Listeners of Monument Techno Podcast that love the show mention: techno music, edm, great listen, sounds, enjoy, awesome, love, work, always, listening, techno fans.
The Monument Techno Podcast has been my go-to podcast for years whenever I want to unwind and have some downtime. The atmosphere created in a lot of the mixes is incredibly captivating, and the quality of the mixes is consistently top-notch. This podcast is truly a gem that I treasure, and I am so grateful for the hard work that goes into producing it. Keep up the great work!
One of the best aspects of The Monument Techno Podcast is the variety it offers in terms of DJs and sets. There is something for everyone, whether you are a hardcore techno fan or someone who is just curious about techno music. The fact that a friend who isn't typically a fan of techno now asks me to send him new sets from this podcast speaks volumes about its quality and appeal. It has become his gateway into exploring this genre, which can only be seen as a positive thing.
The regularity of new episodes and their consistently high quality are also standout features of this podcast. Every episode feels like a treat, with each one offering a unique and immersive experience that never feels monotonous. The archive of techno music curated on this podcast, along with related links for more information about the tracks, makes it an invaluable resource for any techno fan.
However, there aren't many negatives to be found with The Monument Techno Podcast. Perhaps one downside could be that if you're not a fan of electronic dance music (EDM) or techno, then this podcast may not appeal to you as much. But for those who enjoy these genres or are open-minded enough to give them a chance, this podcast delivers an exceptional listening experience.
In conclusion, The Monument Techno Podcast is an absolute must-listen for anyone who loves electronic music, particularly techno. It provides a consistently high-quality selection of mixes from various DJs and offers an immersive journey into the world of synthesized sounds. Whether you're driving down the highway or doing some work, this podcast is the perfect soundtrack to clear your head and elevate your mood. I can't recommend it enough.

Aydin Imani joins us with a live recording of his session from the Fragments event series in the heart of Oslo, Norway. Some words from Aydin on the event - "This recording comes from our final @frgmnts gathering of the year in Oslo. It was a night shaped by reflection, curiosity, and the quiet satisfaction of having shared many meaningful moments over the past months. We wanted to end the year in a way that felt honest and fitting for where we were at the time. It was our first all-nighter of this kind, held in a new space, with a sense of curiosity and anticipation in the room. As the opening set, my idea was to mark a transition from the warmth of summer into a more introspective period, moving toward darker tones and colder days ahead in Norway (especially) . The dance floor felt warm, intense, and foggy. Smiles came easily, and that feeling stayed with us throughout the night. The set moves through different emotional shades, balancing playfulness and drive with moments of weight and inner tension, always aiming to keep the energy rolling and alive. Looking back, this night definitely stands out as a personal highlight. Seeing Fragments grow into something that resonates, offering people a space to reflect and feel free, made it especially meaningful." Follow : https://soundcloud.com/aydinho767 Tracklist : 1. “It was a last moment thing that we decided to change some parts of our live and just see where it would take us. I think when you find yourself at Mo:Dem, you always get a different vibe from what you've imagined, and this year we wanted to bring something more stripped down compared to the last one. I think this was our most fun and best one we played for Mo:Dem so far.” Recorded live at Mo:Dem Festival, this fusion of Spekki Webu and Feral is a powerful sonic catalyst, where the merging of two psychedelic techno maestros creates the ultimate techno Voltron. What emerges is a deep trip into sonic telepathy and high-fidelity minimalism, driven by high-octane rhythms and ominous sci-fi sounds that channel a raw, futuristic shamanic energy. “You never know what the other is going to play and that adds a lot of adrenaline. Then you can create something unique, a live patchwork, an improvised mosaic. Doubling the incertitude and the variables, you can definitely have more fun during the performance.” This mix, recorded live at Seed Stage at Mo:Dem