    Wild - Nidra w/Lisa Bozeman

Wild is an interesting concept… if you look up the word WILD in the dictionary you can find it listed as an adjective, a descriptor - such as a natural environment that is untamed, uncultivated or fierce. Interesting enough though, Wild can also be used as a noun when describing a location that may be unkept or unknown. Wild can also be used as a Verb when describing an action that is unruly or uncomfortable to observe as in 'they were acting wild'. I offer that Wildness is a state of no-mind, of non-duality. That Wildness is a conscious state of being. Unfiltered. Raw. Perfectly imperfect. Join me in a practice of Yoga Nidra, a sleep-based guided meditation practice where you can tune into your wild side. “All good things are wild and free.” --Henry David Thoreau Closing the practice, you can remember the mantra Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu to guide you in continued practice in service of yourself and others. May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.

    H'OOPONOPONO W/LISA

This year has been a doozy!! Can you remember a time of so much unrest and unexpected change? Are you tired, stressed, mad? If you're feeling like me - it's Yes, Yes and Yes. And while that is relative and true it doesn't feel good. So what do we do? How do we clear the mind? For the September Yoga Nidra, I offer you Ho'oponopono. It's an ancient Hawaiian prayer practice that helps you process forgiveness and reconciliation. Ho'o means "to make" and pono "right" so the repetition of the word pono translates to mean "doubly right" and the prayer helps you settle energies with both within yourself and around you. The prayer is simple: I'm sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you, I love you. You can change the order and phrasing of the words and simply repeat them over and over. When we allow ourselves to heal and release, we make room for what we really want - love, joy, and freedom. "Not harming ourselves or others in the beginning, not harming ourselves or others in the middle, and not harming ourselves or other in the end is the basis of enlightened society. This is how there could be a sane world. It starts with sane citizens, and that is us. The most fundamental aggression to ourselves, the most fundamental harm we can do to ourselves, is to remain ignorant by not having the courage and the respect to look at ourselves honestly and gently." - Pema Chodron

Listen to our military podcast, in which we are joined with owner Eva Shaw, Jaime Gonzales (Chairman of Military and Schools on the Ignite Board), and Steve Yamamori (President of The Reveille Foundation) in an enlightening discussion on the difficulties military families undergo. Ignite understands that something as simple as a yoga class can change lives. Yoga can decrease stress, help process mental illness, and start the road to recovery of PTSD. The Ignite Yoga Foundation has revolutionized wellness programs for military families that tirelessly work, so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have. This year we are providing 20 military children with a complimentary yoga scholarship and two military schools with our Spark Adventurers after school program. In an effort to supply as many programs to military families as possible, we are hosting an August Mural Fundraiser on August 30th. Join us online for an amazing FREE hour and a half Ashtanga class! The yoga techniques and participants will be the inspiration for our artist Ruben Hernandez to create a mural, while the class is taking place. The class will be a live-stream fundraiser, in which all proceeds will go to Title 1 schools in Maricopa, AZ for the school year 2020-2021.
