Turning your scars into stars does not mean glorifying trauma or performing resilience — it means metabolizing the nervous system adaptations born of early rupture so thoroughly that survival intelligence evolves into conscious illumination. A scar proves you endured injury; a star proves the injury no longer governs your perception, identity, or relational orbit. The true transformation occurs not when pain becomes your brand, but when your physiology no longer mistakes safety for threat, when ego no longer derives relevance from suffering, and when your presence — not your wound — becomes the organizing principle of your life.
Every marriage brings a past into the present. For many couples, that past includes experiences, expectations, wounds, or shame that quietly affect intimacy and connection today. Let's face it, everyone has some kind of family baggage. Whether it's strained relationships, complicated dynamics, or a full-blown drama series, it's normal not to come from a perfect situation. But when it comes to dating - especially early on - you might be wondering: How much do I share? And when?In this episode, we're talking about how to navigate family baggage in the dating world. From keeping it classy in the early stages to reframing your story in a way that feels honest but empowering, this is how to protect your privacy without hiding who you really are.
You know what that Labour and Green Party unity news conference at Waitangi today looked like to me? It looked like desperation. Parties don't generally get other parties to stand next to them and hold their hands in an election year just to convince people to vote for them. Now, having said that, it's obviously not the first time we've seen something similar from Labour and the Greens. You'll remember that before the 2017 election, Grant Robertson and James Shaw did a similar-ish thing. They released their Budget Responsibility Rules to try to convince us they could be trusted with the Government's finances. That was an act of desperation, because they'd been battered by Steven Joyce's 'fiscal hole' allegations for so long they had to do something. And just like in 2017, this is an act of desperation, because Chippy knows his biggest problem this time around -trying to get into Government - is convincing voters that his coalition mates are not just a bunch of nut jobs, but can actually be trusted to run the country together. Which is why he left the Māori Party out of that unity press conference - because that party is chaos on stilts. The trouble for Chippy, though, is that the Greens aren't exactly the picture of internal discipline, are they? What with Golriz the thief, Bussy the awkward parent, Darleen the questionable employer, the spate of staff resignations -and that's not even mentioning the electorally toxic plans to tax us all into poverty. Chippy is off the mark if he thinks this is going to solve things for him, because the truth is his only realistic path to Government this year is with Winston Peters. Winston has said he's not going to go with Chippy, but that is still Chippy's only way back into Government. And that's where Chippy should be putting his energy - schmoozing Winston until Winston changes his mind, because Winston changing his mind is not unheard of. But doing a news conference with the Greens seems not only like a waste of time, but actually an unfortunate reminder to us all that a Chippy-led Government comes with Green-coloured baggage. What is it about Jewish guilt that feels so heavy? Why is the concept of 'Jewish Guilt' so well known?. Guilt feels like an unwanted burden and although it may serve an important purpose, it's weight often pulls us down to unhealthy places. What is the purpose of guilt? How can it be used for our greater good? What is the true Jewish perspective on guilt? The answer to these questions will change some of your fundamental beliefs and offer a whole new understanding of what Jewish Guilt should really be. Soul Talk 15JAN2026 - PODCAST
The Christian life is often compared to running a race, but many believers are struggling to reach their spiritual destination because they're weighed down by baggage they were never meant to carry. This spiritual baggage manifests as unresolved hurt from past wounds, lingering shame from hidden seasons, deep disappointments when prayers seemed unanswered, and old coping patterns that become default responses to stress. These burdens aren't just emotional weights - they're spiritual territory that gives the enemy footholds in our lives, as Paul warns in Ephesians 4:26-27.Hebrews 12:1-3 provides the biblical framework for running light, distinguishing between things that hinder us and sins that entangle us. Both types of weight can be used by the enemy to slow us down and wear us out. This baggage affects our relationships, causing us to misinterpret encouragement as criticism and assume others will eventually hurt us. Often, anxiety stems from our struggle with control, trying to manage outcomes we were never meant to handle. Jesus offers a different way in Matthew 11:28-30, inviting the weary and burdened to come to Him for rest. He's not promising a life without burdens, but rather offering to trade yokes with us - to put His shoulders under our load so we can walk in His pace and strength. The practical solution involves a daily rhythm of naming our weights, owning our responses, inviting Jesus in, and surrendering outcomes to Him. This process requires community support and anchoring ourselves in Scripture, remembering that God wants to carry what we cannot.
