The final message in The Person of the Holy Spirit series. We have a continuous pattern for how to overcome the bondage of the enemy: Walk in the Spirit, be Led by the Spirit, Live in the Spirit, and come under the Rank and File rule of the Spirit. Some people remain in a state of spiritual infancy and do not come to the maturity required to take the whole counsel of God. Instead, they persecute those who are born in the Spirit, as Ishmael persecuted Isaac. If you walk in the Spirit and are led by Him, you will encounter Ishmaels until the day you die. Recognize that the power of the One who has given you His Spirit is greater than the power of the spirit of Ishmael and those who come against. The Spirit of God is able to overcome. A look at the history of philosophy paints a sad picture of people becoming bolder through time in criticism of religion. Nevertheless, each would have to admit that everything is transitory. Peter, quoting Isaiah, points this out, however the Word of the Lord endures. The work of the Spirit is to wither our fleshly glory so that we might be possessed by things eternal. POSTGAME: TITANS Defeat CARDINALS 22-21....in an INCREDIBLE ComeBack Victory!! GLENDALE, AZ ― Well, how about that: The Tennessee Titans won a football game. They put their 10-game losing streak to bed with a 22-21 comeback versus the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium on Oct. 5, getting coach Brian Callahan and quarterback Cam Ward their first win as a tandem. The Titans (1-4) trailed by 15 points for most of the game and looked poised to go down three scores in the fourth quarter on a long Arizona run, but a mental mistake turned what should've been six Arizona points into Titans football. Rookie quarterback Cam Ward responded with a scoring drive. Then the Titans defense forced a quick stop. Then the Titans scored a touchdown on a play that started with a Cardinals interception. Suddenly the score was 21-19 with a little under five minutes to play, and the Titans needing a stop to finish the comeback. Arizona drained some clock, but the defense came up with its stop, getting the ball back to the offense with 1:53 left and no timeouts from the Titans' own 18-yard line. After a couple quick completions, Ward found tight end Chig Okonkwo for 16 yards to get the team near midfield and then a 38-yard dagger to receiver Calvin Ridley to get the Titans well into kicker Joey Slye's range. Slye connected on a 29-yard field goal to win the game. Looking for a free mini puzzle? Play the USA TODAY Quick Cross now. What the heck happened there? Ward nearly threw the game away. At the 4:53 mark in the fourth quarter, Ward dropped back on a third-and-2 from the Cardinals' 20-yard line trailing by nine points. An incompletion wouldn't have been the worst thing; the Titans could've easily kicked a field goal from there and made it a one-score game. But Ward forced a pass to Ridley into a tight window and was intercepted by safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, seemingly ending the Titans' threat. Not so fast. Taylor-Demerson went to the ground untouched after the interception and couldn't keep control of the football. Madness ensued. Several Cardinals tripped and kicked the ball backward trying to recover the fumble. Titans receiver Tyler Lockett squeezed ahead and landed on the ball in the end zone. Touchdown, Lockett's first as a Titan. Cam Ward stats: One gutsy quarter Ward was erratic, late on several throws and couldn't find any rhythm on deep shots. He only completed 5 of his 16 attempts in the first half, finishing with just 58 passing yards. Factor in sacks, and the Titans only netted 42 yards through the air before halftime, with the offense stalling across midfield three times. Get the 4th and Monday newsletter in your inbox. Expert guide of the week's NFL action, game results and must-see moments. Delivery: Mon Your Email For a brief moment in the fourth quarter, Ward showed signs of life. With the Titans trailing 21-6, Ward orchestrated a six-play, 80-yard drive headlined by a 47-yard deep crosser to Ridley that got the Titans into the red zone for the first time in eight quarters and a 19-yard rainbow to tight end Gunnar Helm perfectly lofted over Helm's outside shoulder that set up a 1-yard Tony Pollard touchdown. Ward finished the day 21-for-39 with 265 yards and an interception. Ridley caught five passes for 131 yards. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The Tennessee #Titans and Arizona #Cardinals meet in Week 5 action in Glendale, Arizona, this Sunday. The two teams have met a total of 12 times, with the Cardinals winning eight of those matchups. The #TITANUP look to change that this week, but it won't be an easy task. The Cardinals are an unpredictable team that keeps games close regardless of whether they win or lose. The Titans have shown flashes of potential, but have been unable to capitalize on much of anything. The matchup between these teams provides some intriguing fantasy football options on both sides of the ball. Let's take a look at some players to start and sit in fantasy football from this Week 5 matchup. Start: TE Trey McBride, Arizona Trey McBride has been Kyler Murray's top target all season. Marvin Harrison Jr. is making a case for himself as well, but McBride leads the Cardinals with 234 