Sunday morning message from the pulpit of Falls Baptist Church
If someone were to sincerely come up and ask you: "What is the Christian life?" How would you describe it? Let's pause this week and ask ourselves this same question. By doing so, it may lead us to pause and reflect—and perhaps learn something from the One who abides within. Has our belief in Jesus Christ been turned into something that can be found in the smorgasbord of most of the thousands of other religions that are out there? Have we shrunk what was meant to be a supernatural, interactive relationship down to a "to-do" list of rigorous religious routines that focus more on the external ... while leading many towards self-condemnation and the judging of others? Maybe (just maybe) life in Christ is far wider, longer, higher, and deeper than what we have known. Perhaps God wants us to experience Him in a way that abundantly exceeds our limited assumptions—significantly beyond what we could ask or think regarding the doctrines of men, theology, and Bible interpretations. You want this. In fact, you inwardly long for it ... and the good news is ... God wants you to have it. --Available on Amazon - "Clash of The Covenants: Escaping Religious Bondage Through the Grace Guarantee" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0713ZSKY7

Have you ever had a moment that completely turned your life around? In a heartfelt conversation with Dave Nodar, founder of ChristLife, he opened up about that pivotal moment when Jesus' love washed over him, sparking a deep, personal transformation and setting him ablaze with the desire to spread the Good News. Together, we dive deep into why evangelization isn't just a task for the few but a calling for all of us. Dave puts it powerfully, saying, “If you're baptized, no exceptions. It's not just for missionary orders. This is for all of us. That means all the diocesan clergy and the laity, all of us are called to be missionaries.” Dave didn't stop at just words; he brought ChristLife to life to empower parishes to echo the Gospel's core message loud and clear. ChristLife helps individuals mature in their faith and equips them to share their faith with others. Tune in to hear: Dave Nodar's personal journey: From the hippie counterculture to a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ. The role of evangelization: How it revitalizes the Catholic Church and its parishes by rediscovering their missionary identity. The ChristLife process: A 21-week relational program designed to help parishioners discover, follow, and share Christ. What are we to do when we are faced with the promotion of sin at the market, at our job, or in the government? Steve, Dana, and Lee tackle t his topic on this episode.*********************************************************************Library Ladder Links: Believer's Baptism: Sign of the New Covenant in ChristLife in the Father's House by Wayne A. A football star in high school, Steve sought his identity in sports. Yet all this changed at age 17 when he heard the Gospel preached at a Young Life Camp in the Rockies. Giving his life to Christ, he was soon foisted into leadership to fellow students at Texas Tech. There on a football scholarship, he became active in his school's chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes—then the largest in the country—and was soon asked to preach and teach. Though he dreaded standing before crowds at first, he soon grew passionate about proclaiming the hope of Christ to others. Sharing his debt to other great preachers in his lifetime, including John MacArthur and James Montgomery Boice, Steve draws attention to two great preachers from the past—Charles Spurgeon and George Whitefield—whose favorite word was, “Come!” His point: while we must rest our evangelistic efforts solely on the sovereignty of God, we must also preach to the lost with urgency. Steve currently serves as the president of OnePassion Ministries, which is dedicated to training men to faithfully exposit the Scriptures, verse-by-verse, with a passion for God and His glory.
If we are going to live in and through Christ, the question becomes how do we do it? Scripture makes it clear that it is not through mental toughness and physical talent, but through allowing God to live His live in and through us. In this message, we examine the concept of practical living, “work,” and “doing things for God”—but in the biblical context of being filled with God's life and Spirit.
As Christians, we are called to live from and through the life of Christ. Because we have been crucified with Christ, we are no longer our own, for we have been bought with a price. As we start this new series examining “Life in the Word,” Nathan sets the foundation by talking about the importance of abiding and abounding in Jesus Christ.
