Bring on screenwriter and director Philip David Lee on this awesome episode of the Fan Film Podcast. Anyone who does write or thinks of diving into writing should take a listen to Philips stories and advice. This podcast host and self-proclaimed wordsmith certainly will take Philips tutelage to heart moving forward.
Star Wars: Threads of Destiny creator and director Rasmus Tirzitis joins us this time out on the Fan Film Podcast calling in from his home town of Trångsund, Stockholm.
Today's Podcast we talk with filmmaker Brian Karl Rosenthal who wrote and directed two Evil Dead meets comic book based fan films in the form of Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness and Ash vs. Lobo and the DC Dead. Both are some classic short productions that will definitely go down as two great fan films to be enjoyed by fanboys and fangirls for years to come.
Bringing back the Fan Film Podcast after 7 years with new co-host Jeff Clark. Today's episode is a free for all discussing Fan Films and everything in geekdom.
Mr. Roger King from Bag and Board Productions is another returning guest we've previously spoke with who we had on the Fan Film Podcast two years ago. When we first spoke with Roger his ambitious six part series was just premiering online with episode one. He has sense concluded releasing his epic Spider-Man fan films and joins us to give insight into the long production journey he embarked. He'll certainly go down in the history books of the fan film archives producing what is the most ambitious Spidey fan film series to date.
Doctor Who: Alternate Empire,The project is the brainchild of L.A.-based actor Julian Bane, who wrote the script and plays the role of the Doctor. We spoke with Bain by phone on March 7, 2011. Thanks again to David Nagel of the UK for audio file assistance.
Kellen Gibbs is a Fan Film Podcast first. He's the only one we've interviewed that makes a return appearance to the show. First time out we discussed his Harry Potter fan film "James Potter and the Hall of Elders' Crossing". Now we have the sequel titled "James Potter and the Curse of the Gatekeeper". Both films are actually based on fan film fiction series written by the very talented Mister George Norman Lippert who appeared with Kellen on our aforementioned show. This time out composer Isaias Garcia joins Kellen to discuss his contributions to the James Potter world.
As Mr. Moshier and Fanboy Will take a brief break from podcasting (come back soon, gentlemen!), it falls to me, JE Smith, to provide the first podcast of the new year, and the first Doctor Who -themed podcast here at Fan Film Follies! Our guest for this installment is John Reid Adams, the star, writer, and co-producer of the outstanding new fan film A Survivor's Triangle.
Interviews that are included on the Podcast are Vixens of Virtue Vixens of Vice creator Rob Longo as well as actor Corey Feldman. Plus we get stories of all Will's adventures at the convention.
The next couple Fan Film Podcasts will have Fanboy Will's experiences, interviews, and panels from a couple conventions he went to this past October in New York City. I'm sure all you intune comic book fans know the ones I speak of. They're, of the course, the Wizard Big Apple Comic Con and the New York Comic Con at Jacob K. Javits Center. We start off with the Wizard Con where Will speaks with artist Mike McKone. The second half of the show we bring you the original Batman Television Show Panel with guests Adam West and Bruce Ward.
I give you (along with Fanboy Will) writer/producer Jennifer Zhang, director Hugh Jardon, and fight choreographer William Magno Alejandrino. They're three of the forces behind "Street Fight High The Musical", a bizarre parody fan film that cleverly works.
Writer/Director Alex Valderana and actor Jon Caballero return in part two of their interview exclusively at the Fan Film Podcast. We continue discussing Alex's Batman fan film called Hothouse as well as his currently in production Nightwing web series titled a Escalations. Part 2 of 2.
Our guests this time out on the Fan Film Podcast are fellow New Yorkers, Writer/Director Alex Valderana and actor Jon Caballero. Alex discusses his previously released Batman fan film called Hothouse as well as his currently in production Nightwing web series titled Escalations starring Jon as the aforementioned character. Part 1 of 2.