receiving yards. The Titans' defense struggles in the middle third, so if Murray targets McBride there, he could end up averaging 13 yards per catch like he did against the Carolina Panthers. Sit: WR Calvin Ridley, Tennessee This was a tough decision. Ridley hasn't played well through the first four weeks of the season. He has 10 receptions on 24 targets for 141 yards, a 41% catch rate, and zero touchdowns. He will be targeted this week against a weak Cardinals' secondary, but trusting him to catch the ball is a risk right now. If you truly need a receiver from this team, grab Elic Ayomanor. He has 12 receptions on 25 targets for 151 yards and a touchdown. His catch rate is still under 50%, but it's higher than Ridley's. Start: QB Kyler Murray, Arizona The Titans' defense struggles mightily against the run and has not been good at getting pressure on the quarterback. That could change this week with Jeffery Simmons set to take advantage of Evan Brown, who has struggled to gain leverage and anchor. This will cause Murray to roll out more often than he would like, which also means he will run with the ball more often than he'd like. With the Cardinals using their third-and fourth-string running backs, Murray becomes the focal point of the run game. Start: RB Tony Pollard, Tennessee If there's anything about the Titans' offense that is good, it's Tony Pollard. Okay, that's not really fair, but Pollard is the most reliable offensive player the Titans have. He is a volume back; he's not going to average five yards per carry like Christian McCaffrey, but he will get plenty of touches. And, he's one of the first players to find the end zone for Tennessee regularly. The Cardinals' run defense is solid, ranking in the top 10, but Pollard is essentially the Titans' entire run game right now. He will get his yards this week. Start: WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Trey McBride may be the top-targeted player so far, but Harrison is making a case for himself to be Murray's favorite. He's also facing a Titans' secondary that has allowed six passing touchdowns and ranks 22nd versus wide receivers. In his second year, Harrison is finding his footing and learning to fully implement his talents on the field. He will get his targets this week, and he's likely to give L'Jarius Sneed a run for his money when he does catch the ball. Sleeper: RB Emari Demercado, Arizona The starting running back by default, Demercado, is in his third season in the NFL. Trey Benson was placed on injured reserve this week, and James Conner was placed on injured reserve with a foot injury, which is how Demercado ended up the starting running back. He has just four carries in 2025, but as the lead back, he will get 12-15 touches on Sunday. The Titans' run defense is fifth-worst in the NFL, which means that Demercado could have a breakout game. Image via Gilbert Parmonangan / Shutterstock. At Charlie Kirk’s public memorial in Arizona, his widow Erika urged mourners to “mark your soul again and again” through daily choices for Christ, quoting Charlie’s journal about how each decision leaves a mark on the soul. Timmerie guides you through Erika’s faith-filled call to prayer, Scripture, Sunday worship, and perseverance under trial. What happened at the memorial The tribute took place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday, September 21, 2025. You might have seen Erika’s address, which many described as the most moving moment of the day. Her message centered on grace, forgiveness, and a life set apart for God. The heart of Erika’s message, as Timmerie highlights Timmerie zeroes in on a small, potent line from Charlie’s journal that Erika read aloud: “Every time you make a decision, it puts a mark on your soul.” From that seed, Erika invited people to "choose Christ again and again. Pray again. Read Scripture again. Go to Sunday Mass again. Break from the shackles of sin. She reminded everyone that discipleship is hard, and that Jesus promised the cross, not comfort. Timmerie then connects Erika’s call to the sacramental life. When good choices bring us close to Christ, we stay grafted to the Vine. When sin stains the soul, Confession restores us. This is classic Catholic spirituality: repeated acts that train love and form the will. And it is for every state of life, not only for public figures like Charlie Kirk. “Mark your soul” in Catholic terms -Prayer each day. Short prayers through the day keep the heart near God. -Scripture each day. The Gospels shape our choices and our speech. -Sunday worship every week. We keep the command – we receive the Lord. -Confession as needed. Grace wipes the stain and strengthens resolve. -Small sacrifices often. Love costs. The cross is our sign. Erika’s counsel matches time-tested Catholic practice. It turns grief into intercession, it turns shock into witness, and it builds a community that helps new believers grow. Here are some practical things you can do this week to practice holiness: -Welcome the seeker next to you at Mass. -Invite one person to pray with you this week. -Make the sign of the cross before meals – in public – with quiet courage. -Choose the good again. Then choose it again tomorrow. The saints made saints. That is how grace spreads – it starts with one small choice that leaves one clear mark on one willing soul.
