Listeners of Monument Techno Podcast that love the show mention: techno music, edm, great listen, sounds, enjoy, awesome, love, work, always, listening, techno fans.
The Monument Techno Podcast has been my go-to podcast for years whenever I want to unwind and have some downtime. The atmosphere created in a lot of the mixes is incredibly captivating, and the quality of the mixes is consistently top-notch. This podcast is truly a gem that I treasure, and I am so grateful for the hard work that goes into producing it. Keep up the great work!
One of the best aspects of The Monument Techno Podcast is the variety it offers in terms of DJs and sets. There is something for everyone, whether you are a hardcore techno fan or someone who is just curious about techno music. The fact that a friend who isn't typically a fan of techno now asks me to send him new sets from this podcast speaks volumes about its quality and appeal. It has become his gateway into exploring this genre, which can only be seen as a positive thing.
The regularity of new episodes and their consistently high quality are also standout features of this podcast. Every episode feels like a treat, with each one offering a unique and immersive experience that never feels monotonous. The archive of techno music curated on this podcast, along with related links for more information about the tracks, makes it an invaluable resource for any techno fan.
However, there aren't many negatives to be found with The Monument Techno Podcast. Perhaps one downside could be that if you're not a fan of electronic dance music (EDM) or techno, then this podcast may not appeal to you as much. But for those who enjoy these genres or are open-minded enough to give them a chance, this podcast delivers an exceptional listening experience.
In conclusion, The Monument Techno Podcast is an absolute must-listen for anyone who loves electronic music, particularly techno. It provides a consistently high-quality selection of mixes from various DJs and offers an immersive journey into the world of synthesized sounds. Whether you're driving down the highway or doing some work, this podcast is the perfect soundtrack to clear your head and elevate your mood. I can't recommend it enough.

Denise Rabe is a Berlin based DJ and producer. A true veteran selector, Rabe has commanded the booths of the most respected institutions, including Berghain, Tresor, Bassiani, cementing her reputation as an artist who creates worlds rather than just mixing tracks. Her studio output possesses an intoxicating depth and precision, with releases on the likes of Stroboscopic Artefacts, her own Rabe imprint and 30D Records, including her very recently released outstanding debut album ‘Transition' - a complex, high-fidelity deep space odyssey - essential listening. For this session, Rabe orchestrates a sonic narrative that exists in the liminal space between contrasting forces, effortlessly balancing the realm between darkness and light, melancholy and euphoria. The mix unfolds as a dark, hypnotic, and richly textured deep mind trip, where industrial rhythms are softened by depth and nuance. This is techno distilled to its primal core—raw, driving, and beautifully complex. Step into the abyss now. Samuel van Dijk is a true musical chameleon, a producer who moves fluidly between distinct sonic identities. Whether crafting electro-tinged works as VC-118A, deep dub textures as Mohlao, or the submerged aquatic soundscapes of Multicast Dynamics, his mastery of the craft is absolute. Recorded within the intimate glow of the Monument Festival after-party in Oslo, this session captures the final, tender exhale of a weekend defined by shared energy. Multicast Dynamics guides us into a restorative space where time dilates and the pulse slows. He navigates a kaleidoscope of genre and emotion. Hailing from Yerevan, Armenia, Innersha is a producer and live artist who has created a fresh and sophisticated perspective on contemporary live techno. Her sound is a dense constellation of IDM intricacies, celestial textures, and deep techno grooves that drift effortlessly into the depths of mind-altering psychedelia. This unique sonic signature has already led to visionary live sets at revered institutions including Bassiani, Berghain's Säule, and Pe:rsona, alongside multiple performances at this year's Mo:Dem Festival. For this recording, Innersha moves between the physical and the ethereal, constructing a narrative that perfectly balances the tactile weight of rhythm with the weightlessness of space. It is a trip that feels both intimate and expansive, navigating through cycles of sonic construction and deconstruction. A deep cerebral excursion witnessing the formation of entirely new sonic dimensions. Reflecting on the process that shaped this session, Innersha shares: "The recording is an exploration of materials and impressions gathered throughout 2025. Across the year, I found myself working with percussive instruments, exploring the pulse and the subtle variations of repetition that come from real movement. Another part of this process was diving into ambient abstraction, constantly shifting atmospheres that reshape the context. In