This week on the Mark Levin Show, the ISIS attack in New York carried out by two young immigrants is unfortunately only the beginning of such incidents. Iran has pre-positioned hit squads because of the Biden administration's open borders and Democratic leaders like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries. Mayor Mamdani's response to this terrorism was appalling. Then, for the media, and now for most politicians, what's most important is not winning this war against Iran AND ensuring it's not replaced by another monstrous regime, but the price of gasoline on a daily basis. Of course, when phony climate change policies were being instituted and drove up the price of gasoline, oil, electricity, automobiles, etc., we didn't get a daily barrage of such reports. But now, we even get charts and other graphics showing us the day-to-day increase in gasoline. If this military campaign is ended prematurely, and the second phase of ensuring the institution of a civil government is not accomplished, chances are this entire effort will be for naught. The economic, geo-political, and national security gains, which have been immense, and the stated goal of liberating the Iranian people, which initiated this process, could become a disaster in every respect -- including political. Mainstream media and Democrats downplayed or obscured the Islamist terrorist motive, framing it vaguely as devices at an anti-Muslim rally, condemning Islamophobia instead, and avoiding the truth of a near-mass-casualty jihadist attack, which the speaker sees as part of a broader pattern of cover-up by media and elites who tolerate or support such threats. Later, the SAVE America act is a no brainer and Democrats desperately oppose it because they benefit from fraudulent practices enabled by big-city political machines. Sen Chuck Schumer acts like a modern George Wallace by insisting everyone should vote—not just legal voters—allowing illegal ballots, double voting, or votes for the deceased to neutralize legitimate votes. Much of this fraud is allegedly legalized, making proof difficult and necessitating stricter statutes like voter ID requirements. The United States is a nation at war with itself, dividing Americans into two sides: patriotic, red-blooded citizens who love their country on one side, and elected Democrats in Washington—along with their operatives, Marxists, Islamists, the woke Reich neo-fascists—on the other. The Democrat Party policies undermine national security and sovereignty, such as opening borders to unvetted illegal aliens for years, allowing dangerous individuals to remain in the country. There are escalating attacks targeting Jews and Jewish facilities, such as the attack on the Temple Israel synagogue in Michigan. Most special education systems operate on this premise: Students with disabilities must master small foundational skills before they are allowed access to academic content.   In practice, this often means students spend years repeating the same goals - decoding, counting, basic worksheets - while their peers move forward into real subjects like science, history, and mathematics.   But what happens when a student with significant disabilities is simply included in a high school physics class?   In this episode of Non Linear Learning, I speak with Sruthi Muralidharan, a high school physics teacher who is testing that question in a public school classroom.   Sruthi teaches general education physics where students with significant cognitive disabilities - including students with Down syndrome - participate alongside their peers in labs, engineering activities, and scientific investigations.   Her work challenges several assumptions that dominate special education today. Sruthi did not begin her career in education. No, I don't mean the salacious kind, but when you know of something good that others are ignoring. Sometimes, it's the best song on a new album that hasn't been released. For this episode, though, we're here to talk about watches. Specifically, we mention the recent attention garnered by a brand that has been dormant to mainstream collectors for the better part of four decades, Movado. We also mention Balazs's favorite, Angelus.HandgelenkskontrolleWe kick off our episode about a cult brand getting popular with some banter. After all, it's been a while since we've spoken. Mike is currently in Canton, Ohio, and had the opportunity to visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It's a must-see for anyone who enjoys the game! Then, we turn our attention to the TV shows we've been watching. Paradise, The Night Agent, and Cross are current hits worth streaming. For the Handgelenkskontrolle, Mike brought one watch to Ohio. It's his metallic-black-dial Rolex Datejust 16030 from 1983. He hasn't worn it much over the past five years, but it has performed admirably on the trip. Balazs has even more exciting news. After his recent trip to Japan, he ordered the Ōtsuka Lōtec No.5 Kai, and it just arrived. This is a very different brand and style of watch for him. We can't wait for the review!When a brand you love becomes popularWe spend our time discussing the positives and negatives of when a brand you enjoy suddenly gains more of a mainstream following. Our recent prime example of this is Movado, a company that made some fantastic watches from the 1930s through parts of the 1970s. We discuss how Movado's more complicated vintage models were once popular with collectors during the 1980s, when smaller pieces were all the rage. However, since then, no one cared much until now. Savvy collectors have long appreciated Movado's in-house movements and above-average attention to detail, but this somehow escaped dealer websites until recently.Aside from rising prices, we discuss the other pitfalls of a once-cultish brand becoming more widely known. Balazs keeps our conversation balanced with similar thoughts about his favorite vintage marque, Angelus. Of course, availability has dropped along with the ability to find a diamond in the rough. Plus, we've witnessed a rise in dubiously knowledgeable merchants proclaiming originality on a piece when there are clear issues. Also, for collectors who place a lot of trust in dealers, there's a big difference in the robustness between a watch from the '30s or '40s without shock protection and a more modern '60s chronograph. When problems occur, will people abandon a brand like Movado? In our experience, servicing such older pieces is also more challenging due to parts availability and watchmaker patience. If it sounds like we're bad-mouthing Movado, we're not! On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, the media report on every instance when ICE detains someone who, it later turns out, should not have been detained.  There will always be some level of misidentification when dealing with such large numbers of people and chaotic situations.  There were no endless news reports on what has happened to people when the border was wide open, and the brutality and inhumanity resulting from that policy. The murdered, raped, and otherwise brutalized American citizens are mostly ignored. The media are so completely in the tank for the Democrats and the left, they're open and blatant about it and don't give a damn. Also, Mark announces that he's launching his new video podcast (Vidcast) called Liberty's Voice with Mark Levin next Tuesday. The broader podcasting industry is largely a cesspool filled with un-Americanism, Marxism, Islamism, wokeism, fascism, racism, anti-Jewish and anti-Christian sentiment. It's time to confront these issues on a sustained basis by promoting Americanism, Judeo-Christian values, individual liberty, American sovereignty, and constitutionalism. Later, the United States must firmly reject Sharia as a totalitarian system fundamentally incompatible with constitutional freedoms and the U.S. Constitution. Sharia is an all-encompassing, liberty-crushing framework that regulates every aspect of life, defines true freedom as perfect submission to Allah and religious law, and mandates open-ended jihad to impose a global Islamic order.  There's a ruling class of elitists—including academics, lawyers, judges, reporters, and media figures—who wield influence over public opinion, policies, and laws but are failing society, particularly through biased or dishonest media. Mainstream outlets like the New York Times ignore threats from Islamist ideology, such as Sharia law, while instead attacking patriots raising alarms.  Finally, Rep Byron Donalds calls in and explains that Iran has never been a friend to the United States. They've relied on weak leadership in Washington to advance its goals through stall tactics ,that is until President Trump came along. He also strongly supports the SAVE Act.
