TVC 674.2: Part 2 of a conversation that began last week with singer, actor, producer, and entertainment legend Pat Boone. Pat stars, along with Michael Learned, Kevin Sorbo, Tom Wopat, and Dean Cain, in the biopic Our Crossroads, a true story of family and faith that is scheduled for release in July 2025. Pat and Kevin Sorbo also both play Thomas Jefferson in The American Miracle, another film that is slated for release later in 2025, while Pat can currently be seen in Reagan and Miracle in the Valley, both of which are available now for viewing on demand through Amazon Prime. Topics this segment include Pat's longtime friendship with Elvis Presley, which began in 1956 and continued until the day The King died in 1977; why Elvis was terribly shy with most people when he wasn't performing onstage; and the time that Elvis met evangelist Oral Roberts, which Pat had arranged at Elvis' request.
TVC 673.3: Ed welcomes back Pat Boone, the legendary singer, actor, and all-around entertainer who not only celebrated his ninetieth birthday a few months back, but also recently marked his seventieth year in show business. Pat Boone and Michael Learned star as Bob and Barbara Fraley in the biopic Our Crossroads, a true story of family and faith that also features Kevin Sorbo, Tom Wopat, and Dean Cain. Our Crossroads is scheduled for release in July 2025. Pat Boone and Kevin Sorbo also both play Thomas Jefferson in The American Miracle, another film that is slated for release later in 2025. Pat can currently be seen in Reagan and Miracle in the Valley, both of which are available now for viewing on demand through Amazon Prime. Topics this segment include how Pat met Michael Learned for the first time just before filming their scenes together in Our Crossroads; how Pat approached providing the voice of our sixteenth president for “The Legacy of Abraham Lincoln,” a 2023 episode of the animated series Star Spangled Adventures; and why films have always been influential on our culture, particularly among young people.

We're kicking things off with a look at what we're in for this year, Bernie on the News, and a look at Tim Allen's new ABC car-themed sitcom: Shifting Gears. We're going to add it to the pop culture review! Dukes Review: This is the first episode to release in 1985 and was (as of right now) exactly 40 years ago! By this point in the show the series was actually over. Filming had ceased. Actors were looking for new jobs. General Lee's were sitting idly, waiting for a young Corndog to document them, knowing that there were 27 General Lee's at the time and he stashed 8 of them for himself to find when he grew up. Tom Wopat directs the episode and - like his previous episodes - really gives fan service, interesting camera angles, and always establishes where the General is. There are no miniatures used of any kind - only recycled footage of jumps and new wrecks. At the end everyone is on scene together and happy. Rosco is over the top funny. It's a really nice episode. White there are no new jumps, there are new stunts in it - including a big General Lee wreck that is potentially that last GL to be wrecked on screen. But I have to admit…it kind of seems like a goodbye. 8 Corndogs. Legit Episode Info Season 7, Episode 13 “The Haunting of J.D. Actor John Schneider changed the course of television history with iconic characters and cross-generational appeal with the Dukes of Hazzard, Smallville, The Haves and the Have Nots, but the fact that he's done exactly that on a regular basis for at least four decades makes him a legend. John has over 20 albums to his credit, five #1 singles on the Billboard Country chart and his latest We're Still Us. On the road, you may even catch John Schneider and Tom Wopat singing together bringing back more memories than just the General Lee jumping through the sky. John is back with us today as he stars in the new Christmas movie, Jingle Smells along with Ben Davies, Eric Roberts, Jim Breuer and Victoria Jackson to name a few. And John has a heart for people, as it's worth noting that John co-founded (with Marie Osmond) the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, which has raised more than $8.5 billion for 170 children's hospitals throughout the United States. The Marquis Theatre was having great success in 2001 with the revival of Annie Get Your Gun. It had opened in 1999 with Bernadette Peters and Tom Wopat and became just the second show in Marquis