Episode 2: Dan starts off by explaining the difference between redemption and forgiveness and talks about how you can get “closer to God.”
Episode 1: Dan answers the question “Is God disappointed with you?”
Dan talks how much “The Chosen” has impacted his life, and how the entire series is so well done.
Episode 2: The importance of a “radical call to grace” and how Gospel Zero serves as a bridge connecting the timeless truth of the gospel from the birth of the church to today.
Episode 1: Gospel Zero is a collaborative work by Andrew Farley and John Lynch. The creative genius of these two writers has given us an interpretive glimpse of what modern day letters apostles might write to today's church. Does God's grace need to be balanced? Is there a place for “spiritual disciplines?”
Episode 3: Rick and Steve establish that the rhema word of God is not only the bible, but also the words He speaks to us individually. John 3:33-34: He who has received His testimony has set his seal to this, that God is true. For He whom God has sent speaks the Words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.
Episode 2: In the beginning was the Word (John 1:1) and this Word was fully God and Jesus existed in the beginning. It is true that this Word is Christ but at the same time God's words were the Bible. Rick and Steve talk about the difference and the sameness of His Word.
Episode 1: Rick And Steve discuss the meaning of the words “logos” and “rhema” as they relate to the words of God.
Episode 3: Our discussion flows into Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” Is that verse is taken out of context to get people to believe in Christ?
Episode 2: Steve and Rick discuss the plausibility of the back stories, and what Steve wished they had done differently.
Episode 1: Rick and Steve begin a discussion on how the TV Show The Chosen has impacted Steve's life. How does the quality compare to other Christian productions?
Part 3: In this audio only episode Rick and Tony go over how patriarchy shuts down half the population, and adds to the difficulty of finding solutions to distractions because half the voices are not heard.
Part 2: In this episode Rick and Tony talk about how to find balance in our lives, family and with God in the distractions that came at us from all sides.
Part 1: Rick and Tony discuss some of the major distractions we experience in our lives.
Episode 3: Rick and Joel talk about the difference between being passionate or dogmatic about the message of Grace.
Episode 2: Rick and Joel discuss how when Christians are presented with this message of Grace, do they identify with a belief system more than a truth?
Episode 1: Joel Brueseke talks with Rick about the difference between the two covenants.
Studying scripture doesn't require deep dives into academic papers. There are plenty of publications that are written to help you discover who you are in Christ. Today we discuss some of them.
Rick and Larry talk about the importance of clarity about what “inerrant” means in the context of scripture. The Word of God (Jesus) is inerrant, and the original manuscripts are without error. God insured that what the original writer used the words God gave them.
In this week's episode of In Real Time Rick has a deep conversation with Larry Eiss on the process of the difficulties of translating scripture. It begins with Romans 8:1 with a discussion on how some translations have different endings of this verse. While scripture remains inerrant there are many variances.
Hebrews 10:25: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Often when we meet with other believers one of the first questions we get asked is “where do you go to church?” It seems rather innocuous, but this question, has 4 purposes I want to explore.
In this episode Rick reveals the works-based approach the Four Spiritual Laws advocate in their approach to the gospel. In all the accounts in the New Testament Jesus never requires someone to confess or repent as a condition for salvation. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/realtimewithrickfry/support
In this episode of In Real Time Rick asks why we continue to pray a prayer that has been answered. He goes through each phrase of the prayer and discover Jesus answered the entire prayer at the Cross. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/realtimewithrickfry/support
In this episode of In Real Time I want to bring some clarity to the verse 1 John 1:9. This was not directed to the believers in Ephesus, but to the non-believers called Gnostics. This verse is being misused if we, as Christians, are taught to confess sins that are already forgiven. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/realtimewithrickfry/support

In episode three Rick and Steve unpack Romans 8:1-4: “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. But the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh; so that the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” 1. When does the no condemnation take effect? 2. What is the law of sin and death? 3. What is the Law of Spirit of life? 4. What does it mean to not walk according to the flesh? --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/realtimewithrickfry/support
In episode two Rick and Steve go into some detail about 2 Corinthians 5:19: “whereas God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and putting the word of reconciliation in us.” Does “not imputing their trespasses to them” mean all of our sins? --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/realtimewithrickfry/support
In episode one Rick and Steve discuss 2 Corinthians 5:17-18: “So that if any one is in Christ, that one is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation,” asking the questions: 1. What does it mean to be a new creation? 2. What is a ministry of reconciliation? --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/realtimewithrickfry/support

This week on “In Real Time” Rick talks about the teaching that as a new creation in Christ we can be a saint and sinner simultaneously. I don't believe this to be true. I believe we are one hundred percent forgiven, perfected, and a brand-new creation in Christ. That is our identity. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/realtimewithrickfry/support
In today's episode Rick and Dan talk about confrontation. Dan believes confrontation is rooted in the belief in your greatness, and that confrontation requires someone that believes in me more than I believe in myself. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/realtimewithrickfry/support
Today we look at Ephesians 2 and discuss how grace is the free gift from God and no one can earn it by works. Forgiveness is God's free gift as well. Rick and Jeremy discuss how the modern church has emphasized morality over relationship with God. Religion teaches that we have the right to hold onto past hurts and demand justice over forgiveness. Forgiveness may be extended, but trust must be reestablished through this process. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/realtimewithrickfry/support
Jeremy talks about his own journey to freedom from the idea of being saved just to a get ticket to heaven and moving into the understanding that God desires a relationship with us. Rick's guest today is Charles Castillo. He tells us how he came to Christ and felt God had called him to be a pastor.