this episode is for every woman who has ever said: “i've been doing this for years… so why don't i look like it?” Lets build you a life you don't need another diet for… with an uncomfy audit inside… We lovingly drag the difference between being busy and being productive. Sam and I walk through training and nutrition audits: how to know if you're under-training but over-exercising, burning your willpower on the wrong stuff, and what to simplify so 2026 finally stops feeling like Groundhog Day.we talk about moving from punishment to performance: fuelling for training, chasing strength PBs, and letting fat loss be a by-product instead of your whole personality. Especially powerful if you've never really felt what it's like to lift well-fuelled and strong.no more getting back on tracks.. no more falling offs in the first place. It's about expanding; your strength, your capacity, your confidence. Sam and I explore theme-based goals, approach-focused living (“what can I add?”), and why tracking the right things (training, steps, practice) matters more than obsessing over the scale. If you're craving a bigger, fuller life… we have your starting line in this episodeout with yoyo dieting, low calorie hell. out with feeling like you've been “on a diet” since forever and still don't have the body or life you want… bc its this perma-state-of-dieting that keeps women over 30 stucklinks:find me @transformxruby on instagramSam @coachsamforget apply for a free consult:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfqaxMDfbPYPYVui3BgSClnDXTj4BWjRvPkbBHuK5CP7SQsIw/viewform?usp=sf_link direct link to dm me on ig: https://ig.me/m/transformxrubymost women think they're stuck because they need a new program… but really? they're stuck because they keep bringing the same mindset into every “fresh start.” this episode goes straight for the belief systems that keep you looping: the fear of being a beginner, the identity you won't let go of, the invisible baggage that keeps weighing down every goal you set.we talk about why your training feels hard but isn't actually productive, the real reason you never look like you've been lifting for years, and what changes the second you finally fuel properly. the whole episode is a reality check on skill, intent, perma-dieting, identity-building, and learning to trust yourself again.this isn't an episode about motivation. it's about flipping the lens you see yourself through.two mini wins you'll walk away with:• a simple way to audit whether you're actually training close enough to failure• a 60-second self-check that reveals whether you're still living in old identity patternsif you want to come on the podcast and talk about your own journey or struggles, dm me. i love real chats.
Tactical Transition Tips Round 105 of the Transition Drill Podcast offers practical guidance and career readiness for veterans and first responders, organized based on how far out your exit is. In this episode, we focus on what we quiet carry from these careers. There's “stuff” most active-duty service members and first responders carry, but rarely name out loud: the baggage from these careers. The calls, deployments, injuries you pushed through, the leadership failures that still irritate you, the mistake you haven't fully forgiven yourself for, the burnout you've learned to function with. When an end date starts feeling real, that “stuff” doesn't disappear. It starts showing up in how you think, how you talk, and how you picture your future. This episode isn't about digging up the past for the sake of it. It's about separating emotion from information, so you can keep the lessons without letting the weight run your next chapter. Because whether you like it or not, your experience is already shaping what you'll do after the uniform. The question is whether you'll carry it intentionally, or let it quietly steer your decisions. Here's how we put it into practical steps based on where you are right now:• Close Range Group (transitioning within a year): Turn Your Hardest Experiences into Problem Solving Skills. Write out a few defining moments, separate what happened from what you learned, and turn those lessons into clear language you can use in interviews instead of oversharing or underselling yourself.• Medium Range Group (transitioning in 3 to 5 years): Build a purpose-driven project. Start a small, personal-aligned project (mentoring, teaching, writing, coaching, creating, a side venture) to test how your experience creates value outside the uniform and get real feedback before transition becomes urgent.• Long Range Group (transitioning in a decade or more): Write Your Career Story Now. Capture lessons, failures, and growth while details are still fresh, so your future leadership, promotions, and eventual interviews are built on a real record, not fuzzy memory. If you've been telling yourself “I'm good,” you might be. This is just making sure what you've carried becomes direction, not drag. Send us a textRHOP-Binders, Baggage, and Bad VibesRHOP S10 E13- Altitude with Attitude Podcast SummaryThis episode balances deep emotional moments with escalating tension as the ladies prepare for their Colorado trip.Tia visits her late father's former home with her sister Ameera and her twins, hoping to recreate a meaningful photo. During the visit, signs from her father feel almost too perfect—his birthday, June 11th, and a quote about praising performance over people—reminding Tia how deeply he wanted his children to remain close.Back in Potomac, Giselle and Ashley meet with Wendy, reliving the success of their Fourth of July party and questioning Angel's intentions ahead of the Colorado trip. Doubts linger about whether Angel genuinely wants friendship or is playing a longer game.Ashley hosts a “6 to 60” family celebration honoring Dean's sixth birthday and Uncle Lump's 60th, but the real emotional moment comes when Ashley opens up about her mother Sheila entering rehab for the first time. Ashley shares that this is something she's waited over two decades for, calling it a moment of healing and hope.Monique hosts her Sip & Read event, introducing her book Love Letters from a Past Version of Myself. She explains the book as part of her healing journey and creates an interactive exercise using binders where each woman writes