What happens when a worship leader finally stops hiding? That is the question underneath everything Jordan Colle shares in this conversation. He is a worship leader and songwriter with Bethel Music, currently touring with Phil Wickham and carrying a multigenerational ministry legacy that started long before anyone knew his name. But the most honest moment in this episode is not about the tour or the songs. It is about what shifted when he finally laid everything at the feet of Jesus and stopped pretending some of it was not there. In this episode you will hear how growing up in a ministry family shaped his view of worship from the very beginning, what a moment in South Florida at a worship school confirmed about his calling through Isaiah 61, what it was like returning to his home church as a 20-year-old leading a team of people twice his age, what four years writing alongside Brandon Lake taught him about finding his voice, and how he has learned to hold calling in one hand and surrender in the other without crushing either one. This is a conversation for worship leaders who want to lead from a deeper place. Not just a more polished one.   Worship Online is your new secret weapon for preparing each week. With detailed song tutorials and resources, you and your team will save hours every single week, and remove the stress from preparing for a set. Cimabue non ci riesce, ma ci riesce lui, ci riesce Giotto....- The full transcript of this Episode (and excercises for many of the grammar episodes) is available via "Luisa's learn Italian Premium", Premium is no subscription and does not incur any recurring fees.

Sarah Ellen Masters is a collage artist, workshop facilitator, and founder of Colle — a creative business born from her own healing journey. In this deeply personal conversation, Sarah traces how dyslexia, public shame at school, and years of emotional isolation led her, unexpectedly, to the transformative power of collage. What began as a master's project questioning her own bias against the medium evolved into a daily practice, a business, and a mission to bring accessible, hands-on creativity back into communities, schools, and organisations. Sarah shares how she turned Julia Cameron's morning pages into a visual ritual, why she sources materials from charity shops and her grandmother's belongings, and how sitting side-by-side with workshop participants — not above them — defines her entire philosophy of creative empowerment.Key TakeawaysCreativity can be suppressed from a very young age — for Sarah, dyslexia and an unsupportive school system created decades of shame and self-doubt before she found her creative identity in her late twenties.Collage has a uniquely low barrier to entry because, unlike drawing or painting, it was never formally graded at school — meaning most people carry no negative conditioning around it.Sarah developed a daily practice of writing diary entries, distilling each into three words, then translating those words into imagery — a powerful visual alternative to traditional journalling.Being present over perfect is the core principle behind her workshops. The process matters far more than the finished image, making it genuinely accessible to everyone. The labels we carry — "shy", "stupid", "black sheep" — are rarely accurate. Sarah unpacks how misdiagnosed shyness was actually years of learned isolation, and how collage helped her reclaim her organic self.Sources and materials matter philosophically: charity shops, inherited pieces from her grandmother, and printing offcuts all tie into her values of renewal, recycling, and honouring the past.People are physically starving for analog connection. The moment participants put their phones down and work with their hands, real human connection — not just connectivity — takes over.Starting with people she knew and slowly widening her audience has helped Sarah build confidence through accumulated reps, not overnight transformation. Her collage practice has trained her to respond to life's situations rather than be absorbed by them — a profound shift in emotional resilience. What Sarah offers her workshop participants is the exact safe, supported environment she desperately needed but never had growing up. California Wine Country
Don Chigazola with Colle Ciocco from Montefalco

