Either we're going to war with blue states or aliens, or maybe we're about to turn on Skynet, AI slop causing psychosis and making truth impossible to find, Kirk Memorial goes WWE Raw, Trump plans to put AI in charge of bioweapons, Kash covers up Homan's cash bribe, akidominipoon causes Autism, they tore down our favorite DC statue, and Bibi speaks to an empty UN audience.
We explore the often-overlooked importance of spiritual foundations in both personal life and national identity, emphasizing how our religious freedoms were hard-won by previous generations who faced persecution simply for reading the Bible. The home and family serve as the foundation for cultural transformation, with parents having the greatest opportunity to shape future generations through intentional spiritual guidance.• Our founding fathers recognized the Bible's importance, even passing acts of Congress to ensure Bible availability during the Revolutionary War• Marriage guidance from Colossians 3:18-21 provides timeless principles for healthy family relationships• Parents build national culture by making home a refuge rather than just a "pit stop" between activities• Vigilance and spiritual alertness are necessary as we don't know when Christ will return• Andrew Jackson warned that America's greatest threats come from within, not from foreign powers• Ideologies incompatible with liberty include socialism, communism, and "Christless conservatism"God bless you all, God bless your families and marriages, and God bless America and your nations wherever you are in the world.Support the showThe American Soul Podcasthttps://www.buzzsprout.com/1791934/subscribe

They won't take responsibility for bad behaviourNarcissists won't apologise for the distress they cause. It's always someone else's fault. They'll say: ‘I had to do this because you said that!' Normal people might not speak to their partners for a while after an argument, but eventually they'll sidle up, mumble an apology and accept some of the blame. But the narcissist won't, as he doesn't think like that.2. They're charming in public but controlling in privateNarcissists are like chameleons. They might goad you with hurtful comments before a night out with friends until they elicit an emotional reaction. Then, at dinner, they're the life and soul, while you're subdued because they've made you feel terrible. Effectively, they've made you look like ‘the crazy one'.This shape-shifting behaviour makes it harder for people to believe you when you tell them what they're really like. ‘But they always seem so nice,' they'll say.3. Whether overt or covert, all narcissists crave attentionThere are two main types of narcissist. The ‘overt' type, who might be your boss, walks into a room and commands attention. It's their way or the highway. The ‘covert' narcissist is harder to recognise. Despite being privately controlling, in public they play the victim. If you've got a cold, they've got the flu. They might complain about their partner, so friends say: ‘But you're such a good husband!' They, too, demand attention and praise. We therapists call it ‘narcissistic supply'.4. Most people feel bad if they hurt someone. Narcissists don't!We can all be selfish or unfeeling, but the difference between a narcissist and the rest of us is that we do usually feel empathy for others. If we hurt somebody, we'll feel bad and want to make it right. A narcissist is devoid of empathy.5. They're as brattish as a toddler and always have to winThe narcissist has the mindset of a three-year-old, and only their needs matter. If they're your partner or boss, you'll walk on eggshells to keep the peace. If you find fault, they'll shout, go silent, or retaliate with a personal attack. The narcissist always wants to win.6. They're accomplished at gaslighting behaviourA narcissist will manipulate you until you question your own sanity. You might see a mysterious text on your partner's phone, but if you ask who it was, they'll say: ‘Don't be ridiculous, there's nothing there.' If you insist you saw it, they'll shift the focus to your behaviour. ‘You're such a drama queen!' they'll say. You wind up feeling as though you're in the wrong.https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-13170559/data-lab-leak-incidents-us.htmlCould the next pandemic come from within? This week… The degenerates were on one! Kärel had a few pre-show beers and he was ranting and rambling. Seamo beat the Urban Dictionary while Kärel found out he's not much of a raconteur or speller. Andy hopped on to fill in the fellas on all things Wisco sports and they made SuperBowl predictions. They shot darts to finally pick a new weekly challenge. Next they dove into challenge talk and they're actually doing it. Max and Kärel are training for a 5k and Seamo's adding new hops to the live stream ingredients. Kärel and Max discussed their struggles and accomplishments training. They ended things by reading a fellow degenerate's email and tried to lend a hand… Kärel take it away! Hugh Hefner and the Playboy Mansion are pop culture icons... but is it all a lie? Today's guest, Crystal Hefner sets the record straight on her life with the man behind the silk pajamas as she releases her memoir "Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself." When she was 21 years old, then Crystal Harris, submitted her photo to attend a Halloween party at the Mansion and got the invite that would change her life forever. Up until then, she had studied psychology at San Diego State and done some modeling, but soon after meeting Hef she was whisked off into the "girlfriend" life of glamorous parties, reality TV and fame. A self proclaimed introvert, Crystal, had lost her dad an early age and had a string of bad relationships that made her new life seem fun and exciting at first, but it had a dark side. She quickly became Hef's #1 Girlfriend and with a marriage proposal, that wasn't much of a proposal at all, Crystal lost her identity and felt trapped in a life out of her control. Her writing has appeared in New York Magazine, the Paris Review, Elle, Glamour, and many other publications. She is a former Washington State Book Award finalist and has held residencies at Ragdale and the Mineral School. Alongside her writing, Kristi also teaches creative writing and offers editorial consulting services. She lives with her husband and dog in Seattle and Los Angeles.I had to have Kristi on the podcast to discuss her latest book, Exit Interview, The Life and Death of My Ambitious Career.Taken from KristiCoulter.com:What would you sacrifice for your career? All your free time? Your sense of self-worth? Your sanity? In 2006, Kristi Coulter left her cozy but dull job for a promising new position at the fast-growing Amazon.com, but she never expected the soul-crushing pressure that came with it.In no time, she finds the challenge and excitement she'd been craving—along with seven-day workweeks, lifeboat exercises, widespread burnout, and a culture driven mainly by fear. But the chase, the visibility, and, let's face it, the stock options proved intoxicating, and so, for twelve years, she stayed—until she no longer recognized the face in the mirror or the mission she'd signed up for.Unsparing, absurd, and wickedly funny, Exit Interview is a rare journey inside the crucible that is Amazon. An intimate, surprisingly relatable look at the work life of a driven woman in a world that loves the idea of female ambition but balks at the reality.I was FIRED up reading this book because, as you can imagine, I, too, have experienced gender discrimination at work, fear that gripped my soul, as have many of my clients and colleagues.WARNING: During this interview, we discussed very sensitive subjects, like rape, harassment, and assault, so please for adult ears only and this can be triggering for people who have experienced these traumas. You can get both of Kristi's amazing books wherever books are sold and, of course, Amazon. This Sunday Special has Jared heated! The episode starts with a “Petty or Prudent?” submission about an ex's mom asking for her gift back. Then, a listener reaches out about a difficult choice: should she marry her boyfriend who could give her the life she wants, or should she give life a second go with her ex-husband? Jared and Jordana talk through the messy situation, including a message directly to one of the people involved–and it's not the listener. Learn more about your ad choices. Do you find it hard to motivate yourself sometimes? Me too. But over the years I have realised that the only way to achieve anything worthwhile is to push yourself outside your comfort zone. In my life, I'm known as a risk taker. It can be scary to take risks, but risks force you outside your perceived comfort zone and make you really up your game. If you want to be extraordinary rather than ordinary, then mastering this one skill can completely transform how you do life. In this episode, I break down why it's important to get outside your comfort zone and exactly how to do it. What will it take for you to step up and be extraordinary? Let me know in the comments.