how she sees herself—and how she sees others. What begins as reflective quickly turns messy.Wendy labels Kei as “fake,” Ashley shades Wendy in return, and Angel's binder entry for Ashley—calling her “disappointing” and accusing her of not walking in her truth—sets off a major conflict. Angel rips the page out, questions why Ashley would come to her home if she feels that way, and ultimately uninvites her from the Colorado trip. Giselle, standing firm in loyalty, says if Ashley isn't welcome, neither is she.The group attempts damage control, revisiting an earlier comment where Ashley implied Angel may have been evicted. Angel clarifies her lease simply ended early, and Ashley apologizes, which Angel accepts—though the tension lingers.Twelve hours later, the ladies arrive in Colorado, where Angel's hosting style raises eyebrows immediately. The group is split between two properties, cell service is nonexistent, altitude warnings are emphasized, and room assignments cause instant friction. Giselle refuses to share a twin-bed room with Ashley, Wendy is given an entire lower level, and whispers about Angel's housing situation resurface—prompting Angel to shut it down fast, making it clear she will not tolerate “toxic energy” on her property. The trip may have just begun, but the altitude isn't the only thing making it hard to breathe.Support the showhttps://www.wewinewhenever.com/

What if the work of 2025 isn't becoming more—but carrying less? In this episode, we unpack the baggage many of us bring into a new year without realizing it: other people's expectations, outdated narratives, unfinished conversations, and survival strategies we no longer need. This is a space for reflection, honesty, and permission—to rest, to redefine success, and to move forward lighter than before.

People are easily influenced by seen and unseen forces. Whatever or whoever you entertain and invite into your life will show up for the party! Most people are clueless to what they open themselves to! There are natural and supernatural forces always at work, if you're not intune with God or yourself, you can fall prey! That's why it's important people learn to never entertain negativity, especially negative thoughts, because as long as you keep thinking of them, they influence your feelings, and actions! No matter who or what contributed to how you think about yourself and life; you're responsible and accountable for who you become and for what you do! Consumer NZ says travellers could struggle to get a refund - after revelations two Jetstar baggage scales at Wellington Airport may not have been accurate. Checks after a complaint in September, revealed the portable scales were uneven and below approval standards. Jetstar's been told to pull them out until they're re-verified. Consumer NZ Advocacy Head, Jessica Walker, says if Jetstar charged too much, people could be entitled to repayment. "If they can prove that they were overcharged, then that would be ideal. But the fact that Jetstar is saying that people weren't overcharged absolutely makes this trickier." LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this episode, you'll discover:✨ Why mistranslations in the Bible kept you from Christ consciousness✨ How your root chakra holds religious trauma from childhood programming✨ The energetic shift happening now for souls completing 3D incarnationHave you ever felt like the God you were taught to worship doesn't match the God you actually experience? Like there's this massive gap between what you were told to believe and what your soul knows to be true?I grew up in a world where God was a checklist. Say the right prayers. Follow the right rules. Fear the right things. And for a long time, I thought leaving religion meant leaving God entirely. I couldn't even say the word "God" without feeling like I was betraying the version of myself that had fought so hard to break free. So I called it the universe instead. The source. Anything but the loaded word that carried so much baggage. But here's what I've learned. Deconstructing your faith isn't the same as losing your connection to something greater. Sometimes you have to tear down the walls of the house you were raised in to discover the foundation was always sacred.Today our guest is David Hulse, founder of the Academy for Spiritual Awakening and a longtime researcher of ancient texts, energy healing, and the intersection of biblical interpretation and consciousness. He's spent over 60 years moving from fear-based religion to love-based spirituality, and he's here to help you do the same.Links from the episode:Show Notes: mindlove.com/431Join the Mind Love Collective here: https://mindlove.com/joinSign up for The Morning Mind Love for short daily notes to wake up inspiredSupport Mind Love SponsorsSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

There was a horrible story in the news recently where a father and son were killed by a swarm of "murder hornets" while zip-lining in the country of Laos. That is tragic, and I don't mean to make light of it when I say your love life is being killed by a bunch of "Killer B's" too. Those B's are: Blind Spots, Baggage, Beliefs and Barriers. And unless and until you deal with them in your life, you won't attract lasting love. This is part five of a 7-part series where Roy offers answers to the 7 questions found in his newest book, Quantum Questions: How Answering 7 Radical Questions Leads to Attracting a Healthy, Lasting, Intimate Relationship. This episode discusses the fifth question in the book, What is Standing in the Way of My Ability to Be Close? If you want to attract lasting love, you must deal with the "Killer B's". Legend has it Emily and Ky are on the beach to this day...just two little frozen grapes in their no longer seasonally appropriate bikinis, trying to understand the alleged log flume ride. If you like amusement park background noise and the ocean as ASMR, you're going to love this episode, which starts as a tender exploration of Emily and Ky's baggage both silly, and vulnerable, and then goes off the rails pretty quickly into post-sunset Coney Island reflection. Does Ky pee during recording? Is Emily a woman of leisure? Would the people of r/hygiene come after both of them with pitchforks and torches? All will be revealed!