Festival captures that exact friction, the moment where two distinct musical minds collide to form something entirely new. Across the three hours, the story unfolds with unconventional rhythms, experimental grooves and deep cerebral soundscapes that defy easy categorization. Spontaneous intuition evolves into a singular flow, where Spekki Webu's futuristic electronics meets the detailed, shifting layers of Mental. Hagva is the collaborative vision of CP1 and Not Mass, both key figures in the Milan-based collective Evolvere and core-project of Stagno Records, the emerging Italian label reshaping the experimental music scene with its bold and innovative approach. Recorded live at the legendary Omen Wapta Weekender at Garage Noord, this mix is a marathon descent down a rabbit hole of skeletal rhythms. Built on a philosophy of precision and rupture, the duo explores deep-seated resonances that cut with surgical intent, only to be dismantled by rhythms that break and reform in unpredictable and kinetic ways. We are thrilled to share Mary Yuzovskaya's set recorded live from Monument Festival 2025 as part of our MNMT 500 celebrations. Mary Yuzovskaya runs her set like an old but reliable steam engine locomotive. Except this train is going to Hogwarts. Mary is a responsible conductor, making sure everyone is on board, getting their bodies going at a steady pace, warming up the system for what's to come. Later. Her sound lives in a hypnotic but assertive space. The hypnotic part comes from steady patterns that loop and settle into the body. Rhythms that repeat long enough to quiet the thinking mind. You are not distracted by constant changes. The groove stays in place and draws you in through consistency. The whole Monument family is dancing in sync. Looking as good as ever. High in energy and anticipation. And then. The sky opens. But, we have our best lasers ON, saved for this occasion, saturday night, they weren't used on friday at all, and when the pouring rain hits the upgraded lasers, we have a million diamonds falling towards us. The crowd roars. Celebrates what nature throws at us. Surrenders to its will. No one left the dancefloor to seek refuge in their tents. No one. Mary Yuzovskaya responds... If you were there, you know that this was the start to what can only be described as the Champions League of festival night shifts. With Yuzovskaya, Pacho and Doltz seemingly playing one after another. Mary's job was to get the crowd going, but at the same time leave room for more. She delivered. Steve Bicknell enters the main room at The Villa, Oslo. With decades of experience, Bicknell plays with patience and intent. He does not rush the room. It takes about 25 minutes before he even remotely steps on gaspedal. His sound is rooted in deep and stripped back techno. Often influenced by dub, early UK and Detroit traditions. The set starts in the shadows, with sparse rhythms, low pressure. Early on, there is space. Space to arrive. Space to breathe. As the set continues, he builds through repetition. A new percussion line slips in almost unnoticed. A bassline tightens. The groove becomes firmer without becoming aggressive. Tracks are chosen for their texture and weight, with smooth transitions. The focus is on flow, and the dance floor is slowly pulled together. Later in the set, the pressure increases and the rhythm becomes more insistent. The bass becomes more physical. By this point, the room is locked into the hypnosis. Thank you Steve. And thank you to everyone who came to share this night with us Follow : https://soundcloud.com/steve-bicknell https://www.instagram.com/steve_bicknell/

Raär is a producer, live act, DJ and studio mastering engineer from Belgium. A true artist, who is not pinned down on one particular style or emotion: from soothing ambient to heavy and dark percussion based techno workouts to IDM-inspired takes on everything in-between. This live set was captured at the Stagno Records and Omen Wapta night in Milan last year and is one of his first longform live appearances. This set distills fragility and force into a compact, tactile listening experience. A rare snapshot of process in evolution: Raär's performance moves with restraint, built around unreleased material, early sketches from his Incentive LP (released on Omen Wapta earlier this year) and glimpses of what's to come in his collaboration with Stagno. Denise Rabe is a Berlin based DJ and producer. A true veteran selector, Rabe has commanded the booths of the most respected institutions, including Berghain, Tresor, Bassiani, cementing her reputation as an artist who creates worlds rather