Daniela and I sit down and read an article of the top 10 reasons why couples get divorced and discuss each one. This was fun because we could really see why on each one of them it could be prevented if caught early on. If you want to avoid divorce you have to actively work on your relationship, otherwise you could join the statistic too.
Juan comes on for another appearance to discuss what he has been up too, his mentality shift and his recent Ayahuasca journey. We have some Termana Tequila and agua frescas as we hang out and talk. Shout out to Fade Away Barbershop In Plant City FL for hooking up the Teremana Tequila for Juan and I. Both of us get our haircuts there and they are awesome. It's a super clean, friendly environment and getting a nice haircut is so much more than just a haircut. And they take walk ins, so no need for an appointment.
Daniela and I go over the way that we believe couples should handle their money and how if a couple handles their money a certain way can be beneficial for the future. Financial issues are one of the top causes of divorce and are a sign of problems that exist already or potential problems to come in the future. We go over our best advice for couples and their finances as well as some of our money beliefs.
Daniela and I go over the different red flags to be on the lookout for in a new relationship. These are things that we believe should be avoided because they are early signs of a rocky future. We go over green flags as well and just have fun going over the different ones. If you have any future topics you want us to cover, please comment, or go to the podcast instagram somehowwereadults and send me a message. Comment what red flags you look out for in new relationships.
Daniela and I go over how scheduling things on a shared calendar has made our relationship together better as well as how it improved us personally. It feels like a life hack because before you know it you feel like you have control of your time instead of time having control of you. The calendar that we mention that we use is the Google Calendar if you wanted to use that but whatever you use it has to be convenient or you won't use it. If you want to see us cover another topic for the podcast, let us know! Reach out via social media and send us a message!
Daniela and I sit down to discuss how we both are 100% committed to making our relationship work. We don't have any back up plans and we both give our relationship time and effort. Only one plan and we fully intend to make that one plan work. We go over how this has helped us to stay focused and dedicated to our relationship. If you want to see us cover another topic for the podcast, let us know! Reach out via the instagram page Somehow We're Adults or leave us a comment.
Daniela and I sit down and go over how having regular date nights has been a huge factor in our increasingly busy lives. It seems like you always have so many things to do, as adults, that if you don't focus on intentional date nights that time could pass quicker than you realize and you could grow distant in your relationship. That is why date nights are so important.
Daniela and I sit down to discuss how various hobbies that are separate of each other are important as well as having hobbies that we do together. We go over how they can affect our relationship and our happiness.
Cari and Jake come on the podcast to have some drinks (thanks to Fade Away Barbershop) and chat. Cari tells her story of how she ended up in a wheel chair and how it has impacted her life. Jake, who has been on the podcast before, tells us about how he doesn't know who his parents are from when he went to the social security office. All in all, we had a great time, very many laughs and I learned a lot. If you have been getting any okay looking haircuts and are ready for the best haircut, make sure you check out the podcast sponsor, Fade Away Barbershop. That is where I get my haircut, and I can't recommend them enough. We had our drinks provided to us for this episode of the podcast by Fade Away Barber shop in Plant City. They just recently started providing the drinks for the podcast and we are super great full for that. If you are tired of how your haircuts have been and are looking for a new barbershop, look no further. https://instagram.com/fade.awaybarbershop?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== to check out the barbershops instagram. Daniela and I sit down to start the first episode of our couples podcast. What we will be doing is each week her and I pick a subject and try to talk for around 30 mins with that being our focus. We have been together now for over 7 years and we are a younger couple with older souls. We don't claim to be experts but we talk about the things that have helped us. So each week we will pick a subject to talk about and give our perspectives. This is the first of many so enjoy!
The Delong's come on the podcast to have a date night, hangout, have drinks and record a podcast. Steve is a buddy and amazing pop art artist who sells his art at various art shows. Check him out on instagram at Delong Pop Art. Having them on, having drinks was a great time and we did drink a little to much so we had to cut the podcast a little shorter but we really enjoyed having them on. They are great people and have quickly become friends.
Wyatt and Kodey come on for drinks and to hangout. We aren't able to hangout like we used to due to work schedules and life commitments but when we get together it's always a good time. The older that we have gotten the more we value moments like this to come together and just be silly. We had our drinks provided to us for this episode of the podcast by Fade Away Barber shop in Plant City. They just recently started providing the drinks for the podcast and we are super great full for that. Ryan is a friend whom I've always seemed to have good discussions with and whom has his degree in philosophy. He is a great dude, a husband, and a father. Ryan worked in politics for a while and even helped with a very prominent political campaign that we talk about in the episode. We talk about history, the dark web and much much more. Ryan was a great guest and will for sure be on again in the future.
Hannah is off the grid and has no social media which I believe is impressive. She is currently a jiu jitsu purple belt from a recent promotion and she also works in the financial field. When she was in college she was on the women's rowing team and she beats me up in jiu jitsu. This is her first time on the podcast to talk about a range of subjects and we had a great time. She's an all around badass.
Jake is a good buddy, who I've known for most of high school and since. He has had a very interesting up bringing and maintains a very good outlook on it and has always been a fun hang out. Jake has a dark since of humor and as do I so it's always a good time.
