Lisa believes the best gift we can give to ourselves and each other is our presence, and that we become more present and available through healing our personal trauma. Lisa has always been curious, spending her life in self-exploration and seeking to understand human behavior. With the creation of One Breath Institute, Lisa brings forth her vision for how we can heal through introspective practices, guided by the breath. Breath has been at the foundation of her personal and professional work from the beginning; once she discovered conscious connected breathwork, she discovered how all-encompassing the breath is. It is the piece that brings the entire puzzle together--as we return to wholeness many other practices support our healing journey. Weaving together these pieces led to the establishment of Introspective Breathwork™, the core of what we teach. A new massage therapist has a client who presents some special challenges: she has chronic pain, uses a lot of medications to manage it, wants deep work, and no matter what the MT does, the client seems to want more. The MT feels out of their depth and at a loss for how to help this client improve. In this special episode we talk about those feelings of inadequacy with our clients who seem to be especially demanding, and what we can do to help ourselves stay present and positively engaged. In 1977, when Gail's deceased son Christopher was an infant, she discovered that Massage was good for infants and toddlers.  This is also when she began the search for her first-born.  Massage as a profession stayed on her mind from that time until she became a Certified Massage Therapist in 1997.  Today, after having worked at Spas, Chiropractic offices and as an Instructor of Massage Therapy core curriculum, she is still working in the field of Massage Therapy with a steady clientele at her home studio.  Gail as a 15-year old birth mother in 1967, she chose to relinquish him to adoption rather than have him grow up, in what she considered, a dysfunctional family. She prayed to God that someone would adopt him and give him everything he wanted and needed.  When Gail found Drew Berry in 2003, she discovered that God had indeed answered her prayers. Drew had been adopted by a Public School Teacher and his wife, a Nurse who could not have children.  He became their first child. Drew has a blended family of a wife, 6 children, 1 grandson and twin grandchildren on the way. He and his wife just finished building a house in an affluent area of Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas.  Gail and Drew cherish each other as family and she loves him so much. They are in regular contact with each other. We are talking today with Heather about The Sun as a healing modality. She explains in deep the importance to Sun exposure to live a healthy life. The sun emits different light frequencies (spectrums) throughout the day. Each spectrum has a very different yet exceptionally crucial impact on your physiology and biology. There are 7 main frequencies contained in sunlight and these range from 260nm to around 800nm. Each one of these frequencies, and their sub-frequencies, are what allow your mitochondria and circadian clock systems to function at optimal capacity. To help people Heather utilizes the healing power sunlight offers, she has created The Sunlight Rx. The Sunlight Rx teaches you how to use hybrid tanning so your mitochondria, biology and physiology function optimally. By doing so, you will reduce your risk of all infectious and chronic disease exponentially. She mentions to all her clients and Sunlight Rx members that this is actually a case when more is better - the more you practice The Sunlight Rx, the more beneficial health transformations you will see. Please find her at:IG: sunlight_rxThe Primal Pioneer Podcastwww.heatharshepard.comwww.studyclassicalhomeopathy.comIf you want to connect and know more about me and my podcast: Leap of Healthyou can find me at :www.alexbalgood.comFacebook @AlxBalgood and @leapofhealthwithalexbalgoodInstagram @AlexbalgoodYoutube @AlexBalgoodBuy on Amazon Book: Parents, Our Greatest Teachers by Alex Balgood available on paper bag & kindle version and Barnes and Noble Books#alexbalgood, #alwaysmoving, #author, #creatingwealth, #gutbrain, #healer, #healeverything, #healing, #intuition, #intuitivehealing, #leapofhealthpodcast #healthyli, #livingmybestlife #quantumhealing, #nutrition, #nutritioncoach #massagetherapy, #nutritionistlife, #airquality, #FeldenkraisMethod, #healingslowly, #functionalmedicine, #fertility, #sunlighttherapy, #Circadianrhythm, #healingelements

