Episode Description – Good To-Go with JenWhat happens when a professional chef trades the restaurant kitchen for the backcountry trail? In this episode of Trailblazing Texas Podcast, we sit down with Jen, the founder of Good To-Go, the brand redefining what it means to eat well in the wild. From her roots in the culinary world to the moment she realized hikers deserved more than just “fuel,” Jen takes us through the journey of turning bold flavors and real ingredients into lightweight, trail-ready meals. We talk first recipes (the wins and the rookie mistakes), the challenges of crafting meals that taste like home while surviving the backcountry, and why hikers keep coming back for more.Jen also opens up about staying connected with the hiking and thru-hiking community, surprising trail angels, supporting causes close to her heart, and constantly evolving her recipes to meet the needs of hikers everywhere. And of course, we peek ahead at what's next for Good To-Go, hear the message she'd leave pinned at a trailhead for future adventurers, and discover what she'd say to everyone who's believed in her journey so far.Whether you're a weekend backpacker or a thru-hiker chasing miles, this episode serves up inspiration, flavor, and the reminder that good food belongs on every trail.

In the fifth episode of "The Frugal Architect" podcast, Werner and co-host Simon Elisha welcome Morten Keldebaek (CTO) and Robert Hjertmann from Too Good To Go. Too Good To Go is the world's largest marketplace for surplus food, connecting consumers with restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores to rescue food that would otherwise go to waste. The discussion will start with their journey from Endomondo (a sports tracking app) to Too Good To Go, exploring how they applied frugal engineering principles across both startups. They'll dive deep into the technical challenges of scaling a global platform with limited resources, the architectural decisions that enabled their growth, and how their frugal mindset aligns perfectly with Too Good To Go's mission of reducing waste. The conversation will highlight how constraints breed creativity and how asking "why" before building has helped them create sustainable, scalable systems while keeping costs under control. Too Good To Go was founded in 2015 in Copenhagen by a group of young entrepreneurs who shared a dream of finding a solution to the huge amounts of food wasted by buffet restaurants in Denmark. In September 2016, Mette Lykke, a Danish entrepreneur and co-founder of the fitness community Endomondo, learned about the app while chatting with a stranger on a bus. Intrigued by the innovative idea, Lykke contacted the founders and in October 2016 quickly became an investor in the company, funding it and increasing its credibility. In spring 2017, inspired by Too Good To Go's mission, Mette assumed the role of CEO. Questo podcast e gli altri nostri contenuti sono gratuiti anche grazie a chi ci sostiene con Will Makers. RSAC 2025 is a wrap. The expo floor is closed, the conversations have ended, and the gear is packed — but the reflections are just beginning. Throughout the week, Sean Martin and Marco Ciappelli had powerful discussions around AI, identity, platform security, partnerships, the evolving legal and VC landscapes, and the growing importance of multi-layered defense strategies. But one moment stood out. While we were recording outside the conference, someone walking by asked us, “Is the world secure now?” Our answer was simple: “We're working on it.” That exchange captured the spirit of the entire event — security is not a destination, it's an ongoing effort. We learn, we adapt, and we move forward faster than the future is coming at us. Thank you to everyone who made RSAC 2025 such a meaningful experience. Next stops: AppSec Global in Barcelona, Infosec Europe in London, Black Hat and DEF CON in Las Vegas — and more conversations across the hybrid analog digital society we all share. Until next time, keep building, keep connecting, and keep moving forward. ___________Hosts:Sean Martin, Co-Founder at ITSPmagazine | Website: https://www.seanmartin.comMarco Ciappelli, Co-Founder at ITSPmagazine | Website: https://www.marcociappelli.com___________Episode SponsorsThreatLocker: https://itspm.ag/threatlocker-r974Akamai: https://itspm.ag/akamailbwcBlackCloak: https://itspm.ag/itspbcwebSandboxAQ: https://itspm.ag/sandboxaq-j2enArcher: https://itspm.ag/rsaarchwebDropzone AI: https://itspm.ag/dropzoneai-641ISACA: https://itspm.ag/isaca-96808ObjectFirst: https://itspm.ag/object-first-2gjlEdera: https://itspm.ag/edera-434868___________ResourcesLearn more and catch more stories from RSA Conference 2025 coverage: https://www.itspmagazine.com/rsa-conference-usa-2025-rsac-san-francisco-usa-cybersecurity-event-infosec-conference-coverage___________KEYWORDSsean martin, marco ciappelli, rsac 2025, quantum, ai, grc, devsecops, zero trust, appsec, resilience, event coverage, on location, conference___________Catch all of our event coverage: https://www.itspmagazine.com/technology-and-cybersecurity-conference-coverageWant to tell your Brand Story Briefing as part of our event coverage? Gold & Silver Good to Go Even as China Sags During the gold and silver rally of 2024 (isn't it fun that we can now phrase things like that given that it's amazingly already in the past?) one factor that kept the metals from rising even further was continued concern over economic weakness in China. Which in particular has left traders shorting silver and copper, and also weighing on gold as well. So in today's show, Vince Lanci starts off the new year with a look at what's happening in China, and how it will ultimately impact the metals. Collaboration is the new competition: that was French entrepreneur Lucie Basch's philosophy when she approached a group of Danish founders who happened to be working on a similar food waste reduction app. Before long, Lucie and her new co-founders joined forces to create Too Good To Go, an app that enables restaurants and grocery stores to sell leftover items in ‘surprise bags' at a significantly reduced price. Since launching in 2016, Too Good To Go has raised over $30 million dollars and has expanded to 17 countries, including the U.S.This week on How I Built This Lab, Lucie talks with Guy about her company's work to leverage the ‘horizontal power' of consumers to collectively chip away at global food waste.
