A little while ago I did a survey about what you all would like to see on the podcast and one of the things mentioned was how to stay organized and keep clean with little ones around. I don't want to give the impression that my house is always clean and organized, but I have found some ways to maintain some organization and a peaceful home environment despite the chaos that is parenting. You might be surprised that working “smarter and not harder” is really how we've found a good rhythm in our home, and that involves working on our mindset/outsourcing/and lots of partnership. I'm back! I fell off the wagon last week due to the chaos from our current move from DFW to Houston, but weekly episodes are resuming the rest of June. I will be taking a quick sabbatical in July to help us get settled and take a little breather after the move. On that note, this episode i'm sharing the tools I'm using right now to help support my mental health during this big transition. Moving is stressful and unsettling, particularly for me, so I'm leaning into my favorite therapy podcast, my personal therapist, my therapy journal, a mental health self-care app, and exercise to support my well -being even more during the transition. All details on the specifics I mentioned in the episode are in my Show Notes. Visit My Website Follow me on Instagram Get in touch with me

I say controversial because some feel like they are essentials, others feel like they can be a little rigid and a set up for disappointment surrounding how your birth actually unfolds. I'm sharing some insight on how you can use your birth plan as an insightful communication tool while also avoiding becoming inflexible with your labor plans. This week I'm going to be talking about "Wellness"! This has been such a buzzword for years right alongside the more recent phrase in the spotlight: “Self Care”. As a holistic health professional I've noticed how the wellness industry has changed over the years, how much pressure there can be behind the pursuit of staying “well” and how much wellness has been commodified and morphed into something that feels unrecognizable at best and harmful at worst. My personal experiences and experiences with my practice members have taught me how individualized, simple, and holistic wellness can really be. I'll discuss some "wellness" pitfalls I'm seeing out there, and share my 8 pillars that have helped me simplify the pursuit and health and well-being. (Spoiler: these are pillars are accessible to just about everyone!) Show Notes
This week I'm going to be talking about the importance of creating your own definition of success in a world that places the highest value on material success, productivity, and the like. While these things might be part of your definition, they are not the end all be all! This is especially if you are in a season like new- motherhood where your needs and the things that bring you fulfillment may be shifting. In the show notes on my website you'll find those journal prompt questions to help you define success for yourself.

Sharing my thoughts on making the morning routine sustainable and accessible when you are raising tiny humans, how I finally created a routine that worked for me that stuck, what that routine consists of and how to know whether or not the am routine is even for you in your current season of life.