the dialogue between these two elements, a story began to form about collapse, rebirth, and the formation of new universes. The set was recorded in my studio in Yerevan, where most of the days drift into exploring sound." Turn the volume high and lose yourself in a new realm of sound. MNMT Recordings : Hewan Aman — Kune Festival 2025 “KUNE was one of my favorite festival experiences this summer. It was an absolute honor to be invited, especially for a set surrounded by fellow story tellers and music selectors I deeply admire. Wild and generous location, giving so much space to move at your own rhythm. I felt connected to the beautiful community that gathers there and held by the presence of the sea, which was like a constant anchor. The curation stood out. Long sets, excellent sound, beautifully designed stages, and this subtle intensity I keep finding in Denmark. I learned about Yndelov ~ a kind of quiet code that encourages not thinking you're better than anyone, even when doing something exceptional. I found that spirit present in the way the festival was curated and lived ~ generous, grounded, and without ego. My set took place between 3 and 6am, in the belly of the Vessel stage, a concrete bunker. The sun rose halfway through ~ I didn't see it directly, but witnessing it light up people's faces as they danced was equally moving. Squeezed in between Peachlyfe's dreamy vibe, and Lund & Ronde goblin psy ride I really couldn't be happier. Big love and thanks to the KUNE family. Really happy to be sharing the recording.” Hewan Aman is a DJ, sound explorer and artist whose sets move between deep bass, atmospheric layers and emotionally-charged rhythms. Drawing from dub, trance, breaks and experimental club music, she plays with contrasts ~ shadow and light, softness and impact ~ creating space for both introspection and collective release. Captured live from the concrete belly of the Vessel stage, this set chronicles Hewan Aman's masterful three-hour navigation from the depths of night into the first light of dawn at Kune Festival. The journey begins in shadow, moving through darker, psychedelic territories, with the mix evolving as the sun begins to rise, skillfully evolving and giving way to an ascendant wave of deeper, euphoric, trancey luminosity. Loek Frey is a producer, DJ and live artist from the Netherlands whose work defies easy categorization. Blurring the lines between techno, experimental, IDM, and ambient, he crafts a sound that is at the very forefront of avant-garde electronics. His exceptional releases on Omen Wapta & his own OQAD perfectly demonstrate his mind-bending expertise and finesse in the studio. Whether through his DJ sets or live performances, Loek is renowned for dismantling the minds of the dancefloor, having brought his electronic alchemy to the controls of legendary parties like Ratherlost, Berghain's Saule, De School, pe:rsona, Refractor and many more. For MNMT 494 Loek Frey pilots a descent into uncharted sonic territories: a transmission from a haunted and murky alien world, unfolding as a piece of cinematic sound design for a forgotten sci-fi landscape. Hi-tech fragments, ghostly echoes and unconventional grooves weave through the dense atmosphere creating an ominous yet deeply alluring hypnotic pull. Hamburg's Shimmy Robin brings a kind of precision that feels alive — sharp edges wrapped in warmth. With her blipmotif nights at Golden Pudel Club, she's been shaping a sound both elegant and unpredictable, where rhythm turns into emotion and back again. Her Monument debut at Backsteinboot was loud, fearless, and beautifully unhinged — a peak-time charge that hit like a rotating flaming whip, all motion and fire. A set that burned straight through the night. Her first time with Monument, and definitely not the last. Follow: SC : https://soundcloud.com/shimmyrobin IG : https://www.instagram.com/shimmy.r0bin/

Surprise surprise.. The airplane flies at max altitude and speed, but we're not stopping, we're going to space. Mary Yuzovskaya and Philippa Pacho have just finished their sets. It's peak Saturday night. Lasers, smoke, hazy dreams and perfectly tuned F1's, even the trees are buzzing. The forest knows. Knows that a Japanese techno sensei is secretly entering Varden at 02:30 in the cover of darkness. The live set starts out with some form of a soft air raid alarm, but less sharp and ominous. “Is it DJ Nobu?” “Is it Wata Igarashi?” you hear all over the field. DOLTZ is a surprise, and not listed in the program. He continues with an ambient, almost psychedelic sound. Then slowly layering of all the little sounds that circle around the main beat, letting tension build, balancing experimental and driving techno. There are no sudden drops, but periods of pulling back before reintroducing energy to the dance floor. DOLTZ took us with him into what felt like a wormhole. The beat held us steady, but everything around it was spinning, stretching, and folding in on itself. The reactions from the Monument family were as different as they were similar. Some were jumping, some were shaking, others were dancing pirouettes, moving slowly, or standing still. At times, it was like being inside