If there was one thing you think society should talk more about, what would it be?"I wish society would talk more about menopause and how it's a time where women can take their power back"___________If you were a teenager in the 90's, you'll remember today's guest as fondly & I do. Every month, I would eagerly await the arrival of the latest Dolly or Cleo magazine - the teenagers fix of where we got schooled on all ‘the things' we needed to know - navigating our way as our bodies changed & boys started commusing our thoughts. You must remember - no google or social media for life lessons in those days!! And the gorgeously natural, shiny faced model that I remember most from magazine covers in those times was the stunning, Alison Brahe. Alison Brahe-Daddo burst on the Australian modeling scene as a 16 year old in the mid-80's and her career journey has traveled through roles in education, charities, podcasting and writing.Ali has just launched her first book, QUEEN MENOPAUSE – a frank, compassionate and comprehensive companion for any woman experiencing menopause (& perhaps their partners, as you'll hear!). Ali also co-hosts a very successful podcast with her husband of 31 years, the equally iconic star of my upbringing, Cameron Daddo. In their podcast “Separate Bathrooms”, they interview some of the most interesting couples in Australia as they take a look behind the closed doors of their relationships. It's a great listen! Ali has had a fascinating life & career - after modeling & being the ‘face' for such high profile brands of the time like Portmans, Cover Girl makeup, Nivea, Blackmores, Brian Rochford and JaquieE, she moved into television with her own childrens shows before emigrating to the US in 1991 with her new husband and giving acting a go. But this was not  Ali's passion… teaching children/ taking care of children and indeed, having her own children were her heart's desire and she took a break from the entertainment scene. Teaching was calling Ali and she embarked upon years of study, including the Bodyfulmind Institute where she headed up the Pregnancy Program; she received her degree in Massage Therapy in 1999 and in 2013, she achieved her teaching degree from UCLA in Early Childhood. Her passion for teaching and working with children has continued and after moving back to Australia in 2017, Ali teaches first graders locally in Sydney's Northern Beaches as well as being a patron of RizeUp Australia, a charity that assist domestic abuse families.I was super nervous before this interview (what's that saying about meeting your idols!), but it instantly felt like I was catching up with one of my old mates I hadn't seen in a while. As you'll no doubt hear, Ali is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. I loved this conversation with Ali on such an important topic that is affecting 50% of the worlds population! For more information about Ali, check out these places;-New Book: Queen MenopausePodcast: Separate BathroomsInstagram: @alidaddoLinkedin: Alison Brahe-DaddoHead to michellejcox.com for more information about the ONE QUESTION podcast, your host or today's guestsConnect with Michelle on Instagram here:- @michellejcoxConnect with Michelle on Facebook here - @michellejcox

That's why she gets out hiking in mountains as often as possible to recharge her mind, body and soul.  Jan has a studio in downtown Downers Grove, Illinois where she practices EFT (Tapping), Eden Energy Medicine, Feng Shui and Massage Therapy. Her intention is to assist and teach others how good life can be when our emotions are regulated, our energy systems are balanced and to release what is not creating happiness and joy. By using a variety of energy healing methods, Jan helps her clients live their best life.  Jan is a Leader for a nationwide women's networking group called Women Entrepreneurs Secrets of Success. How the Outside Makes the Inside Better Through conversations with female business owners, we explore the benefits of time spent outside to maintain life balance. The time outside and activity may differ in each conversation, but we delve into the subject to find the commonality that drives us all.  As a business owner, I find myself outside to balance the challenges of every day.   August 17th, 2022 7:00 pm PST Submit Questions  hello@discoverrisingtides.com  or call in live during the show 1-323-580-5755 Podcast page: https://discoverrisingtides.com/offerings

Julie has been practicing Massage Therapy since before she was old enough to have a license! More than half of her life has been spent taking care of others and at a certain point she realized that she had never really learned to take care of herself. Through a lot of self discovery, Julie recognized what might be missing for Massage Therapists in their training and what the term “self care” truly means. Now as a Massage Therapy educator in BC, Julie wants to be sure that therapists truly understand how to communicate with their patients, how to deal with certain situations, and how to be sure that they aren't burning out mentally, physically, or emotionally before it's too late. A person has chronic upper back pain and severe problems with her aorta, requiring surgery that she didn't survive. Afterwards, her surgeon suggests that her back pain could be a referral from her aorta. How often do internal organs refer pain to the skin and musculature? And how do we recognize it when it happens? What is the mechanism? And can it ever happen in reverse, e.g., can skeletal muscle refer pain to internal organs? Join us for a short exploration of pain and referred pain—that will probably raise more questions than answers.
