North Rocks soccer club is one of the biggest in the Hills Association who were kind enough to give us their playing kit. They are taking a strong stance on respecting referees. This is because the game, particularly at a community sport level, is losing them because they are receiving abuse. Bob Turner is one of the greatest NBL coaches in history and as the General Manager of the WSWBA he wants to use his experience to usher in the next generation of coaches. Bob has donated a free 10-week training program to one of the 'My Local Sports Bag' recipients to save them costs on lessons but also to give his young coaches more exposure at a younger age. Winston Hills is one of the largest soccer clubs in the Hills Association. They are one of the leaders in general equality, particularly women's football, where they are launching their third women's over 35s team. The team, and President Rod Carra are not focused on winning but introducing women to different cultures in their communities. Club volunteer coordinator Emma' Broomfield's club has been growing over the years, so she is asking a particular age group to join for a very different reason. Holroyd is looking for kids aged between 15-18 because they are undergoing big changes in their lives and dealing with the social pressures of higher studies, planning their future careers and fitting in with other adolescents.