United States Marine Corps Veteran, currently in the National Guard, former corrections officer, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor and competitor. Andrew has done a lot of things for his time on earth and he comes on the podcast to try and share his more of his story. This is Andrew's second appearance on the podcast and on this podcast he goes over dive school and working in the commercial diving industry as well as some other things. It is very easy for Andrew and I to talk for 3+ hours so I'm sure we will do this again in the near future.
Apex and Juan come on for drinks and to hangout and talk. Apex and Juan have been friends for a long time and all three of us went to school together through most of our schooling. Both Juan and Adrian are business owners who are focused on building their businesses and themselves personally. Juan is a roofer as well as owner of Juan More Drink and Rosales Dump Trailers. Apex owns and operates Fade Away Barbershop in Plant City FL and has been cutting hair for most of his adult and teenage life. Links to their business instagrams below. My buddies wanted to hangout and have some drinks and I offered the podcast for this since it is often the best place to just sit and enjoy each others company. It's always a good time chatting with your buddies and we always seem to laugh. Both of these guys have been my friends since early high school where we used to spend the night at each others houses and created a lot of great memories of being dumb then (not much has changed). No one knows you like your boys and we always have a great time when we meet up. Times like these are what makes being an adult truly worth it.
Full episode link is available on Patreon when you subscribe to any one of the 3 levels. For $3, $6, or $9 a month you can see all of the podcasts with them that stop at the 20 minute mark. We don't do anything special but we have some drinks and hang out and shoot the breeze. These are my best friends and it's so fun every time we get together and enjoy each others company. And you never know what we will talk about. Link to the Patreon to subscribe https://www.patreon.com/somehowwereadults?utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator
Dylan comes on to go over how our fantasy champion picks are doing as well as the upcoming fights and what we believe will happen. We drop 4 or our picks each and trade them out for new people and keep the 16 others in hopes that one of us has more champions at the beginning of 2024 than the other. Loser has to wear whatever the winner choices on the 2024 draft.
United States Marine Corps Veteran, currently in the National Guard, former corrections officer, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu purple belt and instructor. Andrew has done a lot of things for his time on earth and he comes on the podcast to try and share his life story. Andrew is an all around great dude and I tried my best to get his timeline of life together as well as to get as many of those stories along the way. It was a very long podcast and I'm sure he will be on in the future again to tell us even more because holy cow this dude has lived a life worthy of a book thus far.
Master Myers runs Freedom Martial Arts in Valrico FL. It is a martial arts school that teaches Taekwondo, Krav Maga, and Brazilian jujitsu. Nick has been doing martial arts for almost all of his life and it just made since for him. It would be his passion that lead him to open up his own school. Nick is great with teaching not only kids, but adults as well. The impact that martial arts have had on him made him want to share with anyone who is willing to learn.
Juan is a father of 3, ordained minister, and all around great guy. Juan has been a friend of mine for close to 4 years and ever since we first spoke we have had a great friendship. Juan is beyond wise in his relationships and he is someone to whom I look up to as a role model for relationships and parenting.
Rob is a jiu jitsu practitioner and former podcaster. Rob is into health and fitness as well as other martial arts. He was previously on the podcast and he comes back on for an update episode and to talk about a multitude of subjects. It was a good time to have him back on the mic in this crazy busy world of adulthood.
MMA fighter, Brazilian jiu jitsu blue belt, and all around good dude. James comes on and talks about his upcoming fights, his past fights, what his training is like preparing for fights as well as how he feels after fighting. We talk about how he got into fighting and how it became what it is now.
Dylan and I to start off the 2023 year pick who we will think the UFC champs will be at the beginning of 2024. We each switched back and forth on our picks and once someone was picked the other person could no longer get them. This will be scored at the beginning of 2024 by who has the most current champs. Try and pick who you think between the two of us will win at the end of 2024 and check out what the loser will have to do as well.
Jacob who was on a previous episode with Thomas and Ronnie comes on for his own episode where him, Colton and I have some drinks and have a great conversation with plenty of fun. Jacob is a wonderful friend and is always a good time to talk with. Hope you enjoy our conversation.
Kodey and Wyatt come on for drinks and to talk about whatever comes up. As usual it was a good time hanging out with the buds and having some drinks while sharing laughs. If you want to watch the full episode, subscribe to the Patreon for as little as $3 to help support the podcast and see more of these fun episodes with Kodey and Wyatt. https://www.patreon.com/somehowwereadults?utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator
Dylan comes on for a podcast that isn't just UFC talk (but has some towards the end). We talk about motivation, life, philosophy, and what Dylan has been up to.
Kodey comes on for a shorter podcast. Kodey and I talk about more serious things like the future of the housing market. Kodey and I wanted to have a more serious podcast where we discussed things that I guess adults worry about. This is not a drinking podcast like previous episodes but you can expect more of those in the future.
The guys come on and we talk about a variety of topics from the potential mass shooting that was stopped by someone concealed carrying to mens mental health and what it's like to have a good group of friends to support each other during hard times.
Dylan comes on and we discuss past fights and future fights. We also talk about the bets we made and what happened with those and did some betting for some fights that hadn't happened yet.
This episode of the podcast, Kodey and Wyatt come on for their regular episode and we have some drinks and talk about what it was like wearing dresses out to dinner as well as everything in between.
