When you try to be great at everything, you end up being great at nothing. When it comes to your goals and your life you need to figure out what you want and prioritize accordingly. In this episode I go into why balance is BS and what you should do instead.
Your training doesn't change regardless of your phase. Dieting- train hard. Growing- train hard. Learn more about the importance of training and muscle on this episode of Iron Impact.
Trying to tone your muscles is like having one foot on the gas and the other on the brake. You can push as hard as you can, but you’re gonna get nowhereYou can’t tone a muscle, and anyone who tries to tell you that you can, has zero clue what they’re talking about.Having that “toned” look is having more muscle and less body fat. You don’t get “toned” but lifting light weights for high reps, eating clean, and doing a ton of cardio. You get “toned” by trying to get strong AF, lifting heavy, training hard, and pushing yourself further and further every dayIf you’re afraid of getting too big and too bulky, you’re never going to get that physique you want. Sorry. Not sorry. Follow me on IG @meganashleyfitnessLearn more about coaching here

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know. I think, especially now, it is easy to sit there and compare your day one to someone's day 500, but honestly we all have a day one, we all start somewhere, and we all restart a hundred times before we continue. I used to be clueless, I did so many "right"things for years that did nothing to help me reach my goals. I held myself back, I limited myself, and I was afraid of doing what I really needed to do. The more I learn now, the more I realize I have no clue what I am doing, but the more mistakes I continue to make, the better I become. I know so many of you can relate. Macros and energy balanceUnderstanding both sides of the equation are important when it comes to making progress towards your goalMost people pay too much attention to one side, but forget the other. In episode 10 I go deeper into some of the things you can measure and pay attention to, to get real time feedback as to how your body is is doing. It depends. One of the most frustrating answers to hear, but the most truthful ones. Everything you do is for a reason, and everything you do depends on everything else you're doing. Context matters when it comes to your macros, training, cardio, and what you should be doing, how you do it and why you do it.IG @meganashleyfitnessCoaching
Too many people focus on the wrong things. They put there energy and effort into caring more about the results, more about supplements, and less about what they need to be doing to see results. Here's my top things you should pay more attention to when it comes to your fitness goals.Follow me on IG @meganashleyfitnessFor coaching inquiries click here
Your life is your responsibility Your goals are your responsibility No one can do the work for you Stop letting outside circumstances dictate your life and decisions It’s your responsibility to set yourself up for success and to make the choices that align with your goals Stop letting things happen to you and take control, take charge and start making things happen. You must take responsibility of what you want and be willing to do what it takes to get there. No one is doing the work for youFollow me on IG @meganashleyfitnessLearn more about coaching here
If there was one universal rule to life, I think it would be this, own your decisionsIf you’re going to do something, do it, own it. Stop doing things and then waking up the next day feeling guilty or ashamedStop defending things you don’t need to, stop explaining yourself to people who don’t deserve explanations, stop downplaying your decisionsWhat makes you happy? What do you prioritize? What is best for you? What is right for you, may not be right for someone else. What is right at one moment, may not be right at another, but one thing is for certain, if you’re going to do something, own it.Follow me on IG @meganashleyfitnessLearn more about coaching here
Your perspective matters. Are you negative or positive? Do you struggle with all or nothing thinking? Do you have the ability to adapt and overcome challenges? How do you manage stress? All of these matter when it comes to reaching your goals, living your life, and being the best version of you. Follow me on IG @meganashleyfitnessI love hearing your feedback, comments, and thoughts.