history to surpass 1000 performances. It closed with Crystal Bernard in the title role with Tom Wopat coming back as Frank Butler to close the show on September 1, 2001. But ten days after Annie Get Your Gun closed, all of Broadway closed, New York City shut down, and an entire nation was brought to its knees in anguish, heartache, and disbelief. Everything stopped. So far this season, Closing Night has been focused on individual shows at the Marquis Theatre and how and why they closed. But in this special episode, we'll look at the whole Broadway community—the shows and actors and industry leaders—how they were affected by 9/11 and what it took to bring theater back to New York City. increasingly, the court of public opinion through social media has the power to make or break a film. and the ubiquitous exposure of artists' personal foibles now serves as a legitimate form of film criticism. "Bad" people, so the argument goes, are not deserving of our attention, regardless of the quality of the work. Some questions that arise in this discussion are: -is it fair or right to equate the artist with the art? -Does the art stand on its own, despite the biography of the artist? -Can a film that has ideologically questionable aspects, still be a worthwhile work of art? -Is the censoring of artists, because of their personal flaws, a form of social control, limiting what we can see, enjoy or find meaningful, or is it a necessary corrective to toxic masculinity, racism and cis conformity that has been allowed to run rampant for many decades? Azed & Tom, discuss these questions and more, while focusing in on two specific films, Louis C.K. unreleased I Love You, Daddy and Andrew Dominik's much maligned, Blonde. In Louis C.K.'s case his movie was cancelled following the news that- without consent-he exposed himself to numerous women. Dominik's Blonde, a surreal meditation on Marilyn Monroe, was perhaps the most derided film from 2022, citing it's apparent misogyny, social media mobs ripped the film to shreds. Listen in and join the conversation or don't and just cancel us based on Azed's continued defense of The Dukes of Hazzard and their Confederate flag topped car named The General Lee. Just leave Tom Wopat alone!!

At one time, Dukes of Hazzard was one of the biggest shows on television. And co-star Tom Wopat has been elevated to legend status by many who grew up in the early 80s....including our Sports In Yer Shorts boy, Chris Gough. So much so that Gough has gone from merely kind of stalker-ish, to becoming good friends with Wopat...and now WE are that much closer to LUKE DUKE!!!!!

00h 00’00” Presentación 00h 00’24” Cabecera 00h 01’14” BERNADETTE PETERS & EL MUSICAL 00h 03’20” HARRY WARREN - We’re in the money – Pennies from Heaven 00h 05’40” IRVING BERLIN – Anything you can do (con Tom Wopat) 00h 08’54” IRVING BERLIN – I got lost in his arms 00h 13’00” IRVING BERLIN – I got the sun in the morning 00h 17’25” IRVING BERLIN – They say it’s wonderful (con Tom Wopat) 00h 21’05” JERRY HERMAN – I won’t send roses 00h 23’11” JERRY HERMAN – Look what happened to Mabel 00h 26’43” JERRY HERMAN – Time heals everything 00h 30’03” JERRY HERMAN – Wherever he ain’t 00h 33’03” LEONARD BERNSTEIN – I feel like I’m not out bed yet 00h 34’00” LEONARD BERNSTEIN – Some other time 00h 35’46” MARVIN HAMLISCH – How can I win 00h 39’33” MARVIN HAMLISCH – No more 00h 43’23” MARVIN HAMLISCH – What a guy 00h 46’43” ROGERS & HAMMERSTEIN – If I loved you 00h 49’55” ROGERS & HAMMERSTEIN – Out of my dreams 00h 53’24” ROGERS & HAMMERSTEIN – Some enchanted evening 00h 57’58” ROGERS & HAMMERSTEIN – Something good 00h 59’24” ROGERS & HAMMERSTEIN – Something wonderful 01h 02’46” ROGERS & HAMMERSTEIN – There is nothin’ like a dame 01h 07’24” ROGERS & HAMMERSTEIN - What the use of wondering 01h 10’37” ROGERS & HAMMERSTEIN – You’ll never walk alone 01h 13’24” LLOYD WEBBER & BLACK – Capped teeth and Caesar salad 01h 17’37” LLOYD WEBBER & BLACK – Come back with the same look in your eyes 01h 21’09” LLOYD WEBBER & BLACK – Married men 01h 24’10” LLOYD WEBBER & BLACK – Overture & Take that look off your face 01h 29’47” LLOYD WEBBER & BLACK – Tell me on a Sunday 01h 35’02” LLOYD WEBBER & BLACK – Unexpected song 01h 38’44” KANDER & EBB – All that jazz 01h 43’40” SHAIMAN & WITTMAN – Hang the moon 01h 48’23” BERNADETTE PETERS & EL POP 01h 48’51” Blackbird 01h 53’02” Cupid 01h 57’23” He’s got away 02h 01’09” I’ll be your baby tonight 02h 04’35” Running on faith 02h 10’04” Don’t 02h 14’16” Gee whiz 02h 16’44” Pearl’s a singer 02h 21’29” Sweet alibis 02h 23’57” You’ll never know

