There are a million problems in the universe, but it is also true that if there are problems, there must be solutions. We are all battling one major problem - pollution. Can you think of utilizing pollution to create something useful? Here comes the problem solver, Arpit Dhupar, who has converted black smoke into useful ink and is using it in printing. His company is called ‘Chakr’. Arpit is here to share the background story with RJ Sharat and will convince you to believe that nothing is impossible and sky is the limit.
Black pollution is the new green in India, as Bharti Singhla points out in this episode. A chemical engineer, Bharti’s the executive vice president of strategy for Chakr.in--a start-up founded in 2015 that’s innovating a way to clear the air in a nation that according to the WHO has 14 of the 15 most polluted cities on the planet. How are they doing that? Well, Chakr’s invented a shield that captures deadly black diesel exhaust and converts that pollution into ink that Chakr then sells. Already some big Indian emitters are capping their diesel pipes, and Chakr is winning all types of grants, awards, investment, and yes, media attention. Even the prestigious World Economic Forum has taken note of the young start-up, profiling them as an innovative environmental problem-solver, and the company founders were named in Forbes’ 30 under 30 list of social entrepreneurs.
Change is such an incredibly beautiful expression of the Divine. At our very core we are destined for movement. We exist in a spiral universe. We're made of energy which is always in movement, we're physically comprised of water which always flows and physically we were gifted with a vessel that was created to move, to stretch, to expand and experience life to reflect the innate nature of this universe we chose to be a part of. This aspect of change is a gift of the heart. Its the trust and surrender that our soul is orchestrating this all on our behalf and every form of movement is what is now highest aligned for us or carrying us to a higher destination. It also gives us hope in the moments that are dark and heavy that this two will pass. Everything has to continue moving. It is the universal law. Nothing is permanent and because of that this gives us an even greater sense of gratitude and appreciation for how incredibly brief each and every human experience is.
