On this week's Arcade: Uno paints on his jungle camo to drop his full review of MGS Delta: Snake Eater before making the case for why the indie point-and-click thriller, The Drifter, is one of his certified GOTY contenders. Meanwhile, Chugs doubles up on ninja action with Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound and Shinobi: Art of Vengeance.Afterwards, the boys have dedicated over a dozen hours into Hollow Knight: Silksong and they've got plenty to say about whether the most anticipated game of the decade lives up to the hype. Hello again, it's me, the Ostrich that Indieventure hires to write episode descriptions while Rebecca is away. Well, I say hire. Liam actually keeps me in a big glass cube in his garage, and whenever my services are required, he uses a large hammer to release me. The entire process is inefficient (and don't even get me started on how much he's spending on glass per financial quarter), but he has started patting me on the head and telling me how good I am at writing words, so who am I to complain? Much in the same way I am released from my prison in the event of an emergency, the Indieventure trio were forced to smash the proverbial glass that surrounds the listener mailbag format this week, following a last-minute embargo change to a game they were all planning on reviewing instead. That game was Demonschool, which was pushed back to November following the surprise announcement of the release date for Hollow Knight: Silksong. The episode begins with a brief discussion about Team Cherry's upcoming mega hit, especially how much it has disrupted the indie game release schedule. Is Silksong the indie equivalent of Grand Theft Auto 6? That's maybe a question they answer here. I can't remember. Maybe listen to the episode yourself instead of expecting me to do it? You fool. You oaf. Then, the trio answer YOUR questions! Who is the hottest Peggle character? What does a successful indie podcast look like? What are your earliest memories of gaming? You'll find out the answers to these (and more!) in this section. Finally, it's Hyperfixation time. Liam is channeling Big Dad Energy after watching The Naked Gun, Rebecca has been listening to The Lion's Roar by First Aid Kit, and Rachel has been playing The Drifter. Anyway, I'd best be off. A DPD van just delivered an enormous glass cube, and Liam is now standing outside of its door, tapping his watch and looking impatient. Speak soon! On August 7, 1972, 16-year-old Jeannette DePalma left her home in Springfield, New Jersey, to go to work, but she never made it back home. Six weeks later, Jeannette's body was found atop Devil's Teeth, a cliff in Houdaille Quarry. With very little evidence, no clear suspects, and rumors of her being the victim of a Satanic Cult, her case has gone cold with no answers to be had for any of the countless questions left in the wake of her death. 53 years later, the mystery of what really happened to Jeannette DePalma has continued to baffle those who still remember her. Today, I am joined by Brian Santana to break down the case file and walk you through one of my home state's most baffling crimes. Kerry farmer Michael Gaine's disappearance on March 20th was first treated as a missing person's case.Soon though, it was upgraded to a murder investigation as the Garda searched for his body and explored multiple lines of inquiry. Then the farmer's body was found – in the most grisly of circumstances. He had been dismembered with his body parts deposited into the silage pit on his farm. One such line of inquiry involved Michael Kelley, an American who lived and worked on Gaine's 1,000-acre farm for the past three years.Kelley has identified himself to the media as having been arrested and questioned in relation to Gaine's murder. He was released without charge. So is he and what was he doing in Kerry? How did he come to live and work on the Gaine farm? And why is he giving interviews?Presented by Bernice Harrison. Produced by Suzanne Brennan. This episode was originally broadcast in June 2025. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

In 1995, Mary K. Ross, a 25-year-old single mother and college student, was stabbed to death in her Sioux Falls apartment while her baby watched. This essay reflects on how evil drifts from place to place, preying on the vulnerable, recruiting the unguarded, and how quiet compassion can remain our strongest defense. This is not your run of the mill hydration system. We're back with another episode of the Hunt Lift Eat Podcast and this week we are stoked to have Joe & Ross Ellis from Drifter Hydration with us.Drifter hydration has built a water and fluid system that is meant to get beaten up, taken outdoors, and create less worry when it comes to your hydration. What sets them apart from other companies? Two big things - you have the ability to pressurize your water and remove the constant sucking effect and two - your hydration system is built for the rugged outdoors. Unlike other hydration packs, Drifter Hydration is a hard shell bladder that can get beaten up, thrown around, and will not break while you're in the outdoors.
In this gripping episode, we sit down with Joshua—better known as Drifter Voyages—the dynamic host of The 50th Room Podcast. His captivating show explores the eerie underbelly of America, investigating supernatural phenomena state by state. Drifter takes us on a chilling journey through his personal encounters with the paranormal, from shadowy figures charging toward him to heart-pounding investigations of haunted sites and mysterious UFO sightings. One of the most startling accounts includes his discovery of what he believes could be the corpse of a Chupacabra—the infamous “goat-sucker,” a vampiric cryptid known for preying on livestock. He also recounts a terrifying distant encounter with what he suspects were three skinwalkers, spotted lurking near a factory. Hidden from their view, he observed their disturbing presence—an experience that raises more questions than answers. Our conversation ventures deeper into the unknown, exploring mind-bending theories: Are mirrors potential portals to other dimensions? What if these paranormal events are glimpses into a reality we're only beginning to understand?Join us as we journey down a mesmerizing rabbit hole where the line between the natural and the supernatural fades—and the possibilities become as infinite as they are unsettling. Don't miss this electrifying dive into the unexplained.https://linktr.ee/driftervoyages We are thrilled to announce the official launch of Let's Get Freaky merchandise! Today, we're excited to speak with Rick Haaland, an animal rescuer and advocate who is the Pets for Life community outreach manager for the Leech Lake Tribal Police. Rick shares the story of the most memorable dog of his childhood, a stray that showed up one day and never left. Even when Rick spent the summer with his grandparents, Drifter, unwilling to be left behind, walked two days to reunite with him. A lifelong animal lover, Rick only came to animal rescue after 40 years in various jobs and as a small business owner. Through Pets for Life, he helps Leech Lake pet owners to keep their animals healthy with access to affordable vet care. This also includes the future building of a Leech Lake Animal Wellness Center to address the lack of nearby veterinarian services. Rick is currently 5th district commissioner and Board Chair for Cass County. He and his family share their home with three dogs and one cat.
Post-Hades roguelikes are a dime a dozen, but Lost In Random: The Eternal Die stands head and shoulders above the pack. It matches the gold standard set by the Supergiant classic with its strong art style, tight combat, satisfying progression, and build variety. Unlike much of the genre, it also respects your time, and it takes luck, thought, and skill to craft a winning build, and earn a winning run.In the roundup: Next Fest, Gecko Gods, MIO: Memories In Orbit, The Drifter, and more.Support the show, get extra stuff, and help me to 150 patrons! http://patreon.com/gaminginthewildHear the original Lost In Random review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7lVYw1sOSM See the June indie release video: https://youtu.be/dTxqYRvC7zc?si=rvcZ0AC6jWoq9mEf Follow me on Bluesky, Steam, and all the other places: http://gaminginthewild.comThanks for listening!