So, it seemed only fitting to replay his one and only appearance on our show from 2019 (Episode 102). Bach heard about the audition for The Dukes of Hazzard through her husband. When she arrived there, she found the producers were looking for a Dolly Parton-lookalike; despite not looking like what they were searching for, she was hired on the spot. One of the earliest costume ideas from the producers was that she wear a tight white turtleneck, go-go boots and a poodle skirt, but Bach asked if she could bring her own outfit, which was a homemade T-shirt, a pair of cut-off denim shorts and high heels. Bach had concerns about the appropriateness of the cut-off shorts at first, saying she could not wear them in a restaurant scene. When prompted by the producers to visit a restaurant across the street, Bach found the waitresses were wearing "little miniskirts that matched the tablecloths!". She starred on that show, opposite Tom Wopat, John Schneider and James Best. At the suggestion of the show's producers, Bach posed as Daisy Duke for a poster, which sold 5 million copies. The poster once caused a stir when Nancy Reagan took a liking to it after Bach visited the White House with one as a gift for one of her former schoolteachers then working there. While she was starring on The Dukes of Hazzard, her legs were insured for $1,000,000. In 1985, she served as the model for the figurehead for the schooner Californian.
This week we welcome John Schneider along with Tammy and Tonya! Best known for playing Bo Duke on the hit TV series The Dukes of Hazzard, John Schneider also maintained a parallel secondary career as a country singer for much of the '80s. Born in Mt. Kisco, New York, in 1960, Schneider grew up in Atlanta and started acting at the age of eight; he also learned guitar, and as a teenager he entertained at parties and other social events. He loved auto racing and briefly attempted to become a professional, and that experience helped him land his costarring role on The Dukes of Hazzard in 1979. Meanwhile, John recorded a country album called Now or Never for Scotti Brothers in 1981. It was a Top Ten hit on the country charts, and the single "It's Now or Never" made the Top Five on both the country and adult contemporary charts, just missing the pop Top Ten. The holiday album White Christmas followed, and John went on to sign with MCA, issuing five albums from 1984-1987. He scored four number one singles during that time: "I've Been Around Enough to Know" (1984), "Country Girls" (1985), and "What's a Memory Like You (Doing in a Love Like This)" and "You're the Last Thing I Needed Tonight" (both 1986). He also managed five other Top Ten hits, and one of his LPs, 1986's A Memory Like You, topped the country charts. John Schneider kept his acting career going with a variety of guest starring roles on television, plus a few films, and appeared in a couple of Dukes of Hazzard reunion projects. He returned to the spotlight in 2001, when he landed the role of Clark Kent's father on the popular WB series Smallville. From that point forward, Schneider worked regularly on film and television, including providing voices for animated series. He resumed his recording career in a low-key fashion in 2009 with the self-released John's Acoustic Christmas, which was followed by another holiday album in 2014: a collaboration with his Dukes of Hazzard costar Tom Wopat called Home for Christmas. Schneider signed with Maven Music in 2016, releasing Ruffled Skirts, which featured Cajun Navy as support, that year. In 2018, Schneider released Odyssey, an ambitious 52-song exploration of American roots music. You can find John on Facebook or visit his website: JohnSchneiderStudios.com Tammy & Tonya started singing in churches at a very young age along with their parents and three other siblings, Renee, Jamie and Laysa. Their father, Tommy Bilyeu, was a Southern Baptist minister in the Ozarks and The Bilyeu Family spread their ministry in song over the region for many years. Branson historians will remember Tonya & Tammy's start in show business by performing with their family, the Baldknobbers, in the late 70's and early 80's. The duo also spent over a decade performing as the "Stutterettes" with Country Music legend, Mel Tillis. Picking up the game in her early