a centrifuge or a washing machine. Not dizzy, but surrounded, as if the sound pressed against the body. His set was a physical experience: immersive, disorienting, yet weirdly grounding at the same time. Friends, step into the rocketship and journey through the wormhole once again. Return to Doltz at Varden. The techno gods were smiling from ear to ear that night. “This set was recorded live 5-7pm, Saturday evening at Pe:rsona, 2025. The seemingly last dry-ish stretch and set of wild (weather) weekend, sunshowers made way for glistening droplets to sparkle through the shade sails and lay foundation for me to weave between deeper percussive cuts and shiny crystalline daytime techno.” Pjenné is a Naarm/Melbourne-based DJ, radio broadcaster, curator and label manager. Her musical identity is shaped by the expansive, psychedelic soundscapes of the southern bush, an influence that permeates her trance-inducing, progressive, and hypnotic selections. In the space where sound is stripped to its essential form, new worlds emerge. For our latest podcast, we welcome Hitam, an artist who operates as a true sonic architect, sculpting sound from its most granular elements. His work masterfully bridges the worlds of deep techno and avant-garde experimentalism, finding profound power not in overwhelming force, but in restrained intensity. The Amsterdam based producer's ultra finessed sounds have been released on the likes of Hayes, Somov, SYXT as well a string of exceptional recent releases on his own Rhiza Semar label. As a DJ he serves as a resident at the infamous Eerste Communie parties, as well as playing legendary institutions like Tresor, Bassiani, De School and more. “For this mix I wanted to trace a descent through shifting temporal layers; beginning in a state of suspension, slowly moving into trance-inducing motion before dissolving again into the subterranean. It travels from fluid, hypnotic rhythm into zones of disorientation and release; a process of acceleration, collapse, and renewal. Recorded as a continuous narrative rather than a set, it mirrors my current pull toward a landscape where ancient ritual and submerged hypnosis blend into an organic accelerated pulse where momentum and meditation intertwine beneath the surface.” Forget relentless peaks, this is techno that demands deep immersion, challenging yet deeply rewarding, a deep trip of tension and release on a microscopic level. A tale of masterfully executed cerebral hypnosis, told across two chapters of disintegration through terrains that feel simultaneously ancient and futuristic. A dialogue between soil and circuitry, pulse and void. Here we present a live recording from Franko sourced deep within the Norwegian woods at this years Fragments forest event. Words from the artist - This recording is from my closing set at the second forest rave we hosted with Fragments in the Norwegian woods this summer – a night that turned into our biggest production so far, and one I'm really proud of. The set starts in complete darkness, slowly building in tempo and groove, shifting into lighter melodies and psychedelic playfulness as the sun began to rise. Morning sets like these are some of my favorites: balancing the ups and downs, keeping people on the floor without pushing too hard, while leaving space to breathe. A mix of joy, freedom, and the quiet melancholy of summer coming to an end. As the sun rose over the hill behind me, we decided to extend the set by half an hour to let the first rays hit the dance floor through the smoke and create a truly magical morning. It gave me the chance to play some of the most beautiful tracks I know and gently bring everything to a halt. It was definitely one of the most fun and meaningful moments I've had behind the decks. When OK EG enters Varden it's 8:30PM on Sunday. It's been a slow and steady build during the day, much slower than the day before, people have been given time to rest properly from a late night on Saturday. This is the journey. The ebb and flow of the forest. It's their job to get the crowd going for the last couple of interval sprints. They are well rested and ready. OK EG's expansive sound is deep and diverse. Their compositions display a range that shifts between delicate, textural soundscapes, and spiralling, mesmerizing, mind-trip techno. They first went to Monument festival in 2024, taking a break from a residency at EMS in Stockholm to spend a weekend in the forest. They brought a field recorder with them and spent time on the riverbank recording the sound of stones and water. And listen to this level of dedication; while preparing for their live set in 2025, they used those recordings to write a closing track called Monument Stone. This is what they said about it. ”In the moment of performing it at the festival, we felt that everything came together. The crowd, the music and the site connected and it happened just as we'd imagined it.” During their set day turns to dusk. We transition together, ready for the night - the sound, nature, forest and lights. Hand in hand. Follow https://soundcloud.com/okegmusic https://www.instagram.com/okegmusic/