than just mixing tracks. Her studio output possesses an intoxicating depth and precision, with releases on the likes of Stroboscopic Artefacts, her own Rabe imprint and 30D Records, including her very recently released outstanding debut album ‘Transition' - a complex, high-fidelity deep space odyssey - essential listening. For this session, Rabe orchestrates a sonic narrative that exists in the liminal space between contrasting forces, effortlessly balancing the realm between darkness and light, melancholy and euphoria. The mix unfolds as a dark, hypnotic, and richly textured deep mind trip, where industrial rhythms are softened by depth and nuance. This is techno distilled to its primal core—raw, driving, and beautifully complex. Step into the abyss now. Samuel van Dijk is a true musical chameleon, a producer who moves fluidly between distinct sonic identities. Whether crafting electro-tinged works as VC-118A, deep dub textures as Mohlao, or the submerged aquatic soundscapes of Multicast Dynamics, his mastery of the craft is absolute. Recorded within the intimate glow of the Monument Festival after-party in Oslo, this session captures the final, tender exhale of a weekend defined by shared energy. Multicast Dynamics guides us into a restorative space where time dilates and the pulse slows. He navigates a kaleidoscope of genre and emotion. Shifting effortlessly between the meditative drift of new age, ethereal ambient soundscapes, and the grounded, organic rhythms of trip-hop and experimental world music, the set is unified by a palpable sense of warmth. Hailing from Yerevan, Armenia, Innersha is a producer and live artist who has created a fresh and sophisticated perspective on contemporary live techno. Her sound is a dense constellation of IDM intricacies, celestial textures, and deep techno grooves that drift effortlessly into the depths of mind-altering psychedelia. This unique sonic signature has already led to visionary live sets at revered institutions including Bassiani, Berghain's Säule, and Pe:rsona, alongside multiple performances at this year's Mo:Dem Festival. For this recording, Innersha moves between the physical and the ethereal, constructing a narrative that perfectly balances the tactile weight of rhythm with the weightlessness of space. It is a trip that feels both intimate and expansive, navigating through cycles of sonic construction and deconstruction. A deep cerebral excursion witnessing the formation of entirely new sonic dimensions. Reflecting on the process that shaped this session, Innersha shares: "The recording is an exploration of materials and impressions gathered throughout 2025. Across the year, I found myself working with percussive instruments, exploring the pulse and the subtle variations of repetition that come from real movement. Another part of this process was diving into ambient abstraction, constantly shifting atmospheres that reshape the context. In the dialogue between these two elements, a story began to form about collapse, rebirth, and the formation of new universes. The set was recorded in my studio in Yerevan, where most of the days drift into exploring sound." Turn the volume high and lose yourself in a new realm of sound. MNMT Recordings : Hewan Aman — Kune Festival 2025 “KUNE was one of my favorite festival experiences this summer. It was an absolute honor to be invited, especially for a set surrounded by fellow story tellers and music selectors I deeply admire. Wild and generous location, giving so much space to move at your own rhythm. I felt connected to the beautiful community that gathers there and held by the presence of the sea, which was like a constant anchor. The curation stood out. Long sets, excellent sound, beautifully designed stages, and this subtle intensity I keep finding in Denmark. I learned about Yndelov ~ a kind of quiet code that encourages not thinking you're better than anyone, even when doing something exceptional. I found that spirit present in the way the festival was curated and lived ~ generous, grounded, and without ego. My set took place between 3 and 6am, in the belly of the Vessel stage, a concrete bunker. The sun rose halfway through ~ I didn't see it directly, but witnessing it light up people's faces as they danced was equally moving. Squeezed in between Peachlyfe's dreamy vibe, and Lund & Ronde goblin psy ride I really couldn't be happier. Big love and thanks to the KUNE family. Really happy to be sharing the recording.” Hewan Aman is a DJ, sound explorer and artist whose sets move between deep bass, atmospheric layers and emotionally-charged rhythms. Drawing from