A suitcase goes missing for nine days across multiple airlines and countries, and we turn the chaos into a clear, repeatable travel system. Alexa walks through the exact steps that lowered stress, sped up delivery, and maximized reimbursements while touring, teaching, and performing on the road.We start with prevention that pays off when things go wrong: layer-by-layer packing photos, a simple cloud inventory, suitcase shots, and bright identifiers that make claims painless. You will hear which items should never leave your carry-on, why sentimental or irreplaceable pieces either stay home or stay with you, and how old, overstuffed luggage quietly raises your risk of damage. We dig into AirTags and Tiles, airline bag-tracking apps, and when travel insurance is worth it for long or complex trips—plus how it filled the gap when airline reimbursement fell short. Then we get tactical. At the first hint of a delay, work every channel: line up at the gate desk, rebook in the app, and call the airline at the same time. If your bag does not arrive, head straight to the baggage desk before leaving the airport, file a claim, and lock down your reference number. Keep every receipt, scan everything, and centralize notes, photos, tags, and forms. Learn how to contact partner airlines to find the last scan, what daily allowances typically cover, and how to choose versatile essentials that carry you through work and play without wasting money. We also cover deadlines for delayed, damaged, and lost luggage, passenger rights under US DOT, EU 261, and the Montreal Convention, and how to coordinate benefits across the airline, your insurer, and your credit card.Travel smarter, not harder. Save this playbook for your next trip, share it with a friend who checks bags, and tell us your wildest lost-luggage story on socials. There's a baggage thief that's on the loose! This guy has hit DIA multiple times stealing unclaimed bags from baggage claim and hasn't been caught yet. Do you think he's gotten anything good?
There are instances—far more common than many would admit—when Christianity's baggage can entrap a person, and they never even realize it. They never make the connection between their lack of consistent joy, their compulsive effort to control how others perceive them, and the longstanding, hidden flaws they've learned to manage in secret. These individuals genuinely love God, but the internal experience of their faith often feels more like an oppressive religion than the soul-liberating freedom that Christ promises to those who belong to Him. Mable was this person. The church is under attack from people trying to bring in their own ideological baggage. All are welcome in church, but the point is for God's word to open people's eyes, equip them, and change them. We are not to dictate the terms on which we come to God. The church must stand firm and hold fast to the word we have received. Are you starting something new but feeling stuck in old patterns? The problem isn't the opportunity ahead—it's the unfinished business you're carrying with you. Most people try to move forward while dragging the weight of unclosed chapters, unprocessed emotions, and misaligned relationships. They wonder why new relationships feel like old ones, why career changes don't bring fulfillment, or why success still feels empty. The truth? Transformation isn't complete until you properly close what was.In this raw and deeply personal monthly reflection, Raj shares his journey of returning to Austin after five years of self-discovery, moving in with his partner, and completely reimagining his company Liber8. He reveals the often-overlooked art of completion—and why mastering it is the key to creating alignment in everything you do.In this episode, you'll discover:Why friction in your life is actually a gift showing you what's misalignedThe cancer survivor who experienced remission only after addressing her emotional trauma (and why the symptom is never the root cause)How to track "dis-ease" in your body as a map to know exactly where you are in lifeWhy you can't birth something new without letting old versions of yourself die firstThe question you're afraid to answer—and how it's keeping you stuckWhat happens to your body when you finally release emotional debt through being witnessedWhy the science doesn't heal you (but creating safety for your soul does)How monthly reflection became Raj's most powerful tool for closure and transformationThe truth is simple but profound: You are enough. You don't need to do more—you need to be held, witnessed, and seen as you release what you've been carrying. This isn't just another self-help conversation. It's an invitation to give yourself permission to complete, to grieve, to let go—and finally step into full alignment.Connect with Raj:Newsletter – Sign up here: https://www.rajjana.com/staygrounded/Website: http://www.rajjana.com/Instagram: @raj_janaiTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/rs/podcast/stay-grounded-with-raj-jana/id1318038490Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/22Hrw6VWfnUSI45lw8LJBPYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@raj_janaLegal Disclaimer: The information and opinions discussed in this podcast are for educational and entertainment purposes only.
