Listeners of Monument Techno Podcast that love the show mention:The Monument Techno Podcast has been my go-to podcast for years whenever I want to unwind and have some downtime. The atmosphere created in a lot of the mixes is incredibly captivating, and the quality of the mixes is consistently top-notch. This podcast is truly a gem that I treasure, and I am so grateful for the hard work that goes into producing it. Keep up the great work!
One of the best aspects of The Monument Techno Podcast is the variety it offers in terms of DJs and sets. There is something for everyone, whether you are a hardcore techno fan or someone who is just curious about techno music. The fact that a friend who isn't typically a fan of techno now asks me to send him new sets from this podcast speaks volumes about its quality and appeal. It has become his gateway into exploring this genre, which can only be seen as a positive thing.
The regularity of new episodes and their consistently high quality are also standout features of this podcast. Every episode feels like a treat, with each one offering a unique and immersive experience that never feels monotonous. The archive of techno music curated on this podcast, along with related links for more information about the tracks, makes it an invaluable resource for any techno fan.
However, there aren't many negatives to be found with The Monument Techno Podcast. Perhaps one downside could be that if you're not a fan of electronic dance music (EDM) or techno, then this podcast may not appeal to you as much. But for those who enjoy these genres or are open-minded enough to give them a chance, this podcast delivers an exceptional listening experience.
In conclusion, The Monument Techno Podcast is an absolute must-listen for anyone who loves electronic music, particularly techno. It provides a consistently high-quality selection of mixes from various DJs and offers an immersive journey into the world of synthesized sounds. Whether you're driving down the highway or doing some work, this podcast is the perfect soundtrack to clear your head and elevate your mood. I can't recommend it enough.

Recorded during the early hours of Sunday morning at Garage Noord at the Omen Wapta Weekender, this live set from Formant Value captures the essence of a weekend that transcended the club experience—where sound, space, and shared energy merged into something truly transformative. Opening in slow motion, the set unfolds with a deep, psychedelic ambient current—echoes, pulses, and dub textures forming a wide sonic horizon. What follows is a steady, organic rise into tribal techno rhythms and hi-tech structures, maintaining a sense of spaciousness even at its most kinetic. It's a set that mirrors the architecture of the night itself: meditative, then elevating, then dissolving again. There are no sharp corners—just flow. Time felt suspended. Movement turned internal. And in the foggy warmth of the dancefloor, listeners were gently guided through a collective dreamspace. Formant Value is known for his unique & sophisticated sound, that defies easy categorisation whilst nodding in the direction of downtempo, dub and IDM, with elements of D'n'B, trance and techno. His music has been released by a number of labels including Lowless Records, Well Street Records, Rgd tribe and Annulled Music. Adept at sustaining the fine tension between dancefloor energy and audiophile precision of intent home listening, Formant Value brings a uniquely fresh take on contemporary club music. There's a rhythm to how the festival unfolds. Thursday opens slowly, almost like a breath in. By Friday night, the pulse is stronger, but not too heavy. Monument festival had settled into its rhythm, and Kia and Polygonia stepped into the wooden dj-booth together. The forest floor was vibrating, the crowd fully present. Their set matched the moment—playful, warm, and alive. It felt like Friday was always meant to sound like this. Varden became their playground. This was more than a strong back-to-back. Two years earlier, they met here, both playing solo, both part of the Monument line-up for the first time. This night marked an anniversary of their friendship. From solo artists to close friends, now creating something special together. Means&3rd aka Ben Marsden joins us for episode 469 with an extensive session covering over 2 hours worth of techno territory. The Manchester based artist can be found behind the counter at the legendary Eastern Bloc Records where he fronts the house and techno curation for the shop. He has leveraged his exposure to the latest sounds there to promote his own Unveiled Nuance events and label as well as securing performances at events throughout the country. Some words from Ben - "I aimed to create something that reflects where I am sonically right now. The aesthetic of the deeper sound has expanded so much lately, touching on all sorts of BPM's and vibes, and I've really been loving every bit of it. This music requires some patience and a commitment to fully appreciate it, which is one of the reasons it continues to captivate me so much. I also wanted to give a huge shout-out to all the incredible artists featured in this mix; there's so much amazing music out there right now., and a massive thank you to the Monument team as well—I'm genuinely grateful for this opportunity " Follow : Soundcloud - https://soundcloud.com/means3rd Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/means_3rd/ Labels Bandcamp - https://means3rd.bandcamp.com/ Monument x Carbon Carbon is a new music platform designed by and for fans of electronic music. There is a big black heart in Barcelona that it is still beating. Three