We are targets of the devil because of God's Spirit in us, so it is important for us to try the spirits to discern false teaching from the Word of God. We need to look to the Word and learn the sayings of God, carefully wielding the rhemas as a short sword – in defense and offense against the enemy. It is much more painful to be badly treated by somebody you love than by a stranger, and the Holy Spirit of God is very close to us, given to us by God to abide in our hearts. God continues to give second chances, forgiving all sin against the Son, but we are warned that sin against the Spirit is unpardonable. If we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit and reading the scriptures to learn more about God's way, then He will help us in our walk as yielded vessels. RUNDOWN (352) is Gainesville, Florida — home of the University of Florida. They reflect on Petty's legendary catalog, from “American Girl” to “Free Fallin',” his Beatles-inspired path to music, and his legacy in Gators football culture. Mitch and Hotshot recap the Seahawks' nail-biting win in Glendale, where a late Jason Meyers field goal sealed the victory to move Seattle to 3–1. They turn to the Huskies' tough loss against Ohio State, noting costly penalties and red-zone failures that made the final score more lopsided than the game felt. The Mariners closed the regular season with a sweep at the hands of the Dodgers but secured the No. 2 seed at 90–72. Joe Doyle and Brady Farkas join Mitch to debate whether the late skid matters, the state of the bullpen (Bazardo vs. Brash in high-leverage spots, Munoz's control issues), and the playoff rotation order. They also spar over Cal Raleigh's MVP case against Aaron Judge and whether Seattle should prefer Cleveland or Detroit in the ALDS. The Seahawks dominated for three quarters in Arizona before letting the Cardinals storm back with 17 unanswered points, needing Jason Myers' last-second field goal to escape with a win. The No-Table crew weighs Sam Darnold's poise, Mike Macdonald's conservative late-game decisions, the defense's lapses, and the ongoing questions with the run game and offensive line. Mitch welcomes CBS Sports' Rick Neuheisel, presented by Taco Time Northwest, for his weekly whip-around of the college football world. Zechariah's visions have a New Testament application for our understanding of the work of the Holy Spirit. The imagery of the candlestick shows how God's Spirit illuminates what we are to do in our human responsibility, while He supplies the power that keeps flowing to let us take that light out into a darkened world. As the dust settles from Charlie Kirk's assassination on September 10, 2025, a firestorm of firings and expulsions has erupted over social media posts expressing "joy" or criticism about his death. This segment probes whether these private and public employer actions violate First Amendment protections, unpacking the legal boundaries of speech in workplaces and campuses. Does the conservatives' push for "consequences" undermines the very free speech Kirk championed? In the wake of Charlie Kirk's assassination and the massive memorial service on September 21, 2025, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, this segment dissects the event's fusion of evangelical fervor and Republican rallying cries. Drawing on legal, cultural, and theological lenses, the hosts explore how the service blurred sacred and secular boundaries, raising questions about the entanglement of Christianity and politics—and whether such mergers risk turning national devotion into a form of idolatry. Job seemed to be a very righteous man, but he still had a thousand layers of self that God wanted to remove. God used a young man named Elihu to deliver His message of chastening, not punishment to Job. Elihu characterizes the Spirit-filled person: he was his own character, not a copycat; humble, but firm; answering to God, not man; and concerned about God's righteousness, not Job's. Elihu's message primed the pump for God to speak directly to Job, bringing about conviction. Through God's amazing grace and love, Job was able to turn from self-back to God. This message lays the foundation for understanding the dimensions of the Holy Spirit's personality. Part of His work is to enlighten our minds about spiritual things, conforming us to the image and likeness of Christ. There is a danger of grieving, extinguishing, or quenching what God is doing by willingly ignoring the conviction that comes by the Holy Spirit. He is a person; holy and eternal, just like the Father and the Son; and He cares about us, helps us, and guides us. The Cardinals are taking on the Seahawks tonight in Glendale. Arizona Sports' Tyler Drake tells Jim and LaDona what's to expect from the division rivals after the birds suffered some injuries Sunday night while playing in San Franciso.
