"There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION for those who are in Christ Jesus." We're in Romans chapter 8 today! Join us :)
Imagine standing before a judge, knowing you're guilty, the evidence overwhelming, your failure undeniable. Just as you're about to confess, someone steps between you and the bench, declaring 'not guilty' on your behalf. This is the breathtaking reality Romans 8 reveals to us. We journey from the depths of Romans 7, where we wrestle with our own wretchedness and ask 'who will deliver me from this body of death?' to the triumphant declaration that there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. This isn't just theological theory—it's the lived tension we all experience. We're still in the flesh, still breathing sinful air, still struggling with why we do what we don't want to do. Yet the Spirit of the living God dwells within us. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in our mortal bodies. We're called to set our minds not on the flesh, which leads to death, but on the Spirit, which brings life and peace. This means diving deep into God's Word, letting it dwell richly in us, gathering with other believers to encourage one another, and learning to cry out when we don't even have words—trusting that the Spirit intercedes with groanings too deep for utterance. We're not elevated or special; we're simply people in whom God chooses to dwell, and that changes everything about how we live each ordinary day.**Sermon Notes:****Introduction:**- The speaker, Pastor Will, introduces the series on the book of Romans, specifically focusing on Romans chapter 8.- Emphasizes the significance of Romans 8 as one of the most important chapters in the Bible.**Key Points:**1. **Courtroom Analogy:** - Illustration of a courtroom scene where one is guilty but Jesus steps in, declaring "not guilty." - Romans 8:1 states, "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."2. **All Are Guilty:** - Romans 3:23 states all have sinned and fall short. - No hierarchy in Christianity; all are equal before God.3. **No Condemnation:** - Only those in Christ are free from condemnation. - The law exposes sin, highlighting the need for Jesus.4. **Freedom in Christ:** - Those in Christ are set free from the law of sin and death. - Galatians 2:20 discusses living by faith in Christ, not by flesh.5. **Spirit vs. Flesh:** - Believers live in the tension between flesh and Spirit. - Setting the mind on the flesh leads to death, the Spirit leads to life and peace.6. **Holy Spirit's Presence:** - Romans 8:9 emphasizes the Spirit dwelling in believers. - The Spirit is essential; without Him, one does not belong to Christ.7. **Dwelling in the Spirit:** - The Spirit wants to dwell in us, impacting every aspect of life. - Importance of being in God's Word and fellowship for spiritual growth. - Colossians 3:16 encourages letting the word of Christ dwell in us.8. **Prayer and the Spirit's Help:** - The Holy Spirit intercedes for us when we don't have the words. - Romans 8:26 highlights the Spirit's aid in our weakness.**Practical Applications:**1. **Embrace Your Position in Christ:** - Live with the assurance that you are no longer condemned if you are in Christ. - Reflect on the courtroom analogy when guilt arises.2. **Cultivate Mindset on the Spirit:** - Regularly engage with scripture; let it shape your thoughts and actions. - Seek spiritual fellowship and accountability within the church community.3. **Invite the Holy Spirit to Indwell You:** - Begin each day in prayer, asking for the Holy Spirit's guidance and presence. - Make time for worship and reflection, allowing God to dwell in your daily life.4. **Rely on the Spirit in Weakness:** - When struggling, trust that the Holy Spirit intercedes even when words fail. - Be persistent in prayer and quiet time with God.**Discussion Questions:**1. Asst. Pastor Melvin Gaines Romans 8:1-9
In this sobering and soul-searching message, Pastor Karl dives deep into Matthew 5:17–48, where Jesus declares that He came not to abolish the Law but to fulfill it—and then raises the bar of righteousness far beyond anything the scribes and Pharisees ever imagined.Through six piercing examples—anger that murders the heart, lust that commits adultery in the mind, casual divorce, manipulative oaths, retaliation, and hatred disguised as justice—Jesus exposes the truth we all try to avoid: outward obedience is never enough. God judges the heart. Every single one of us stands guilty before His perfect standard.Yet the bad news is meant to drive us to the best news. Pastor Karl powerfully unpacks how Jesus' command in verse 48—“You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect”—is not a cruel impossible demand, but the very reason the Son of God came. We cannot achieve the righteousness God requires, so God freely gives it to us through faith in Christ. Jesus took our unrighteousness and imputes His perfect righteousness to all who repent and trust Him.A hard-hitting, heart-exposing sermon that leaves no room for self-righteousness, but ends with the liberating joy of the gospel: guilty sinners can be clothed in the very righteousness of God and stand before Him as if we had never sinned. November 18 2025 Tuesday Who Jesus Made You To Be / Week 01 No Condemnation Now #findoutwhoyouare My Vision My vision is to teach the world Who They Are In Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And I'm determined to teach the world what God has taught and commissioned me to teach and that is His Word. That commission takes me to jails and detention centers weekly along with other open doors at many churches and ministries that are wanting to teach these important truths to the world. My podcast goes out 6 days a week to help the people I am ministering to grow in the truths that God has taught me for many years now. This podcast is free to all that want to listen and grow strong in who God has made them to be in Christ Jesus their Lord and Savior. My Prayers For The World Ephesians 1:15-23 NLT 'Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God's people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.' Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT 'When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.' His letter to the Galations is a vigorous attack against the gospel of works and a defense of the gospel of faith. Paul begins by setting forth his credentials as an apostle with a message from God: blessing comes from God on the basis of faith, not law. The law declares men guilty and imprisons them; faith sets men free to enjoy liberty in Christ. But liberty is not license. Today we invite you to join us in Romans chapter eight, verse one, as we continue our series, “Free From Our Past.” When we become a Christian we're no longer condemned. But that doesn't mean we won't feel condemned at times. Sometimes others will condemn us, and sometimes we bring it on ourselves. So how do we get beyond that to embrace God's truth for our lives? Pastor Ed Taylor will suggest starting with a proper understanding of what it is to be in Christ. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/302/29?v=20251111

This past weekend, Pastor Jim presented us with “The List.” The List is comprised of 1st Corinthians 13:4–8, which is the love chapter and Galatians 5:22, which lists the fruit of the spirit. He said, “God expects us to love others like it's listed in these verses. It's a goal for us to achieve. And, really, this is how God loves us.”The Lord asked Pastor Jim to examine his life in comparison to the items on the lists to see how he stacks up, and then to use the outcome of the examination to bring about change where needed. After he went through the list, he asked the congregation, “When we went through those 22 things on the list, raise your hand if you felt any condemnation at all.” Many raised their hands. He said, “To those people who raised their hands, what that says is you do not completely believe or understand the cross, the resurrection, and what comes with it. If you think God is condemning you, you have no faith.”Our Links–• Join The Prayer Movement!: https://theprayermovement.com• Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/livingwordmn• Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/livingwordmn• Stay up to date with all things LWCC at https://www.LWCC.org• Join our Online Church community here: https://www.lwcc.org/onlinechurch• Give online: https://www.lwcc.org/give/• If you recently committed your life to God, we'd like to give you a free eBook to help you in your spiritual journey. Imagine being set free, TRULY free, from condemnation?Imagine being set free from all sin - sin in our past, in our present, in our future? We don't have to imagine it, because that is PRECISELY the truth of a believer's life in Christ. We are set free from guilt and shame, set free to "go and sin no more" (John 8:11).Today, I begin a brand new series in the most significant passage of Scripture, Romans Chapter 8, where we read, "There is now therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."Join me as we being this incredible new journey in this remarkable passage of Scripture!(RAR2025EP47)
As Paul said, "There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus". So stop condemning yourself! Be thankful for nothing.
Series: STANDALONE SERMON | Scripture: Romans 8:28-39 | Description: A look at how God's unshakeable love, sovereign grace, and redemptive purpose anchor believers with hope and assurance amid the universal suffering, brokenness, and human frailty of life.
No Condemnation, Romans 8:1
The sermon centers on the profound truth of Romans 8:1—there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus—presenting it as a living, ongoing declaration of God's righteous justice, not a mere legal fiction but a daily reality grounded in Christ's perfect obedience and sacrificial death. It emphasizes that this freedom from condemnation is not based on human merit or moral performance, but on being united to Christ by faith, where His righteousness becomes ours and His life replaces our sinful nature. The text underscores that this union is evidenced not by perfection, but by a transformed life marked by walking not after the flesh, but after the Spirit, which is the Spirit's work in believers as proof of their genuine belonging to Christ. The Lord's Supper is portrayed as both a celebration of this present justification and a means of grace to strengthen believers in their ongoing walk of faith, warning that those who persist in unrepentant fleshly living partake in judgment rather than communion. Ultimately, the message is one of gospel assurance: God's verdict of innocence is real, personal, and rooted in Christ's work, inviting all to rest in His grace with both confidence and holy vigilance. 1. Present Reality 2. Firm Basis 3. Personal Identification
This episode goes into detail how we become adopted and born again! We are children of God! Which we called to do something great for our Lord!

