Born and raised in Morocco, Chami has been djing there before moving to Lyon, France where he discovered his passion for techno. Now based in Berlin, where he has definitely become fully integrated in the Berlin local underground scene. Chami is one of those artists that truly reflects the spirit of techno, no superficial exterior surface of these days but only focusing on the pure art form itself. He is also part of the face 2 face project with OPH where they played facing each other using 2 mixers and 4 vinyl turntables which lead them to play multiple times in Berghain. He also co-founded with Olivia Mendez the label DIG Curated. Driven by community ethos at the core of their music vision, they are reinforcing the power of collaboration and discovery in the scene. By inviting renowned diggers and DJs to present lesser-known artists with each EP, DIG Curated became a pioneering vinyl label, conceived to empower new music talents and play a key role in the techno movement. By using the visibility and trusted endorsement of well-known artists, DIG Curated gives a platform to rising artists to be seen. He is also part of the Minijob French crew which organizes illegal raves in abandoned locations in the outskirts of Berlin, welcoming everyone regardless of genre, origin and sexuality with a wide variety of music from house disco and techno. These events are organized without public promotion and managed to gather a solid regular audience base that supports their values and trusts what they do. With his strong and determined vinyl only sets Chami is able to showcase his talent on the decks and demonstrate his deep knowledge for this very technical art. When listening to him, you can lock in for clean, rhythmic and mental hours of no bullshit techno. Join Here: https://ow.ly/msoH50WCu0KThe Notorious Mass Effect segment breaks down Rosalía's historic "Berghain" performance with Björk at the 2026 BRIT Awards on February 28 at Manchester's Co-op Live Arena. As Analytic Dreamz, I dissect this groundbreaking moment: the first live rendition of the track from her November 2025 album Lux, and the first onstage collaboration between Rosalía and Björk.Rosalía, in all-white attire, opened with an operatic German intro backed by the Heritage Orchestra's strings and a half-circle choir in blazers, evoking a cathedral atmosphere. Björk made a surprise entrance through the parted choir, delivering her hypnotic verse in avant-garde styling with a hovering beaded headpiece. The performance transformed into a full rave explosion: heavy synths, strobe lights, electronic beats, head-banging choreography, and an intense dance breakdown—blending symphonic drama, theatrical avant-garde, and underground club energy. This genre-bending spectacle followed Rosalía's win for Best International Artist, defeating Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, Tyler, The Creator, Chappell Roan, and others—marking her as the first Spanish artist to claim a BRIT Award and a milestone for non-English-language music. Her acceptance speech emphasized celebrating otherness, cultural exchange, artistic freedom, and representation, quoting: “Let's keep celebrating different music, different cultures and different languages.”Lux, an ambitious 15-track opus spanning 13 languages with flamenco roots, experimental pop, orchestral elements (including London Symphony Orchestra), and electronic layers, set the stage for her upcoming Lux World Tour starting March 16, 2026, in Lyon, France—42 arena shows across 17 countries in Europe, North America, and South America.“Berghain,” despite the Berlin nightclub reference, explores inner psychological forests, darkness vs. light duality, moral ambiguity, and the artist's journey beside shadows for deeper understanding. The performance ignited viral buzz, critical acclaim as one of the most innovative BRIT moments, and tour hype—positioning Rosalía as a global cultural architect reshaping pop spectacle through fearless, high-art-to-rave fusions.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/analytic-dreamz-notorious-mass-effect/exclusive-contentPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