Late night host Jimmy Kimmel fought back tears as he made his big return. It was exactly one week ago that his show was suspended after he made controversial comments about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. And last night Kimmel got a chance to tell his side of what happened. And Charlie Kirk's memorial at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona was attended by over 90-thousand people. Now we're learning... In that massive crowd was a popular baseball player who actually skipped a game to say a final goodbye to Kirk. Despite it causing a bit of an uproar... He says he has no regrets. Plus, it's being called escalator-gate. We told you how President Trump and first lady Melania had to walk up the escalator at the United Nations after it just stopped working. The incident sparking major questions -- did someone deliberately cut off the power just to embarrass the president? And it's the return of Hamburger Helper. If you're of a certain age, you'll probably remember mom taking some ground beef and mixing it up with hamburger helper. It was a staple back in the 70's. Now as families are watching their wallets... Sales are surging for this cost-effective comfort food. Paul makes four categories of mankind: the natural man, babes in Christ, carnal believers, and spiritual Christians. The natural man cannot hear the message; the babe in Christ grows, feeding on the sincere milk of the Word; carnal believers are never confronted with facing themselves, leaving them in a state of arrested spiritual development; and spiritual Christians constantly feed on the Word, both milk and meat. Some marks of carnality are envying, strife, and divisions, which are in stark contrast with the marks of spirituality: the radiating of God's love in us, hand in hand with faith. Jared Yates Sexton and Nick Hauselman break down how Charlie Kirk's Glendale “memorial” morphed into a full-blown Authoritarian Christian Nationalist pep rally: Stephen Miller's “I am the storm” theatrics, Tucker Carlson's martyr-making dog whistles, and Donald Trump turning grief into a campaign stump behind bulletproof glass. They unpack Trump's bizarre (and impeachable) direct message to Attorney General Pam Bondi, and discuss reporting that Tom Homan accepted $50,000 in a restaurant to-go bag during an FBI sting because of course he did. In this powerful episode of Ideas Have Consequences, Larry Alex Taunton offers a heartfelt reflection on the Charlie Kirk Memorial Service in Glendale, Arizona — an unprecedented gathering of nearly 300,000 Christians. Marked by gospel-centered messages, moments of deep sorrow and profound hope, the event featured emotional speeches from Erica Kirk, Marco Rubio, President Donald Trump, and others. Larry contrasts this peaceful and reverent assembly with the ideological violence seen elsewhere, while calling Christians to stand boldly for faith, forgiveness, and truth. ✝️ A call to stand for truth, courage, and the cross — even in the face of cultural opposition.
