Starting a residency at Klubd in Nicosia at the age of 23, Alex affected the electronic scene in Cyprus. Since 2013, he has been a resident at the renowned Berlin underground daytime party, STAUB—a space recognized for its sense of community and diverse electronic music offerings. Alex's career features performances at iconic venues such as Tresor, Gare Porto, and Kantine am Berghain. Capparis Spinosa is the imprint he founded in 2017 to present his music, including exclusive collaborations and remixes. His releases on Claudio PRC's label “12” and the consistently dancefloor-appropriate release on Maeve exemplify the artist's commitment to expression over confinement. The Paludose Canter EP showcases his profound and emotive dancefloor expressions traveling across various moods. For this week's episode of "Delayed with..." Alex Tomb created a peak-time techno journey that bursts with energy, driven by thumping kick drums and sharp percussion. If you need a companion for your next workout, this mix will do the trick. https://soundcloud.com/alex-tomb https://www.instagram.com/alex_tomb_ https://www.facebook.com/AlexTomb https://capparisspinosa.bandcamp.com/ Follow us on social media: https://soundcloud.com/itsdelayed https://linktr.ee/delayed https://www.itsdelayed.com https://www.facebook.com/itsdelayed https://www.instagram.com/_____delayed https://www.youtube.com/@_____delayed
In his latest EP, "Blossom of the Super Nonpareille," Alex Tomb presents a trippy sonic journey, highlighted by our premiere for today, "Spooka Coast." At the core of "Spooka Coast" lies a compelling bass sequence that acts as the driving force, maintaining a steady pulse throughout the entirety of the track. Its hypnotic allure keeps the listener engaged, effortlessly guiding them through the diverse soundscape crafted by Tomb. One of the most alluring aspects of "Spooka Coast" is the ebb and flow of percussive details that embellish the track. Tomb incorporates intricate rhythmic elements, injecting moments of suspense and anticipation into the track. The percussive layers interact harmoniously with the bass sequence, creating a dynamic and ever-evolving sonic landscape. Tomb's attention to detail and ability to maintain an intriguing vibe throughout "Spooka Coast" ensures that the track never feels stagnant, continually piquing curiosity and elevating the overall listening experience. Blossom of the Super Nonpareille EP also features a remix by one of our favorites, Polygonia, and is set for release on May 19 via Capparis Spinosa. write up by @gilleswasserman @alex-tomb www.instagram.com/alex_tomb_ capparisspinosa.bandcamp.com www.itsdelayed.com www.instagram.com/_itsdelayed_ www.facebook.com/itsdelayed
Following the lovely remix of Nathan Jonson's 'The Transfer' by the one and only The Drifter, released last week as a free download, Maeve Records welcomes the Nicosia-based Alex Tomb for its final release of 2022. Paludose Canter EP is a four-tracker that can easily be split into two parts. While 'Kids Will Be Kids' and 'The Cherry Village' carry the 'feel-good' vibe, and uplifting atmosphere suitable for boat parties and open-air endeavors, the 'B side' with 'Paludose Canter' and 'The Right Hand Demon' suits much better for big crowds and late nights on the dance floor. Our premiere for today, 'The Cherry Village,' is driven by joyous arpeggio and cheerful marimba melody creating a groovy, very positive vibe that will cause many smiley faces on the dance floor. Paludose Canter EP is due tomorrow, December 16, 2022 write up by https://soundcloud.com/gilleswasserman https://soundcloud.com/alex-tomb https://www.instagram.com/alex_tomb_ https://soundcloud.com/maeverecords https://www.instagram.com/maeve_records/ www.itsdelayed.com www.instagram.com/_itsdelayed_ www.facebook.com/itsdelayed

Following the release of Alex Tomb's latest album the only thing that made perfect sense was that we had to put together a remix release. This time we have Claudio PRC, Patrick Seich, Amandra Roses and Mynude. A 12" inch that see's Patrick Seich and Mynude sharing the A side by delivering a sub destroyer with delicate overtones and a hypnotic yet powerful rework, respectively. On the B side we have Amadra Roses opening with a beautiful and smooth interpretation followed by a trip of pure auditory sensation by none other than Claudio PRC. The vinyl comes in a sleek white full cover with a delicate & detailed design by none other than Dephreq. Pressed on a stunning full white wax and full colour labels, this release is guranteed to deliver whether its sitting in your collection or playing on your deck. credits releases September 29, 2017