I sat down with Parisian‑born, Brussels‑based producer UFO95 to trace the line between brutalist architecture, Detroit machine soul, and live techno. From early days in punk bands and birthdays above his parents' club to a Tresor residency and a nerve‑tight Berghain performance, he unpacks how structure, space, and human error can turn a set into something physical. We dive into the design choices behind the new UFO95 album A Brutalist Dystopian Society Part 2: concrete‑solid kicks, saturated drones, and spacious pads that carry the grey, functional, futuristic mood of brutalism without ornament. He explains why half his shows remain improvised, how shrinking his hardware rig sharpened the energy, and what different cities teach him about pacing a room. Expect thoughtful nods to Underground Resistance, Jeff Mills, Surgeon, and Regis, reframed through a personal lens that swaps copycat nostalgia for living lineage. We also explore the craft behind the scenes: producing with the live arc in mind, writing twenty‑minute passages that breathe without a kick, and treating the club as a place to express, not excess. UFO95 talks candidly about resisting trends, favouring slow, minimal, and mental tracks while much of techno chases extremes, and why keeping protest and experimentation at the heart of the genre still matters. If you enjoy Lost and Sound and want to help keep it thriving, the best way to support the podcast is simple: subscribe, leave a rating, and write a quick review on your favourite podcast platform. For the Exchange's Season Two relaunch, the visionary duo discuss their first release in 13 years and the inspiration behind their trailblazing sound. Neel and Donato Dozzy, who perform and make music together as Voices From The Lake, first joined forces in 2011, when what was supposed to be a one-off performance in the Japanese Alps changed the trajectory of ambient techno forever. The music they made for the occasion was released as a self-titled album in 2012—a record that achieved mythical status in the underground and is still described as the Selected Ambient Works for the Berghain generation. Instead of following techno's standard linearity and instrumentation, the duo deployed a soft pulse, massive reverb trails and carefully placed silence to make their music feel like a living, breathing organism. Dozzy and Neel then went silent for 13 years, each pursuing their individual careers while fans pined for more music. And in December 2025, they finally delivered. II, which is dedicated to their late friend Nuel, manages to be both a continuation and a reinvention of the sound they pioneered more than a decade ago. In this RA Exchange, they uncover its guiding concepts, which draw deeply from the well of improvisational practices, concepts in Japanese design and aesthetics, and the minimalist visual art of contemporaries like Mike Parker. The duo also reveal their plans to veer away from the ambient blueprint altogether. Listen to the episode in full.

DJ TOOL's quicksilver sound is as intrepidly propulsive as it is indebted to the old school. Isochronously authentic and assertive, his sets traverse percolating trance, frenetic techno and seductive psychedelia across an encyclopaedic back-catalogue of clandestine classics.

Enraptured by the raw essence of DJing, TOOL honed his style as part of Copenhagen's Fast Forward collective, boasting an apodictic vinyl dexterity that quickly earned him international renown. High energy and even higher stamina, his anarchistic and indefatigable 8-hour(+) sets at Berlin's Mala Junta have catalysed fabled closings at the likes of Tbilisi's Bassiani, New York's Basement, and London's Fold.

As a co-founder of Mala Junta, TOOL's assiduous efforts to politicise nightlife and re-contextualise trance within the queer underground has led to multiple collaborations with Berghain, as well as activist DIY collectives worldwide. From the studio to the floor, every ingredient of his output emanates an energy that's irrefutably TOOL. Channeling the imposing physicality of brutalist concrete monoliths into that thing we call dystopian techno. The UFO95 flew over Brussels one night, With Absence Has Shape tucked under its light, Through brutalist towers so starkly imposing, Where concrete dreams lay decomposing. “Oh MORD!” cried the vessel, “Oh MORD!” it did say, “I'm bound for the club on the sixth of Febru-ay! With radiophonics both retro and keen, And dystopian grooves never before seen!” The Tresor did rumble, the Berghain did shake, As techno Tardises whirled in its wake, With low-end saturation and thunderous throb, It zipped and it zingled, it wobbled, it bobbed! Brussels-based electronic musician Killian Vaissade – better known as UFO95 – constructs brutalist sonic architecture from the ruins of utopian dreams. On “Absence Has Shape,” the second track from his forthcoming album A Brutalist Dystopian Society Part 2, the Tresor resident channels the imposing physicality of concrete monoliths into that thing we call dystopian techno. Brutalist structures as monuments to failed promises, their stark minimalism now haunting reminders of what never came to pass. Vaissade translates this visual language into dark, dramatic, stripped back essential techno. “Absence Has Shape” throbs with hypnotic tension, interlocking grooves and low-end density. Drawing inspiration from Function, Jeff Mills, Surgeon, and Sandwell District, UFO95' approach is “Moroder-meets-Mills” – melding retro radiophonics that address brutality in its many forms: war, repression, corruption. A Brutalist Dystopian Society Part 2 drops on February 6th via MORD on vinyl, download, and streaming. The album follows acclaimed releases on Tresor, WSNWG, and TSSRCT (which he co-runs with Hadone), cementing Vaissade's reputation as a masterful producer whose tracks cut through the noise. Vaissade doesn't DJ, opting for improvised live sets, a practice that's earned him a residency at Berlin's legendary Tresor and slots at Berghain, Berlin Atonal, and Bassiani. Catch him on tour throughout January and February, including upcoming dates at Berghain (Jan 10), Razzmatazz Barcelona (Jan 17), and Fuse Brussels (Jan 24), with stops across Europe and the Americas.

