Bishop Welly Odendo explores the role of angels in the life of a believer, emphasizing that they are not mere figures of legend but active, ministering spirits assigned to those who inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14).Key teachings from the session include:Ministering Spirits: Angels have two primary roles: ministering to you (providing care, wisdom, and internal support) and ministering for you (arranging matters, aligning events, and going ahead of you to remove obstacles).Activating Angels: Bishop Odendo explains that angels are legislative beings who operate according to the authority of God's Word. The primary limitation to angelic assistance is often the believer's own speech; murmuring, complaining, and slandering act as a barrier that "chokes" the angelic, preventing them from fulfilling their assignments. The Stone and the Strategy: Using the story of the women at Jesus' tomb, he illustrates that many Christians struggle because they try to move "large stones"—representing financial, ministry, or life obstacles—with their own limited strength. He encourages believers to "start walking" toward their purpose, trusting that the angels have already been commissioned to roll away the stone.Order and Authority: Angels are organized and disciplined. They do not respond to emotional outbursts or inconsistent, ungodly speech; they respond to the voice of God's Word. Therefore, maintaining honor, order, and a spirit of praise is essential to aligning with their activity.
Angels are not meant to be worshipped but are active, ministerial agents assigned by God to bring about a harvest in the lives of believers. These spiritual beings operate under specific laws and systems that believers must understand and align with to experience explosive growth.Key takeaways from the teaching include:Angels as Reapers: Referring to the parable of the wheat and the tares (Matthew 13), the Bishop explains that angels are the "reapers" sent to gather the harvest of your life. Trying to fight spiritual battles yourself instead of relying on angelic assistance can lead to unnecessary frustration. The Law of Brotherly Love: A primary environment where angels operate is one of unity and brotherly love. The Bishop stresses that gossip, slander, and division hinder the effectiveness of angels, as they function within a system of unity. The Importance of Swiftness: Hesitation is described as a major source of paralysis. Angels are swift, and the Bishop encourages believers to act decisively when led by God, noting that hesitation often stems from fear, which conflicts with the angelic order. The Danger of Murmuring: Drawing from Exodus 23:20-21 and 1 Corinthians 10, the teaching highlights that murmuring and complaining are signs of unbelief that can provoke angels and hinder them from leading believers to their prepared destination.
This episode focuses on activating the "mystery of supply" through faith, correct confession, and the recognition of angelic assistance.Key Teachings:Angelic Consciousness: The Bishop teaches that while many in Africa are taught to focus primarily on "binding demons," believers should also become conscious of the role of angels. Just as demons can cause loss, angels are agents designed to facilitate profit, success, and divine supply. The Power of Words: A central theme is that angels serve the Word of the Lord. Negative self-talk and complaining act as barriers to angelic assistance. Instead, believers are encouraged to speak God's promises, which serve as "food" for angels to execute their tasks.Lessons from Genesis 24: Using the story of Abraham's servant seeking a wife for Isaac, the Bishop highlights how the servant's faith and inner dialogue at the well allowed an angel to orchestrate the encounter with Rebecca.Provision in the Wilderness: Citing Psalm 78, the message emphasizes how God provided for the Israelites in the wilderness through "the bread of angels." The teaching stresses that one does not need to rely on worldly scarcity but can access divine supply in the midst of any challenge.
Many believers are not aware that the ministry of angels is a key component of their supply. Drawing from Genesis 24, Bishop Welly illustrates how Abraham sent his servant to find a wife for Isaac, instructing him that God would "send His angel before you." Core Takeaways:Breaking Unwillingness: Angels can influence the hearts of people to make them "willing" to help or partner with you, even when they were not previously inclined to do so.Success Beyond Effort: Just as the servant did not need to force people to water the camels, angelic intervention creates environments where provision arrives "out of nowhere."Activation: The Bishop encourages believers to actively "release" and "activate" angels on assignment over their businesses, ministries, and personal lives to secure success and break resistance in the marketplace.
WHY GOD ALLOWS EVIL PEOPLE TO PROSPER. When we suffer, we may be tempted to wonder why people who do not know God seem to prosper. But we know that God has a plan and that our suffering in this world has a purpose. Rather than look longingly at the prosperous in this world, we should heed the words of St. Bridget of Sweden, "Let go of what will pass, and gather that which is eternal." In this episode, Chris and Mark speak with Robert (Bob) Eccles, godfather of the sustainability disclosure movement, Oxford professor, and so much more. The interview builds off an exploration of Bob's most recent book, An American's Guide to Climate Change: How America Can Lead and Prosper. Bob wrote the book for the vast majority of Americans on the left and right who recognize climate change impacts and want something done—the book outlines what and how. From that base, the conversation extends to explore how climate change is a growing part of right-wing politics, especially for younger voters, and the different kinds of solutions they favor. Bob also opines on the state of corporate sustainability disclosure and its likely path forward, then closes with some unique advice for listeners.