"This set was recorded at dawn on a Sunday morning, closing out a long day of incredibly inspiring music. I hadn't gone to bed yet and was so locked into the sound that by the time I started playing, I was already deep in a trance. I took over from Formant Value & Simone Bauer's live set, picking up the momentum where they left off, then gradually brought the BPM down, leaning into psychedelic textures and trance-laced rhythms. Those two hours flew by - we were all locked in. It's a rare kind of magic to do what you love in a place like Refractor, where most artists stay for the whole weekend to immerse themselves in the community and support each other. Music has this way of creating deep connections, and you could feel that throughout the festival. We were part of something unique. And the crowd... what can I say. Even after a full day of dancing, they stayed with me through the entire set, joining me on the sonic journey I was crafting to carry us into the morning." Swiss-born, London-based artist TSUNIMAN has gracefully imprinted the London scene with their spellbinding selections from the underground, spanning raw trance, spacey techno, tribal rhythms, and progressive delights. Fresh off the release of his outstanding album ‘Berlin' we welcome Felix K - a true purveyor of sophisticated, deep electronic music. His work explores the fringes of techno, jungle, dub, and ambient, building immersive sound worlds that defy easy categorization. Known for his meticulous approach to production and his ability to weave complex narratives through sound, Felix K has carved out a unique space for himself in the global underground scene. Operating at the frontiers of electronic music, Spekki Webu stands apart as a true architect of his own sonic universe. The visionary behind the Mirror Zone label and a highly prolific producer, his work - including an excellent debut album last year - is a testament to a relentless pursuit of the new, sculpting a sound that is both boundary pushing and universally mind-altering. Offering some insight into the deeply personal and experimental nature of this deep trip, the Dutch maestro explains: “This mix is mainly music by myself, upcoming music on the label and some unreleased tunes by friends. I have been exploring lots of different tempo's the last few months and also been reprocessing a lot of field recordings which have been layered a lot in this mix. You can almost say that this is a hybrid mix where I am live layering field recordings and processing them in real time. But the main focus is of course the DJ part. Slowly unfolding and blending from chapter to chapter, I don't engage my mixes as mixes anymore, more like this feeling of reading a few pages from my personal book. Minimalistic movements drowned in wider atmospheric arrangements within this story. A lot of this music in this mix has been made in the last months and dives into introspective moments. Blurring textures which have felt like clouded moments in my consciousness, like living in some sort of dream and moving on to the next stage. Preparing for changes. Waiting for new movements.” Follow: https://soundcloud.com/spekkiwebu https://www.instagram.com/spekkiwebu.mirrorzone https://spekkiwebu.bandcamp.com/ https://soundcloud.com/mirrorzone https://mirrorzone.bandcamp.com/ https://www.instagram.com/mirrorzone.records/

London-based artist Sybil is a true storyteller behind the decks, celebrated in equal measure for her cinematic take on techno as she is for crafting deep ambient journeys that soothe the soul. Whether for the dancefloor or for introspective listening, her selections are always guided by a distinct emotional depth, weaving intricate sonics with a healthy dose of psychedelia for good measure. Exploring the inspiration for this flawless session, Sybil describes it as: “I've dived deep into the ocean for this mix, a wave through time, flowing between psychedelia of the 70s, 90s, present-day and beyond. A modern take on 90s chillout mix CDs, a meditation on the ocean, a sun-soaked holographic daydream by the sea ~~~” Tune in now for a timeless deep trip through the past, present, and future. What's better than a mix from electronic music royalty Cio D'Or? Two mixes. This week we present something very special, a tale told across two chapters. As a mainstay of techno for over two decades, Cio D'Or has consistently pushed boundaries, gracing the decks of revered institutions worldwide and crafting a legendary discography with releases on Prologue, Semantica, Hypnus, Time to Express and more. Across both mixes you will hear Cio's unparalleled ability for sculpting minimalism and sonic architecture, masterfully recontextualizing familiar and obscure tracks alike, breathing new life into them and unveiling hidden dimensions. She dissects, reassembles and creates intricate connections between disparate sounds, all flawlessly executed with an alchemist's touch. Prisma 33 starts at a slower tempo, delicately building into an eruption of psychedelic minimalism. Dada grows with kinetic energy, with Cio sculpting sounds and textures into a deep trip where time seems to bend and dissolve, finishing with an unexpected wildcard that only a master selector could make work.