Josh unpacks the powerful moments from Charlie Kirk's memorial in Glendale, AZ, praising the Turning Point team and spotlighting voices like Erika Kirk. He torches Tucker Carlson for trying to rewrite Charlie's faith and expose yet another attempt to drive a wedge between Christians and Jews. Josh then takes aim at the UN General Assembly as more nations disgracefully move to recognize a "Palestinian" state.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
The difference between a "believer" and a Christian is the presence and power of God's Spirit working in those following Christ. Standing by a fire will warm a person up, but looking at it from afar will not. Likewise, we need the presence of God to transform us from the inside, or else the change will not last. The mark of salvation is our reaction to the message of the Gospel. After the Resurrection, the two messages most needed by the church world are Repent (metanoia) and Love one another. It's Fun Day Monday on the Majority Report On today's show: The Trump administration is hinting at a link between Acetaminophen and autism. Border Czar Tom Homan was investigated for receiving $50,000 in cash back in 2024 for a promise of employment in the Trump Administration. Oddly, after Trump's victory the DOJ shut down the FBI investigation. Professor of immigration and citizenship law at the University of Virginia, Amanda Frost joins the show to discuss her book You Are Not American: Citizen Stripping from Dred Scott to the Dreamers. In the Fun Half: Despite saying himself that we are on a path to a dictatorship, Chuck Schumer still won't commit to a government shutdown or doing anything at all. When asked about how House Democrats can resist fascism Hakeem Jeffries says the answer is more protest, more speeches and offers nothing else. The Charlie Kirk Memorial in Glendale, Arizona had Donald Trump feeling like dancing. Stephen Miller addresses the Kirk mourners with a Goebbels inspired speech. The patriots leaving the memorial left an incomprehensible amount of garbage throughout the streets of Glendale. All that and more. The Congress switchboard number is (202) 224-3121. The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Show (09/22/2025): 3:05pm- According to new data from CNN's Harry Enten, despite Donald Trump's personally low approval ratings, Republicans still possess massive polling advantages on three key issues: the economy, immigration, and crime. Enten joked that the Democrats have become the New Orlean Saints of political parties—which bodes poorly for the party's hopes of taking the House of Representatives and/or Senate in 2026. 3:10pm- On Sunday, Republican Jack Ciattarelli and Democrat Mikie Sherrill held their first NJ Gubernatorial debate at Rider University. During one notable moment, Sherrill refused to pledge that she wouldn't raise taxes on New Jersey citizens. One new poll now has Ciattarelli leading by 1-point. 3:30pm- During Sunday's debate, Mikie Sherrill attempted to explain why she voted in favor of a bipartisan House resolution honoring the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk—but publicly denounced Kirk, lying about his past comments and baselessly claiming he wanted to” roll back the rights of women and Black people.” Sherrill was unable to answer when confronted with her inconsistencies and falsehoods. 3:40pm- On Sunday, a memorial service for Charlie Kirk was held in Glendale, Arizona—with 73,000 inside of State Farm Stadium and an estimated 200,000 people in total showing up to the event. In a powerful moment during the ceremony, Erika Kirk said she forgives her husband's accused killer. 3:50pm- During her Monday briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that President Donald Trump plans to sign an Executive Order designating Antifa as a terrorist organization. 4:05pm- Kimmel is Back: Last week, ABC/Disney indefinitely suspended “Jimmy Kimmel Live”—following Kimmel's comments on the killing of Charlie Kirk. The late-night host shamefully accused Republicans of using the death to “score political points.” While the network's move appeared to be a result of Kimmel's comments coupled with poor ratings, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr suggested his department could potentially investigate ABC/Disney over Kimmel's vitriolic remarks—muddying the waters. Many expressed concern that Carr's warning amounted to a First Amendment violation. ABC/Disney is now announcing that the suspension has concluded, and Kimmel will be back on-air Tuesday night. Rich notes that if Carr had not opened his mouth and baselessly threatened ABC/Disney, Kimmel's show would have likely ended permanently. Did Carr inadvertently save Kimmel's career? 4:20pm- Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked President Trump: “If you could eat only one thing for a week, what would it be?” Trump responded, “probably steak.” 4:40pm- Joe Gruters—Chairman of the Republican National Committee—joins The Rich Zeoli Show for his first interview since becoming RNC Chair last month! He discusses his experience as a Florida State Senator, November's New Jersey gubernatorial election, and more. Chairman Gruters explains, “I'm committed to do whatever it takes to make sure we give the President a full four years [with a Republican-controlled House & Senate]” so “he continues to save the world.” 5:05pm- From the White House, President Donald Trump—alongside Health & Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary, & NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya—delivered remarks on Autism research which may link between acetaminophen usage during pregnancy to the condition. 5:30pm- Matt Rooney— Founder of SaveJersey.com, State Director of the America First Policy Institute of New Jersey, & host of The Matt Rooney Show on 1210 WPHT (Saturday's 7pm to 10pm)—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to recap Sunday night's NJ gubernatorial debate between Republican Jack Ciattarelli and Democrat Mikie Sherrill. 5:55pm- Tom Azelby hosts the 6pm Hour of The Rich Zeoli Show!

