When pride gets in the way, we turn from serving each other to competing with one another. Being a servant is not what comes naturally to us, but it's how Jesus' kingdom works.
Grace is hard because grace isn't fair. It's giving someone something that they don't deserve. No one deserves grace but God gives it so generously and freely that it moves us to reflect that generosity of grace in our own lives.
Have you ever thought about what kind of legacy you're leaving your children when it comes to their relationship with Jesus?
Family is important to God and central to the Bible's message. He designed and blessed family at the beginning of creation and He has placed every one of us into a family. And yet, not one single family throughout all of history has been a “perfect family.” Sin has made that impossible. Every family is dysfunctional in its own special way.