California Wine Country

The book that Dan and Don agree is the best one on this subject. Don Chigazola has brought Colle Ciocco wines to taste and review with Dan Berger and Daedalus Howell on California Wine Country. Don’s company Chigazola Merchants imports selected small lots of Italian wines made by small family-owned wineries. He travels to Italy regularly to find wines and to meet everyone involved. Don Chigazola has been on California Wine Country several times, the last time was this episode on June 13, 2025, with wines from the Alto Adige region. They begin by tasting a very dry Trebbiano. It's a white wine popular in Italy but not widely known in this country. This Trebbiano is one of the wines Don has brought today, all from the same producer, which is one of his favorites, the Spacchetti family in Montefalco, Umbria. Their label is Colle Ciocco, which translates to “Choko Hill” in English. Don Chigazola founded Chigazola Merchants to travel in Italy looking for wines to import. They started importing from the Spacchetti family after he got to know them about four years ago. They only make about 5000 bottles per year. The wines that Don chooses for Chigazola Merchants are combinations of a variety and a region that are common in Italy but not well-known here. Don looks for those varieties that will surprise and delight his customers. Dan Berger remarks on a wine that was a 2022 Sancerre which is made with Sauvignon Blanc and it was sweet, not dry as he expected. Sweetness sells, apparently, according to Dan. Trebbiano Spoletino There are different clones of Trebbiano in this wine which make it unique. Trebbiano Spoletino is grown around the village of Spoleto in Umbria. Don describes it as very clean and dry, flavors of apricots, peaches, stone fruit. Dan notices good minerality that makes it go well with food. The only way to get a California Chardonnay to have any acidity at all is to chill it down. We all agree that's a cheap trick and beneath us. Don Chigazola has run Chigazola Merchants for about 13 years now. He has seen the shift in demand from Italian reds to white wines. So he began to favor white wines about six years ago. Now his portfolio of Italian white wines is very strong and unique among American retailers. Some of Chigazola Merchants' wine club members are local wine producers. They are eager to taste a wide range of production. A lot of his members have joined after they got to know the wines from their friends. Grechetto The next wine is a Grechetto, another Italian white grape grown around Orvieto and near the town of Todi. The Spacchetti family has blended a couple of clones of Grechetto with about 15% Viogner, which gives it a soft finish on the palette and “rounds the edges.” The third wine tasted today is a red blend, called Montefalco, which is 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino and 15% Merlot. Dan notices this difference: in California, we make wines that are big and rich and bold, for reasons “I don't wanna talk about,” ok fine. But he finds them tiresome. Contrast that with what these Italian wines accomplish. “It is not very ripe, only just ripe.” Sagrantino Then they have a Sagrantino from Montefalco. This is a 2019. Sagrantino was first a sacramental wine, and was made to be sweet. But it is now a dry wine because tastes have changed. Don explains that the Spacchetti family ages it for two years in barrels and then a minimum of five years in the bottle. With all that it still feels young. There are over 400 varieties of Italian wine, so Don says that nobody can claim to be an expert, there is too much to know.  But Dan Berger begs to differ and cites Ian D’Agata and his book, Native Wine Grapes of Italy. Dan admires the author as an expert because of his book. Don actually knows Ian and agrees about his level of knowledge. Don describes himself as a student of wine.

However, on Thursday the UCI confirmed the calendars for the men's and women's World Tours for the next three-year cycle and there was no place on it for the One Cycling project, effectively kicking it into the long grass if not killing it completely. Much of the second half of the episode was about where the sport goes from here, including Jonathan's hope that the One Cycling project might finally give some coherence to the professional sport's structure. Jonathan asked if we could make this conversation available more widely and so, for a limited time, it will be on our free feed, with our thanks to our Friends of the Podcast subscribers who help to fund our coverage. Jonathan Vaughters is the general manager of the EF Education-Easy Post team and in this conversation with Lionel Birnie, he begins by talking about the conclusion to the Giro d'Italia. Richard Carparaz finished third overall after that thrilling stage over the Colle delle Finestre but Jonathan explains the tactics were designed with only victory in mind. From there, it's a freewheeling discussion about the state of pro cycling in 2025. Is Tadej Pogačar's dominance good for the sport, the One Cycling project, the Netflix effect, even the possibility of AI's influence on racing.

As the dust settles on a sensational 20th stage of the Giro d'Italia, Lionel Birnie is joined by Matt White – one of the people in cycling who knows Simon Yates best –  to analyse how the race was won (and lost) on the Colle delle Finestre. Until the eve of the Giro, Matt was head of performance at the Jayco-Alula team, having been with the Green Edge organisation since it was founded. Until this season, Yates had spent his whole professional career with the team and he and Matt shared many highs and one memorable low. Matt was in the team car when Simon Yates lost the 2018 Giro on the Finestre following Chris Froome's audacious long-range attack on stage 19, so he has a fascinating insight into the tactical and psychological issues that played out on the mountain on Saturday. Yates bounced back later that season to win the Vuelta a España. But what else stood out to Matt as he watched the stage on Saturday? How did Visma-Lease A Bike pull it off, and could Isaac Del Toro, Richard Carapaz and their respective teams have done anything differently?
