There's something deeply uncomfortable about realizing how much of the fitness and wellness industry runs on confidence, not competence.In this episode, I'm talking about what the Jeffrey Epstein files revealed - not just about specific individuals, but about how authority actually works in elite wellness circles. Because this problem goes beyond just one person. It's about how proximity to power, wealth, and status can instantly elevate someone's credibility, regardless of whether their expertise has truly been earned. In today's episode I'm talking specifically about longevity physician Peter Attia and why his name appearing in the Epstein files sparked so much conversation. Although his name appearing nearly 2,000 times in the files doesn't necessarily prove wrongdoing (although saying you get Jeffrey Epstein “withdrawals” is certainly sus to me), it definitely exposes something bigger: how much trust we're placing in people simply because they're moving in elite circles, speaking with certainty, and being perceived as insiders.And this is where it's hitting home for moms.Because the same forces are playing out on Instagram, TikTok, Substack, and your favorite podcasts every single day.The wellness industry has mastered the art of making you feel like certain people know more than you.