Michael Fox is the mastermind behind VOX which I learned in this interview is technically a fan film loosely based on the role playing game Warhammer. What the Fox Man and crew were able to do on their meager budget is nothing, but inspiring. And what professionals! We shot for two days in ten degree (or below) weather. Fox and team not only knew what shots they wanted, but also knew how to keep their talent fat, almost warm, and happy.
Adrien of SmashMedia Productions is our guest on this new edition of the Fan Film Podcast. He's storyboarded a lot of the high end Hollywood Superhero films that have come out in recent years including both Fantastic Four films and X-Men 2 & 3 as well as a long list of credits in between. And he's also made a fan film based one of his favorite long time pulp characters - The Shadow.
Fanboy Will and I haven't done a one of one, give and take since the beginning of the Fan Film Podcast. We've normally always had a guest or guests on tap. We decided to put the spotlight of the show on ourselves this time out discussing current goings ons in the world of the funny books and the movies based on them as well as any other insignificant pieces of information that interests us.
Writer/director Ryan O'Leary and actor James Kuck join us this time out to give us a rundown on their new Y: The Last Man film.
Mr. Eddie Lebron who brings us his vision of the Nintendo Campcon character, MegaMan.
So let's start back with our 21-year-old writer/director guest Dan Marcus who has created his own short superhero film called "Fallen".
You may actually be asking yourself who Chris Bouchard is. Iâ??m sure if you listen to this Podcast or know anything about fan films â??The Hunt for Gollumâ?? has crossed your path. In my opinion the film in question along with another Lord of the Rings fan film called â??Born of Hopeâ?? both have legitimized the genre even further. And to borrow from an old, tired both films have raised the bar to what fan films can and will become.
YO JOE! I mean YO SCOTT! Iâ??m talking Scott Grass from Forsaken Filmz who has brought us the G.I. Joe fan film "End Of Peace".
So Fanboy Will tells me of this fan film called X-23 Terrell Culbert. What the hell is an X-23? More importantly what the hell is a Terrell Culbert?
For our second guest we bring you a man who calls himself Clutch! YEPPER! Just Clutch. He's the writer and director behind the unique Star Wars fan film Makazie One. In my opinion and Iâ??ll also speak for Fanboy Will the best two Star Wars Fan Films released in the year 2009 are by far Crossroads of Destiny and Makazie One.
Fanboy Will attended the 2009 Big Apple Comic Convention most specifically a panel that was supposed to include The Dukes of Hazzard stars Catherine Bach, Tom Wopat, and John Schneider. It turned out the only one able to attend due to various reasons was John Schneider. He did not disappoint as he talked very candidly about both Hazzard and his other SUPER acting gig on Smallville.
This week we've got two - two shows in one. The first half of this week's show we speak to Kellen Gibbs and George Norman Lippert about the Harry Potter themed fan film production "James Potter and the Hall of Elders' Crossing". The second half of this week's show we'll talk to Fanboy Will about his experiences at this year's Big Apple Comic Convention that was held October 16th through the 18th. He was able to briefly speak with Supergirl's Helen Slater and Smallville's John Schneider.
Dan Poole from Alpha Dog Productions is back with us talking up his original film project in the second part of his interview. We had a great time with Dan. These guys and gals we talk to never fail to impress us with their talents and their approachable personalities. Dan is yet another in a long line of class acts.
Dan Poole from Alpha Dog Productions is another fan film legend who has helped pave the way for today's fan film makers. For Fanboy Will, Dan and his film "Green Goblin's Last Stand" is the single reason why he's a fan of the genre and the reason we do this podcast today.
Cameron McCasland is one of the many, many, many people who have directed their fan film making towards the Star Wars universe in this case with his short film EZ Chewie.
James Cawley is our guest this week on the Fan Film Podcast. Mr. Cawley produces a well known series for the internet called Star Trek: Phase II, a show that is literally downloaded by millions of people around the world. Part one of two.

