June 14, 2026 | Romans 8:28-30 | Allen Cantrell
What a way to kick off the Mid-Year Retreat! Pastor Nelson brought a message on salvation that cut deep and lifted high at the same time. Before we ever knew we needed saving, God already had a plan. Salvation is not man reaching up to God. It is God reaching down to us, drawing us, revealing our need, and making a way where there was none. The weight of sin is a debt no human effort could ever cancel. So God did what only He could do. He sent Christ as our Saviour, taking on what we owed so we could receive what we never deserved. Righteousness before God is not earned. It is granted through faith in Jesus, and everyone who believes and confesses Him as Lord receives the gift of salvation in full. That kind of grace does not stay silent. What we truly believe will always overflow into how we live and what we say. Believers carry the most important message in history, and we are called to proclaim it with boldness and without apology.Be stirred as you listen and share it with someone who needs to hear this today.
God has a plan for your life and His will for you is to have a personal relationship with him. How are you responding to God's call on your life?
God calls believers to deeper fellowship, obedient faith, complete surrender, and public witness.

Stan explores how God gives each person a unique calling, often revealed through moments that disrupt our comfort and redirect our lives. Like Nehemiah, we must be willing to leave what is familiar, respond to the burdens God places inn our hearts, and trust Him on a non-linear faith journey. Stepping into this calling requires prayer, courage and the willingness to face fears and overcome what holds us back.
What does it look like to answer the call of God? In this message from Jeremiah 1, we're reminded that God knows us, sets us apart, equips us, and calls us to serve Him with obedience and faithfulness. Whether God is leading you to salvation, spiritual growth, or a specific assignment in ministry, the question is simple: will you say yes?
Join us this week for the eleventh message in our series, "Make Room," with Pastors Nathan and Mary Johnson.
What kind of heart is God's servant supposed to have? Today as we study 1st Samuel 3, we'll read about God's call of Samuel and we'll look at how Samuel responds. Join us! DISCUSSION AND STUDY QUESTIONS: 1. What did we learn yesterday in our study of 1st Samuel 2, about Eli and his sons? How do you think that contributed to the spiritual condition of Israel during this time? 2. What was Samuel doing in verses 2 & 3? Why was he doing that? 3. Who spoke to Samuel in verse 4? Was this an audible voice? Why didn't Samuel recognize it? 4. What does Samuel say to the Lord in verse 9? What does this indicate about his attitude towards God? 5. In verses 11-14, what does the Lord tell Samuel He is going to do? Who was this judgment upon? Why? 6. How did Eli respond to this message when Samuel told him in verse 18? How would you have responded if this was God's message to you? 7. In verses 19 to 20, how did Samuel continue to serve the Lord? What did this confirm? 8. As we reflect upon Samuel's faith, how does his example show us the heart and actions we are to have before the Lord? Where does this come from? How can we grow in these? Christmas decorations make us see the world differently, through the eyes of children. During Advent, the stories we read in the Bible invite us into a new way of seeing as well. Today we are talking about the stories of Mary (in Luke) and Joseph (in Matthew). The inward vision of Mary: she responds to the personal call of God. She was open enough to hear the call of God. Then she was daring enough to say yes when God called. How open are we to hearing the call of God this Christmas season? Once we hear it, because God doesn't force it, we have the opportunity to say no. Are we daring enough to say yes when God calls? What is God calling you to this season? What about the new year? The outward vision of Joseph: his heart is changed to not leave Mary and the child. He stays. He heard the call of God and he bound his life to the lives of those who were vulnerable. Are we hearing the outward call of God? Do we have eyes to see and ears to hear it? Why do we exist as a church if not to make room for those who've been shut out? We exist to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. God calls each one of us individually, and all of us together as a community; are we listening? Today, Pastor Jack teaches that Samuel's ministry grew more and more powerful with time, and the more Samuel did, the more he was blessed.
Today, Pastor Jack teaches us that God's calling on our lives can be overwhelming and challenging. But, it will also be compelling, as we walk in faith and in harmony with scripture.
Today, Pastor Jack teaches that God can speak to us through dreams, but with all things, it must be examined before an open Bible. His call on our lives will come at the right time, but we need to listen and be still before Him.
Today, Pastor Jack teaches that God loves to talk to us, and if we have no message from God, we must get one. If we have no direction, we must find one, and if we feel no protection from Him, we must trust Him.
Today, Pastor Jack teaches that in order to know the call of God for our lives, we need to be still before Him, ready to listen. It's a personal thing. We can't really serve God without knowing Him personally.
Today, Pastor Jack teaches that even though Samuel was still a young boy, he was already in the temple ministering before the Lord. Samuel knew opportunities would arise, and he was ready with passion and enthusiasm for the things of God.