To be condemned is to be declared punishable, to be sentenced to death. That's what we deserve for our sins... but we're told there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus!
This is Romans Part 2: The Gospel – The New Humanity (Romans 5–8). In these chapters, Paul shows how the good news of Jesus doesn't just pardon sinners—it creates a whole new humanity. Through Christ, we are freed from sin, filled with the Spirit, and assured of God's unshakable love."No Condemnation" is a sermon based on Romans 8:1-11 preached by lead pastor Billy Glosson. This sermon was preached at Mission Church — a church in Morganton, North Carolina in the heart of Burke County.Join us in person on Sundays, 10 AM221 Herron St.Morganton NC, 28655
Main Point: You Have No Condemnation in Christ Jesus Text: Romans 8:1-2 Outline: A. Jesus Condemnation B. The Work of Christ C. Freedom in the Spirit
Elijah's prayer brought the fire of God onto the sacrifice and not on the people. This points to the cross where God's judgment was poured out on Jesus, who became the ultimate sacrifice for us.
No CondemnationFalse prophets, false teachers, and wolves are those who promote the law of sin and death. They live with disregard for God and use guilt to control others into following them. But for those who are in Christ, there is freedom as we walk out our faith with deep reverence for the One who loves our soul.
Audio from 10.15.25 LSM Mid-Week Student Worship Service. The title of this message is "No Condemnation" from Romans 8:1-11. This is the first sermon of the 4 week sermon series titled "Life In The Spirit: Life The Way God Meant It." The main idea of this message is that life in the Spirit means no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
#27 in our series, "The Book of Romans: A Theology of Hope"
In week 1 of Anchored: A Journey Through Romans 8, Pastor Scott Worthington preached from Romans 8:1–11. As followers of Jesus, we've been freed by God from the penalty of sin! But that doesn't mean we won't still struggle with it. In the struggle against sin, we can easily get discouraged and feel condemned. But, the Bible says there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus! We can get back up when we fall because God is continuing to free us from the power of sin—and when He returns, He will free us from the presence of sin. If you've been feeling defeated or discouraged in your struggle against sin, this sermon is for you.
Speaker: Josh Pavel
We are happy to have you with us! If there are any issues with the stream feel free to message us.
In Jesus, we receive freedom from the penalty of sin.
Pastor Chris preaches on Romans 8:1-11.
In Christ, I am not condemned and now I can live to please the Lord. Pastor Mark begins preaching through what he considers to be the greatest chapter in the Bible. This sermon open up the first eight verses in Romans 8 to see the first two promises that we can hold on to in the Christian life. Preached on 10/1/25.
Are you living like the conqueror God says you are, or still fighting battles He's already won? In this sermon, Pastor James Wilson reminds us that through Jesus Christ, we are more than conquerors. Drawing from Romans 8:37-39 and Colossians 2:13-15, Pastor Wilson explains that believers have already overcome the world, the enemy, and the flesh because of Christ's ultimate victory. He encourages us to stay in “victory formation,” to focus not on past failures but on the triumph we already have in Jesus. Pastor Wilson also emphasizes the power of faith, the complete forgiveness of sins, and the importance of staying prayerful and grounded so we do not fall into the enemy's traps. True victory is not about striving to win but standing firm in the victory Jesus has already secured for you. Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives. Here are the promises we covered this week. Hebrews 11:6 – Without Faith You Cannot Please God. Ephesians 1:17 – God Gives Me Revelation and Wisdom. Romans 5:3-4 - I Can Rejoice in Hardship. 1 John 3:19 – No Condemnation in Christ. 2 Peter 1:3 – God Gives me Everything for Godly Living.
Today's Promise: 1 John 3:19-20 For many Christians, Guilt is a way of life. When they pray, they feel overwhelmed by a sense of guilt and shame. Every time a service opportunity arrives, they feel unworthy for God to use them. Once we confess and repent of a sin, God never brings it up again. God has removed our sin as far as the east is to the west. (Ps. 103:12) God desires for you to live a guilt-free life by the power of the Holy Spirit. When you sin, you repent, receive forgiveness, and move forward in your Christian life.