A nice little change on this week's Fan Film Podcast. We're talking art. If you're into Fan Films then I can bet dollars to donuts you've seen this gentleman's work. Jeff Hayes is literally the "poster boy" of the Fan Film world designing some of the most visually stunning one-sheets that could rival any cinema imagery from this summer's (or any summer's) Hollywood Blockbusters. His work puts another layer of legitimacy on the very subject we cover here.
Jessika Hallett â?? A talented writer, actress, and singer with a passion for all that is geek destined to produce a fan film inspired by the characters and world of Kevin Grevioux and Len Wiseman - Underworld.
Gotham Public Works join us again. This time out we have writer/director Brian Crosby, Cynthia Mendez (Huntress), and Jill Encarnacion (Batgirl) as they discuss their involvement in the GPW as well as give us tidbits about the much anticipated fan film - Batman: Forsaken.
He'll fight for freedom where ever there's trouble. Of course I'm talking about Sean Robert Olson, director, editor, writer, and executive producer of the fan film GI JOE: Battle for the Serpent Stone. He never gives up. He's always there, making great entertainment for the internet masses.
Roger King from Bag and Board Productions joins us this week on the Fan Film Podcast for part two of a two part interview.

What makes Dr. Robbins film unique and special is that it was produced in 1936 making this a true pioneering film in the realm to what we classify as a â??FAN FILM.â?? The short is called Tarzan and the Rocky Gorge.
The man who we are most jealous of making these babe-elicious superheroine films is Mr. Andy Rodriguez through his company New Phoenix Filmworks International.
This week the Fan Film Podcast interviews Chris Strompolos and Eric Zala about their experiences in the making of this classic fan film Radiers of the Lost Ark The Adaptation - Part 2

How do we know Marc Kimball? Oooohhhhâ?¦let us count the ways. Thereâ??s his Star Wars mockumentary, "The Star Wars Battle of Hoth." Thereâ??s his parody political satire, â??Star Wars, Dantana Morse for Galactic Senate.â?? Thereâ??s his original short film, â??Star Ranger 7: A Force of One.â?? But Marc is most well known for his classic fan film, â??Superman: The Super 8 Movieâ?? which has been picked up, used, and shelved more times than William Shatnerâ??s hairpiece.
Jason Damian from Influence Films uses the Wally West version of the Flash character for his first foray into fandom filming with "The Flash: Crossover".
Enter Nic Collins from Tootalu Films. While Zack Snyder was some what successful in pleasing the fans on his 120+ million dollar epic Nic was trying to please the fans (and himself) with his next to zero budgeted film involving the same source material. When you compare apples to oranges both Zack and Nic came as close as any filmmaker would ever be able to make this classic story to film.
James Watson from Atlantis Studios is in the hot seat this week as Fanboy Will and I grill him about his comic book series turned live action short films called Paula Peril.
Iâ??m very jealous of Fanboy Will on this weekâ??s Fan Film Podcast. Will interviews Mr. Phil Morris at this years New York City Comic Convention held at the Javits Center on February 6th through the 8th.
Welcome to the first show of 2009. Fanboy Will is going to get things going the next two podcasts with his experiences and interviews from the New York City Comic Convention held at the Javits Center on February 6th through the 8th.
Our guest this time out on the FFP is Mr. Clive Young who is the first person in the history of people to write a book on the subject of the fan film. He calls his creation "Homemade Hollywood."
Members Tara Strand (Harley Quinn), Donald Strand (The Joker), and Regan Remy (Catwoman) from Gotham Public Works - Part 2.

The masterminds behind the animated The Greatest Fan Film of All Time, Mr. Larry Longstreth, joins us.
Fanboy Will and I conclude our talk with Ron Santiano from REDCAPE Cinema. We talk more about his original series, "EVE", as well as his plan for a few spin off series and also a scoop on a possible new fan film. Ubber goodness with a creamy center!