dub, trance, breaks and experimental club music, she plays with contrasts ~ shadow and light, softness and impact ~ creating space for both introspection and collective release. Captured live from the concrete belly of the Vessel stage, this set chronicles Hewan Aman's masterful three-hour navigation from the depths of night into the first light of dawn at Kune Festival. The journey begins in shadow, moving through darker, psychedelic territories, with the mix evolving as the sun begins to rise, skillfully evolving and giving way to an ascendant wave of deeper, euphoric, trancey luminosity. Loek Frey is a producer, DJ and live artist from the Netherlands whose work defies easy categorization. Blurring the lines between techno, experimental, IDM, and ambient, he crafts a sound that is at the very forefront of avant-garde electronics. His exceptional releases on Omen Wapta & his own OQAD perfectly demonstrate his mind-bending expertise and finesse in the studio. Whether through his DJ sets or live performances, Loek is renowned for dismantling the minds of the dancefloor, having brought his electronic alchemy to the controls of legendary parties like Ratherlost, Berghain's Saule, De School, pe:rsona, Refractor and many more. For MNMT 494 Loek Frey pilots a descent into uncharted sonic territories: a transmission from a haunted and murky alien world, unfolding as a piece of cinematic sound design for a forgotten sci-fi landscape. Hi-tech fragments, ghostly echoes and unconventional grooves weave through the dense atmosphere creating an ominous yet deeply alluring hypnotic pull. Hamburg's Shimmy Robin brings a kind of precision that feels alive — sharp edges wrapped in warmth. With her blipmotif nights at Golden Pudel Club, she's been shaping a sound both elegant and unpredictable, where rhythm turns into emotion and back again. Surprise surprise.. The airplane flies at max altitude and speed, but we're not stopping, we're going to space. Mary Yuzovskaya and Philippa Pacho have just finished their sets. It's peak Saturday night. Lasers, smoke, hazy dreams and perfectly tuned F1's, even the trees are buzzing. The forest knows. Knows that a Japanese techno sensei is secretly entering Varden at 02:30 in the cover of darkness. The live set starts out with some form of a soft air raid alarm, but less sharp and ominous. “Is it DJ Nobu?” “Is it Wata Igarashi?” you hear all over the field. DOLTZ is a surprise, and not listed in the program. He continues with an ambient, almost psychedelic sound. Then slowly layering of all the little sounds that circle around the main beat, letting tension build, balancing experimental and driving techno. There are no sudden drops, but periods of pulling back before reintroducing energy to the dance floor. DOLTZ took us with him into what felt like a wormhole. The beat held us steady, but everything around it was spinning, stretching, and folding in on itself. The reactions from the Monument family were as different as they were similar. Some were jumping, some were shaking, others were dancing pirouettes, moving slowly, or standing still. At times, it was like being inside a centrifuge or a washing machine. Not dizzy, but surrounded, as if the sound pressed against the body. His set was a physical experience: immersive, disorienting, yet weirdly grounding at the same time. Friends, step into the rocketship and journey through the wormhole once again. Return to Doltz at Varden. The techno gods were smiling from ear to ear that night. “This set was recorded live 5-7pm, Saturday evening at Pe:rsona, 2025. The seemingly last dry-ish stretch and set of wild (weather) weekend, sunshowers made way for glistening droplets to sparkle through the shade sails and lay foundation for me to weave between deeper percussive cuts and shiny crystalline daytime techno.” Pjenné is a Naarm/Melbourne-based DJ, radio broadcaster, curator and label manager. Her musical identity is shaped by the expansive, psychedelic soundscapes of the southern bush, an influence that permeates her trance-inducing, progressive, and hypnotic selections. In the space where sound is stripped to its essential form, new worlds emerge. For our latest podcast, we welcome Hitam, an artist who operates as a true sonic architect, sculpting sound from its most granular elements. His work masterfully bridges the worlds of deep techno and avant-garde experimentalism, finding profound power not in overwhelming force, but in restrained intensity. The Amsterdam based producer's ultra finessed sounds have been released on the likes of Hayes, Somov, SYXT as well a string of exceptional recent