A memorial for Charlie Kirk was held in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday. “Crossroads” host Joshua Philipp attended the commemoration and shares his thoughts. In the wake of Kirk's assassination, another type of movement is starting. The attacks against conservatives, the politicized use of labels like “fascist” to describe Trump supporters, and even the way the legacy media has framed people using these labels for more than a decade—such phenomena are now turning around. In addition, President Donald Trump has announced that he will designate Antifa as a major terrorist organization. Jimmy Kimmel's commentary surrounding the assassination of Charlie Kirk was disturbing and inaccurate, but quite frankly not surprising. What was a surprise, however, was the outpouring of love and honor that many A list celebrities and social media influencers have shown in the days following Kirk's death on Sept. 10. “I disagreed with him on almost every point I ever heard him say, but I believe he was a man of faith,” actress Jamie Lee Curtis said of Kirk on the “WTF” podcast while choking back tears. “And I hope in that moment when he died that he felt connected to his faith.” Actor Chris Pratt shared a video prayer and then encouraged his followers to stop scrolling and instead get outside or call a friend. Singer Justin Bieber wrote about a spiritual battle for the mind in a post on Instagram after Kirk passed. Jeffree Star, social media influencer and creator of Jeffree Star Cosmetics was streaming live on social media when he found out Kirk had been shot. Immediately he condemned the shooting and spoke out in support of free speech. When Star received criticism from some of his followers for condemning the assassination, he was quick to respond. “Because I'm standing up for someone that passed away, I'm now being called names in the chat. This is what's wrong with a lot of you people. You will never get far in life. You are sick in the head,” Star shot back. Some who have spoken out in celebration of Kirk's death, or made highly controversial comments over the tragedy, have lost their jobs as a result. Charlie Rock, Carolina Panthers NFL communications staffer, lost his job for a social media post he made after Kirk's death. “Why are y'all sad? Your man said it was worth it,” Rock said. American Airlines fired a pilot who reportedly wrote on social media: “Well hey Charlie. Sorry you got shot in your fat f—— forehead. It was just the cost of our liberty. ‘Thoughts and prayers.'” And now, most notably, ABC suspended Kimmel's late-night show after the comedian made light of Kirk's assassination and inaccurately joked that the shooter was “MAGA.” “The MAGA gang (is) desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said. Unlike Kimmel, the vast majority of Americans, including many celebrities, recognize that Kirk's assassination was evil and a dark moment in American history. This Sunday, tens of thousands of Americans will gather at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., for Kirk's memorial service and thousands more are expected to stream the ceremony live on Kirk's Rumble. Speakers at the memorial include President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. The House passed a resolution to honor Charlie Kirk last week, just one week after his assassination shocked the nation. Later today, President Donald Trump, members of his Cabinet, and several members of Congress will attend a memorial event for Kirk at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The murder that took place in front of thousands at Utah Valley University has put the spotlight on political rhetoric and how it could change how lawmakers campaign and engage with the people. North Carolina Republican Congressman Brad Knott joins the Rundown to discuss Charlie Kirk's legacy, how leaders should address the threat of political violence, and why lawmakers are on high alert.
