This summer marks 6 years in the podcasting business for hosts and brothers Clayton and Corbin. They thought it would be nice to give the newer audience a deep cut episode rewind in the form of their first ever episode of a podcast. Back then, they were CP to the 2nd Degree (a perfectly marketable and relatable brand name) and had been toying with the idea of starting a podcast when a certain movie hit theaters. That move was Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Corbin and Clayton knew their voices needed to be heard! So enjoy this throwback. Hopefully the audio is not too atrocious for you all to enjoy this look at where The Nerdosphere was born. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/thenerdosphere/support

When this movie hit theatres 4 years ago, Co-host, Frank Maguire, was definitely among the many who couldn't get beyond the bus sized plot holes, lack of character development and what he thought at the time, was a fundamental failure to understand the true nature of these characters. But once Frank saw the EXTENDED cut of BvS: Dawn of Justice. He quickly became one of it's biggest champions, and now, he holds it dear as a true work of genius. Maybe you share his point of view, maybe you vehemently disagree. But I think the one thing we can all unequivocally agree on when it comes to this film. Is that it has this innate ability to spark conversation and debate when ever it comes up. In Part 1 of this Retrospective, Frank is joined by his friend Eran Dahan to take a look back at the EXTENDED cut of BvS. So join them as they examine what is probably the most debated and discussed DC Movie of all time. Is it an under appreciated masterpiece from a misunderstood genius? Or is it as bad as the naysayers say? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/meanwhile-back-on-the-podcast/message