releases on his own Rhiza Semar label. As a DJ he serves as a resident at the infamous Eerste Communie parties, as well as playing legendary institutions like Tresor, Bassiani, De School and more. “For this mix I wanted to trace a descent through shifting temporal layers; beginning in a state of suspension, slowly moving into trance-inducing motion before dissolving again into the subterranean. It travels from fluid, hypnotic rhythm into zones of disorientation and release; a process of acceleration, collapse, and renewal. Recorded as a continuous narrative rather than a set, it mirrors my current pull toward a landscape where ancient ritual and submerged hypnosis blend into an organic accelerated pulse where momentum and meditation intertwine beneath the surface.” Forget relentless peaks, this is techno that demands deep immersion, challenging yet deeply rewarding, a deep trip of tension and release on a microscopic level. A tale of masterfully executed cerebral hypnosis, told across two chapters of disintegration through terrains that feel simultaneously ancient and futuristic. A dialogue between soil and circuitry, pulse and void. Here we present a live recording from Franko sourced deep within the Norwegian woods at this years Fragments forest event. Words from the artist - This recording is from my closing set at the second forest rave we hosted with Fragments in the Norwegian woods this summer – a night that turned into our biggest production so far, and one I'm really proud of. The set starts in complete darkness, slowly building in tempo and groove, shifting into lighter melodies and psychedelic playfulness as the sun began to rise. Morning sets like these are some of my favorites: balancing the ups and downs, keeping people on the floor without pushing too hard, while leaving space to breathe. A mix of joy, freedom, and the quiet melancholy of summer coming to an end. As the sun rose over the hill behind me, we decided to extend the set by half an hour to let the first rays hit the dance floor through the smoke and create a truly magical morning. It gave me the chance to play some of the most beautiful tracks I know and gently bring everything to a halt. It was definitely one of the most fun and meaningful moments I've had behind the decks. When OK EG enters Varden it's 8:30PM on Sunday. It's been a slow and steady build during the day, much slower than the day before, people have been given time to rest properly from a late night on Saturday. This is the journey. The ebb and flow of the forest. It's their job to get the crowd going for the last couple of interval sprints. They are well rested and ready. OK EG's expansive sound is deep and diverse. Their compositions display a range that shifts between delicate, textural soundscapes, and spiralling, mesmerizing, mind-trip techno. They first went to Monument festival in 2024, taking a break from a residency at EMS in Stockholm to spend a weekend in the forest. They brought a field recorder with them and spent time on the riverbank recording the sound of stones and water. And listen to this level of dedication; while preparing for their live set in 2025, they used those recordings to write a closing track called Monument Stone. This is what they said about it. ”In the moment of performing it at the festival, we felt that everything came together. The crowd, the music and the site connected and it happened just as we'd imagined it.” During their set day turns to dusk. We transition together, ready for the night - the sound, nature, forest and lights. Hand in hand. Follow https://soundcloud.com/okegmusic https://www.instagram.com/okegmusic/

"This set was recorded at dawn on a Sunday morning, closing out a long day of incredibly inspiring music. I hadn't gone to bed yet and was so locked into the sound that by the time I started playing, I was already deep in a trance. I took over from Formant Value & Simone Bauer's live set, picking up the momentum where they left off, then gradually brought the BPM down, leaning into psychedelic textures and trance-laced rhythms. Those two hours flew by - we were all locked in. It's a rare kind of magic to do what you love in a place like Refractor, where most artists stay for the whole weekend to immerse themselves in the community and support each other. Music has this way of creating deep connections, and you could feel that throughout the festival. We were part of something unique. And the crowd... what can I say. Even after a full day of dancing, they stayed with me through the entire set, joining me on the sonic journey I was crafting to carry us into the morning."