weeks later, we're still digesting the magic that was the fourth edition of Mostra festival. From the most intimate listening moments to collective catharsis on the dancefloor, this year was something else. Starting from the end this year, we're proud to present the recorded closing set from Mostra's resident ABSIS, who delivered a deeply emotional finale that distilled everything Mostra stands for: a blend of force, finesse, energy and passion — all woven into one. Across four editions, countless moments, different days and stages, ABSIS has always been there: reading the different dance floors, adapting, connecting the dots between sound and feelings. Being a resident is more than just playing; it's embodying the festival's pulse, giving it identity and continuity, and raising the collective experience to another level. If you've journeyed with Mostra through the years, you know how central ABSIS (alongside Timnah and Patrick Russell) has been to shaping that Mostra spirit. If you haven't yet, you may find the chance next year. And now, for the first time: ABSIS closing the festival. A powerful tribute to what it means to support the local scene, not just by listing names from the city, but by creating moments like this one that matters. Menal Batti is a DJ and resident at the infamous filtr parties in Brno. With a profound passion for 90s techno, Menal Batti seamlessly blends forgotten deep cuts with the freshest contemporary sounds, all while intertwining her Kurdish heritage into her musical narrative, drawing inspiration from her father's saz—a traditional instrument symbolizing her cultural roots. “The intent behind this mix was to create something close to the chest that unfolds quietly. It moves with weight and tenderness, guided by feelings of tension, spaciousness and I would say even a trace of mysticism. I'm personally drawn to opposites and like to juxtapose softness and pressure, clarity and haze, ultimately enabling for my music to inhabit those in-betweens. For me, it's not about reaching a peak, but about shaping a space or perhaps even a void you can disappear into.” Follow soundcloud.com/menal_batti https://www.instagram.com/menal_batti/ Monument x Carbon Carbon is a new music platform designed by and for fans of electronic music. Master of futuristic, high-fidelity electronics, Pianeti Sintetici returns for a mind-bending edition of MNMT Live, recorded earlier this year at the Opificio party at Argo126 in Venice. “In this live I wanted to express different facets of my sound, there are stems of many new productions that will be released in the future. I tried to combine everything with the sonic aesthetics of Opificio and I think I reached a good compromise between drum n bass, IDM and techno. I hope it can evoke at least in part the emotions of that night.” Can't get enough? Catch Pianeti Sintetici bending minds and the very fabric of reality at Monument Festival 2025. Not to be missed. Mariachiara Troianiello, the Italian sound artist behind the moniker Katatonic Silentio, works at the crossroads of electronic music, performing arts and sound studies. Active as a DJ for more than 15 years, her sets adopt multiple forms, fluctuating between an analogue past and a technological, fast-paced future. At times, her sets focus on pure abstraction, consisting of ethereal soundscapes that seek to transcend the tangible through a mix of musique concrète, world, spoken word, ambient or dub. At others, they come across as concrete and club-oriented, crossing techno, broken beats or drum'n'bass. For MNMT 457, Katatonic Silentio presents this exceptional mix that intricately evolves with subtle and nuanced layers into a delicate yet mind-bending trip of unconventional rhythms and textures. Nadia Struiwigh is a producer, live artist, DJ and resident of Tresor. Her music spans ambient, electro and techno and has been featured on labels like Nous'klaer Audio, Dekmantel and Central Processing Unit. In 2024 she founded the label Distorted Waves focussing on hardware-centered, more experimental works. Her DJ sets explore driving and psychedelic techno, while also delving into deeper sounds, while her live sets are known for their unique sonic improvisation. “An ode to the sounds and storytelling I'll continue to explore from here on out. After the pandemic, I felt a bit unmoored. Spending time in Australia distanced me from the European scene, and I found myself feeling quite lost. Once I returned, I initially focused on Techno, but soon realized my true foundation has always been experimental music and narrative-driven performances—whether in my own productions, live sets, or DJ sets. I'm grateful to have rediscovered my creative center, and I'm excited to share this next chapter. I'm fully back, with more jungle and ambient experimental releases on the way! “The mix was recorded in Melbourne a few days after my experience at Diega, a beautiful outdoor festival, or bush "doof" as Australians call them. The mix is essentially resuming a day in a doof. It starts with slow/chill sounds in the morning, moving towards groovy afternoon euphoria, and finally ending more techno oriented for evening vibes. I want to dedicate this work to the people I spent time with during the last two months I've been touring, in Australia and Asia!” Severja is a multi-disciplinary artist, DJ and founder of the legendary Midgar records. As we turn the page to 2025, we find ourselves reflecting on the powerful moments that defined the Monument Festival last year. One such memory was the opening ceremony led by the incredible Sarah Wreath. A sonic experience that set the tone for connection, introspection, and renewal. The