Welcome to the third episode of Fjordhammer! We’ll be covering some new releases, answer some listener questions and talk about Bloodbowl. For the book review, I’m joined by Kye Baker. It’s a very special book, the Warhammer World exclusive Nagash: The Undying King! Today’s other guest is Sam, author of the excellent Hinterlands skirmish campaign system. We’ll be chatting about the rules of Hinterlands, so if you miss Mordheim, you don’t want to miss this. Rounding out the episode is the start of a new series about the narrative of Age of Sigmar. Newbie or veteran, this series will freshen your understanding of the Mortal Realms. I'd also like to give Steve Foote a huge shoutout for redisigning the Fjordhammer logo. I completely forgot to thank him on the episode! Silly mistake, but I owe you one Steve. In the final part of episode 2, I talk a little about how to prepare yourself for an event. Not in terms of remembering your models and dice, but in how you mentally prepare. Whether you're a new player, a narrative player or a seasoned vet, the enjoyment you get out of an event will depend on how you approach it. Listen to this episode to get some tips from a narrative player who got 3rd place at a competitive event!
This minisode is all about recruiting new players. Aaron Bostian, one of the hosts of the Nova Open, has held an open demo night aimed at youths. I chat with him about how to best go about doing this, and what impact it could have on your community. Find more info about the Nova Open here: http://www.novaopen.com/age-of-sigmar/