Clocking in for our last round of the year, and ready to shut 2025 off on a proper high note, here comes SPE:C, Reef and Biofield boss Darwin with two hours of hi-velocity yet cerebral material for the heads. Loaded with the steel-hard fury of future-facing techno wares and breaks-informed combinations of sci-fi atmospheres, alien emotional spaces, and impactful weight in the low end, this mix makes for a proper sendoff party to 2025 so we transition from this long-ass year into the new one with renewed energy and focus. All in on the 4x4 and adjacent pumpers, bass-heavy depth charges and zero-G, dub-leaning stunts, the former Griessmuehle resident and habituée at some of the scene's most illustrious bastions - including our friends of Berghain and Bassiani - dishes out a mind-boggling set packing not just the most massive punch but also a deadeye accuracy in her mixing technique and pristine curation, sure to please lovers of fast-paced and hedonistically havoc-wreaking blends, fully zeroed in on bringing back the true pioneering spirit of techno to the fore.

Her studio output possesses an intoxicating depth and precision, with releases on the likes of Stroboscopic Artefacts, her own Rabe imprint and 30D Records, including her very recently released outstanding debut album ‘Transition' - a complex, high-fidelity deep space odyssey - essential listening. For this session, Rabe orchestrates a sonic narrative that exists in the liminal space between contrasting forces, effortlessly balancing the realm between darkness and light, melancholy and euphoria. Hailing from Yerevan, Armenia, Innersha is a producer and live artist who has created a fresh and sophisticated perspective on contemporary live techno. Her sound is a dense constellation of IDM intricacies, celestial textures, and deep techno grooves that drift effortlessly into the depths of mind-altering psychedelia. This unique sonic signature has already led to visionary live sets at revered institutions including Bassiani, Berghain's Säule, and Pe:rsona, alongside multiple performances at this year's Mo:Dem Festival. For this recording, Innersha moves between the physical and the ethereal, constructing a narrative that perfectly balances the tactile weight of rhythm with the weightlessness of space. It is a trip that feels both intimate and expansive, navigating through cycles of sonic construction and deconstruction. A deep cerebral excursion witnessing the formation of entirely new sonic dimensions. Reflecting on the process that shaped this session, Innersha shares: "The recording is an exploration of materials and impressions gathered throughout 2025. Across the year, I found myself working with percussive instruments, exploring the pulse and the subtle variations of repetition that come from real movement. Another part of this process was diving into ambient abstraction, constantly shifting atmospheres that reshape the context. In the dialogue between these two elements, a story began to form about collapse, rebirth, and the formation of new universes. The set was recorded in my studio in Yerevan, where most of the days drift into exploring sound." Turn the volume high and lose yourself in a new realm of sound.