In this episode, Darin Spindler and Ben Glass discuss how entrepreneurs can build a prosperous business without letting the business consume the life it is supposed to support. The conversation focuses on a practical and often overlooked question for business owners: how do you grow a company while still protecting family time, personal energy, and control of your schedule? Listeners will hear why prosperity is not measured by revenue alone. A strong business should produce profit, independence, and the ability to make deliberate choices about time. This episode gives entrepreneurs a useful framework for thinking about growth, boundaries, systems, client selection, and the kind of business design that lets an owner succeed without being trapped by constant urgency. It's an odd thing to say this but Congrats for Punishing Yourself Punishing yourself is an opportunity to be the parent to yourself. And you're actually thinking that it's a good thing to punish yourself. It is not a good thing to punish yourself. It's a good thing to reward yourself for things. And just because you got punished as a kid for something doesn't mean that you get punished. And you should punish yourself as an adult. Give yourself some grace. Today's word is grace. That grace of opportunity, that grace of the event, that grace of the mistake, that grace of the moment, that grace of breathing, that grace of self-forgiveness, that grace of the opportunity to reset and reframe this entire thing for the rest of your life. This is why you're here. Congratulations, you made it here. And now you get to recalibrate who you are, how you are, how you behave, how you talk to yourself. If you talk to yourself in a negative way, that's a self-punishment. That is going to self perpetuate and continue to cycle and spiral into much more negativity in your physical body, negativity in your physical body because you're punishing yourself. It is a self-harm thing negativity in your environment because you are attracting that, bringing that to you, negativity in your communications. People are gonna feel it and they're gonna get defensive in, in all places in your life. And so if you have any comments on this, make sure you comment and share and like, and, and you know, subscribe. And really that form of grace is, is more soft and it's non berating. You get to have that grace of making a mistake and getting to the other side of it because you made a mistake. You're going to get to the other side of it. The punishment is just trying to keep you in the problem. And as I always say, most people meditate on the problem. Punishment and a self-punishment is meditating on the problem. And so my encouragement is meditate on the solution, on the grace. If you were to sit and meditate for one or two minutes on grace, you would be so amazed at how much different you feel. Kelly Kopp was 13 when God told him he would preach to millions. He spent the next two decades running. Punk bands, insult comedy that destroyed people for laughs, a tour management gig with Nickelback-level rock stars, then a near-fatal crash on a Nashville highway at 70 miles per hour. None of it broke him until one furious prayer in a truck on the way to pitch a TV show finally did. Kelly breaks down the difference between a beggar mindset and a believer mindset, why provision lives inside your calling rather than outside it, and the moment when God Himself walked into his Airbnb for two hours. Send us Fan MailHello and welcome to CGM Presents: In the Word. My name is Dr. Stephanie Wright. On behalf of Charles George Missions, welcome to Season 14, “Spiritual Warfare.” This is episode 8, and we are starting a new series, “Spiritual Warfare Scriptures.” The resource for this series is the book “Spiritual Warfare Manual: ABC to PhD,” written by yours truly. We will focus on one scripture each time we meet, and these will be vignettes or very short presentations. Use these scriptures to build up your arsenal for spiritual warfare by memorizing, meditating and implementing them into your daily walk with the Lord.Today's scripture is from Isaiah 54:17, No weapon that is formed against YOU shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against YOU in judgment YOU shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. Why is this such a popular scripture? I believe it's popular because it represents victory in whatever turmoil, task, or terror that the enemy tries to attack you with. No weapon means “no weapon,” but it does not mean a weapon won't be formed; it means the weapon will not prevail against you.No weapon formed against you will meet its intended end. So, if someone is trying to destroy you, physically, mentally, financially—they are not going to succeed because God will step aside and let the enemy turn on them, and they in turn will start fighting against each other. I have experienced this firsthand. God stepped aside and allowed the enemy to attack my enemies, and then those same enemies started turning on each other.Let's look at the second half of Isaiah 54:17. People often overlook the second half of this verse, and every tongue that shall rise against YOU in judgment YOU shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. This tells us that the words people speak are weapons but again, their word weapons will not prevail against you. But what does this scripture tell us to do when words are spoken against us in judgment? It is our right—our heritage because Jesus gave us that right through His victory on the Cross—our responsibility to speak against those things and speak good things into our lives. This is why we need to know the Word of God. This is why we need scriptures in our arsenal so we can wage spiritual warfare against Satan and his demonic forces. This is why in this series, we are studying scriptures on spiritual warfare to prepare you formed against you shall prosper.”Thank you for joining us today. We look forward to sharing another scripture on spiritual warfare next time. Now, let's turn to Dr. Charles, who will tell you how you may reach us and comment on this podcast.
