This sermon was preached by Jared Osborne on January 29, 2024 and is part 2 of the series Walk in the Way. Community is essential. It's how God designed for our lives to be. We are not creatures of isolation, and, more than that, community is the design for us to grow spiritually. If you are going to truly walk in the way, you need to be connected.
This sermon was preached by Justin Rogers on January 22, 2024 and is part 1 in the series Walk in the Way. Nothing reveals your smallest movements like trying to be perfectly still. Most of the time we don't notice all of our movements, because everything is moving at such a fast pace all around us. But if we choose to stop in the middle of the commotion, we begin to understand how much of it is unnecessary. Beyond that, we will see what is distracting us from what really matters. Be Still and Be Brighter.
This sermon was preached by Justin Rogers on November 27, 2023 and is part of the series Parables. Most of you have probably heard someone say, "Mean what you say. Say what you mean." Essentially, it's a call to use your words to accurately reflect what you intend. In the religious world, too often our words don't match our actions. We can't claim to follow God and then live opposite of how he has called us to without remorse. This sermon looks at two parables that challenge the status quo of Jesus's contemporaries, and it has great implications for today.
This sermon was preached by McCasland Ash (aka Mash) on November 6, 2023 and is part of the series Parables. Perhaps one of the most famous sets of parables, Luke 15 includes the Lost Sheep, Lost Coin, and the Prodigal Son. Many songs have been written based on the love and hope from these parables, but have we stopped to consider all that is being taught in them? In this sermon, Mash brings us through the Parable of the Lost Sheep. What is Jesus teaching? Listen in and find out!
This sermon was preached by Justin Rogers on October 30, 2023 and is part of the series Parables. Have you ever been a part of something, but you never gave 100%? It'd be easy to understand an "extra" actor in a play not dedicating his life to it. He still wants to be in the credits, but other things may take priority. We treat Jesus like that a lot. We say we want to be his. We want to have life. Yet, we don't live completely for him. We want to be affiliated with His story, but He doesn't have our whole heart. Here's a hard truth: You can't live half-way for Jesus. It's all or nothing. This parable makes that explicitly clear. Here, Jesus challenges us to be faithful in how we live for him. No matter how important you think you are, you are to use what you have been given for His Kingdom.