childhood, she went on to becoming a two-time first-team all American at Stanford University for their women's indoor team. Her transition to the beach was near-seamless, with multiple top-ten finishes with the AVP and on the regional scenes, including a recent finals appearance at the "Motherlode" in Aspen, Colorado. Presented with Holley! If you're planning to do an EFI conversion Holley has a baffled EFI in-tank-pump equipped option ready to go for you! Remember, stock tanks meant for carburetors initially weren't baffled, meaning a little sloshy-slosh here and there was inevitable (and for a carb with a fuel bowl, not a big deal). EFI requires a constant high pressure fuel supply, and an in-tank pump in the confines of a baffled fuel tank is the best way to go for drivability AND performance. The OEM's have done that for 30 years! Dukes Review: This is the first episode to release in 1985….and by this point in the show, the series was actually over. 8 Corndogs. Toby is joined by country singer Todd Barrow to talk about his unique style of music and his new single 'Girl Like You'.Todd Barrow is making a name for himself as a country artist to watch. The Texas singer-songwriter has racked up more than a few accolades, from a PRSA Award of Excellence, an Akademia Award for Best Country Album, and an artist spotlight in Alternative Roots Magazine, American Pride Magazine and AVA Radio. He has appeared on television shows including Good Morning Texas with Jerry Matheny and Texas Music Café on PBS. He's even shared the stage and studio with some of country music's heaviest hitters, from CMA musicians in Miranda Lambert's band to Fort Worth Producer of the Year Bart Rose. But it's more than just Todd's success to date that makes him such a compelling country artist. What's most readily apparent in Todd Barrow's music is his heart. Todd's music is no country for old men. While he undoubtedly draws his sonic influence from titans like Hank Williams and Johnny Cash, his melodies skew modern. He plays almost every instrument, from piano to guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and drums, and the multi-instrumentalist doubles as a songwriter for himself as well as for other artists. “"If I can put a smile on someone's face through song, well that just means the world to me,” he says. “I try to get to the real heart and soul of a song. To me, it's not just words but a story, and I do my best to portray that with every line. That's my main draw to country music; the stories, the people, and the sincerity that comes from the heart." It's precisely that heart that has won over audiences around the world. Todd Barrow's recent single, “The House That Love Built”, co-written with Sonny Burgess, was featured on RightNow TV and was honored by PRSA Fort Worth for its fundraising efforts on behalf of the Ronald McDonald house. Todd was featured in the lineup for Bo's Extravaganza festival at John Schneider's Studio, alongside such artists as Kid Rock and Tom Wopat from Dukes of Hazzard. He has received radio airplay from Italy Radio 6.75 for his single “Hot Southern Night”. Todd Barrow just released his latest single, “Girl Like You,” written about love during COVID-19! Todd is a proud member of the Harry Fox Agency, the Country Music Association, the International Singer-Songwriters Association, the Texas Music Office, BMI, the Fort Worth Songwriters Association, American Music Podcasting, the NSAIDFW Songwriters Association, the Dallas Songwriters Association, the British Country Music Association and the Bayou Country Music Association.Email:Toddwaynebarrow@yahoo.com Phone: 817-983-4168Website: http://www.ToddBarrowMusic.comFacebook: http://www.facebook.com/ToddBarrowMusic Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/ToddBarrowMusicInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/ToddBarrowMusic1YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/c/ToddBarrow See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Dukes Review: Rosco is very very very funny in this episode. That's basically the entire episode because not a lot else is super memorable. It's the age-old tale of a fake breaking-of-every-bone-in-Rosco's-body-to-steal-the-Duke-farm that you've heard time and time again, and it's both predictable and happy too. There's one super awesome stunt that Tom Wopat does running along side the General. Otherwise, bring on the next episode. 6 corndogs. One last thing.