intention behind Sarah's live set was clear: to create a meditative space where festivalgoers could connect deeply—with one another, the natural surroundings of Veggli, and, most importantly, with themselves. It was more than music; it was an invitation to embark on a transformative journey, bridging ancient and modern worlds through sound. Her performance blended electronic synthesis with acoustic elements, weaving together indigenous, ethereal, and psychedelic sounds. The result was a hypnotic tapestry of tribal ambient rhythms, designed to ground us in the moment while opening our hearts to new possibilities. Central to the experience was the use of pure tones tuned to 432 Hz and 216 Hz, frequencies known for their cosmic harmony and healing properties: 432 Hz, often called “natural tuning,” resonated with the rhythm of the universe, fostering relaxation and emotional balance. 216 Hz, a harmonic counterpart, enhanced the meditative quality of the performance, drawing listeners deeper into themselves. A standout element of the ceremony was Sarah's use of a Chao Gong, amplified with a contact microphone and enriched with FX processing. Its deep bass frequencies (110 Hz) created a grounding effect, while layers of Tibetan singing bowls and other meditative instruments brought a celestial dimension to the soundscapes. Together, these elements formed a sonic portal—a sacred opening to the festival and the year ahead. As we welcome 2025, we hold this memory as a symbol of renewal and intention. Sarah's performance wasn't just the beginning of the festival, it was a new beginning for all of us, a reminder of the power of music to heal, connect, and inspire. Here's to carrying that spirit of harmony and connection forward into the new year. May 2025 bring even more moments that resonate with the heart and soul. At Varden, the fusion of nature and music becomes reality, and Detroit-based artist Erika made it her playground. The Monument Family moved as one, a sea of smiling faces and dancing bodies flowing in sync, like waves in an ocean. Carried by her deep, hypnotic, and atmospheric sounds. Dancers look on with childlike awe at the projections on the surrounding trees around Varden, painted by light in all of the colors of the rainbow. Smoke is suddenly coming in from the side, taking the shape of fog you can see over water sometimes. Time moved in slow motion, and all that could penetrate the fog was laser beams. It felt like being inside a lightning storm in a cloud. The ultimate synaesthesia vortex unfolding right before our eyes. Erika's music felt alive, creating moments where the boundaries between nature, technology, and human connection blurred. As if the trees Varden was built with helped her to fine-tune the sound. Those who danced that night weren't just hearing techno, they became one with it under the stars. Tune in now for Erika's set closing the Varden stage on Saturday night of Monument Festival 2024. We have just under 500 tickets left for Monument Festival 2025. Secure the ones you need now. Commanding the highest levels of sonic alchemy, master shaman Woody92 unleashed a masterful session of deep cerebral hypnosis atop the Spanish Pyrnees mountains to close out the second night of Paral·lel Festival 2024. With each track laying down a new piece of the puzzle, Woody intricately assembled together a masterpiece while simultaneously disassembling the minds of the mountain dwellers. As the horns signalled the closing of the session and all pieces were perfectly placed the tour de force was complete, leaving the dancers left trying to piece their minds back together. We are happy to welcome Oslo based Henrii Havaas for Episode 443. Henrii provides us a winding traverse through her selections perfectly blended in syncronisation she offered her own comments on the trip. "For this mix, I was inspired by the beautiful autumn season here in Norway, where the days are getting darker each day, and outside, it's either foggy or sunny with cold, crisp air. The mix has a slow and long entrance through the ambient landscape and goes into waves of faster hypnotic rhythms, representing a journey of a little ritual or something. I hope you enjoy listening to it." Follow : https://soundcloud.com/henriiiii https://www.instagram.com/henriihavaas/
fleika grew up during the heyday of Prague's rave culture, coming of age as a DJ in booths built for a single night only. The Czech techno renaissance formed him, then the newly-born club culture embraced him as one of its main protagonists. The Ankali resident digs anything that kicks, melts or makes one's mind trip, but mainly thrives on diving into the vast depths of hypnotic and psychedelic techno – as deep as it gets. fleika shared a few words about the mix: "I always enjoy having enough time to express myself, whether at live events or on podcasts. An hour is barely enough to dive into my favorite places. In this mix, I kept it groovy while exploring deeper territories, reflecting my outlook on life in general." “I've crafted this mix with dubby rhythms and hazy, melodic textures to offer you a space for relaxation and reflection. With all the deception and darkness in the world today, I wanted to share a bit of calm - a way to escape the noise and find some clarity. This mix is my own response to everything that feels overwhelming, an invitation to just breathe, reconnect, and ground yourself. The more we feel connected and strong, the better we can help others. I hope these sounds carry you to a place of inner peace, where calm rises up through the haze…” Mareena is a DJ, producer and founder of the amazing podcast, label and event series UNRUSH.
