity in your environment because you are attracting that, bringing that to you, negativity in your communications. People are gonna feel it and they're gonna get defensive in, in all places in your life. And so if you have any comments on this, make sure you comment and share and like, and, and you know, subscribe. And really that form of grace is, is more soft and it's non berating. You get to have that grace of making a mistake and getting to the other side of it because you made a mistake. You're going to get to the other side of it. The punishment is just trying to keep you in the problem. And as I always say, most people meditate on the problem. Punishment and a self-punishment is meditating on the problem. And so my encouragement is meditate on the solution, on the grace. If you were to sit and meditate for one or two minutes on grace, you would be so amazed at how much different you feel. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.Why is this such a popular scripture? I believe it's popular because it represents victory in whatever turmoil, task, or terror that the enemy tries to attack you with. No weapon means “no weapon,” but it does not mean a weapon won't be formed; it means the weapon will not prevail against you.No weapon formed against you will meet its intended end. So, if someone is trying to destroy you, physically, mentally, financially—they are not going to succeed because God will step aside and let the enemy turn on them, and they in turn will start fighting against each other. I have experienced this firsthand. God stepped aside and allowed the enemy to attack my enemies, and then those same enemies started turning on each other.Let's look at the second half of Isaiah 54:17. People often overlook the second half of this verse, and every tongue that shall rise against YOU in judgment YOU shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.This tells us that the words people speak are weapons but again, their word weapons will not prevail against you. But what does this scripture tell us to do when words are spoken against us in judgment? It is our right—our heritage because Jesus gave us that right through His victory on the Cross—our responsibility to speak against those things and speak good things into our lives. This is why we need to know the Word of God. This is why we need scriptures in our arsenal so we can wage spiritual warfare against Satan and his demonic forces. Eliphaz no longer sounds merely mistaken. He now sounds personally offended, sarcastic, and harsh as he accuses Job of bringing suffering on himself. This session explores one of the great questions of life and Scripture: why do the wicked prosper while the righteous suffer? It also exposes the theological error in Eliphaz's reasoning. He treats God's justice as if it were a mechanical formula, assuming that all suffering must prove wickedness and all prosperity must prove righteousness. The study shows why that view leaves no room for God's mercy, patience, or larger purposes in suffering. This session also addresses Word of Faith theology, the idea that a person's spoken words create prosperity or suffering. The book of Job stands against that teaching because Job's suffering is not caused by his confession or speech, but by the larger heavenly scene God allows for His own purposes.
