For over forty years, and with over 200 IMDb credits, he's made you laugh, cry and feel everything in-between. You've seen him in shows and movies like Ally McBeal, Home Improvement, Small Soldiers, Hail, Caesar!, Gremlins, the Howling, and the Orville, to just scratch the surface of his long and distinguished career.Since the 1980's, he's been a staple on television, film and stage, and he's played iconic roles like Dr. Dick Richards on China Beach, the Cowboy in Innerspace, Coach Cutlip on The Wonder Years, the Emergency Medical Hologram (or EMH) on Star Trek Voyager, and Richard Woolsey on Stargate. If that's not impressive enough, this Emmy-nominated actor has also been a director, and is an accomplished author and singer. In his real life, he's a proud Dad of two daughters, is on the Executive Board of the Planetary Society, the non-profit space advocacy organization originally formed by Carl Sagan, Louis Friedman and Bruce Murray, and I've heard he makes a pretty awesome pasta. It's a great honor to welcome, Robert Picardo.Books we referenced on the show:1) The Hologram's Handbook by Robert Picardo and Jeff YagherIf you'd like to learn more about Bob, check out his links:Bob's websiteYouTubeInstagramTwitterFacebookCameoTo sign up for the Moonbird email newsletter, click here!Want to start your own podcast?! Happy Friday Wonderlings, Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years Podcast: A wonder Years Podcast. Here is Part 2 Of Teacher Appreciation Week On The Wonder Years Podcast! First up a Snippet of S1E2: Swingers introduces us to Coach Cutlip’s Amazing Sex Education Course in Phys. Ed or P.E. As I called it. Next we have Miss Hancock from S3E16: Glee Club and to round it out we have Miss Shaw from S5E16: Kodachrome. It’s all here in one podcast episode. Enjoy, everyone and have a great week!
Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of the brand new podcast Together, We're Gonna Find Our Way: A Silver Spoons Podcast. S1E1: The Pilot Airdate: September 25, 1982 In this episode Millionaire Edward Stratton III, an overgrown child on the verge of bankruptcy, learns that he has a son, Ricky, from a previous marriage. I enjoying covering this podcast episode and the chemistry between Ricky Schroder and Joel Higgins is both phenomenal and magnetic. They really click. If you watched The Wonder Years you’ll recognize Lou as Coach Cutlip. Erin Gray as Kaye Summers is the voice of reason with Edward basically telling him to man up and being what Ricky needs, a father. Leonard Lightfoot as Edward’s advisor helps keep him grounded and his feet on the ground and trust me Edward needs all the help he can get between Kate, Ricky, and Leonard. Jason Bateman as Derek even though we saw him for only a moment can already tell he seems like the male version of Margaux Kramer from Punky Brewster. Derek’s hard words might hurt Ricky but really whatever he dishes out, Ricky gives back double. Next week on the podcast I'll be covering S1E2: Boys Will Be Boys, which aired on October 2, 1982. In this episode Ricky is pleased that Edward lets him get away with everything - until Derek tells him it means he doesn't care about Ricky. Edward has to show Ricky that his relaxed attitude toward discipline doesn't mean that he doesn't love him. I know I’m gonna have a great time covering this show and hope you all have a fun time listening! Happy Hump Day Wonderlings, Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. This is the first episode in The Wonder Years Sports Edition S2E9: Loosiers which aired on February 28, 1989. This episode is dedicated to all of those ever picked last for teams (myself included). In this episode When Kevin sees that Paul is being humiliated at basketball during physical education class, he decides to go to Coach Cutlip to complain about how he thinks teams are being unfairly picked. Cutlip then decides to teach Kevin a lesson about fairness by making him a team captain. Join me next week when Kevin plays the love doctor to Power Couple Frank and Denise the Grease ( as Kevin refers to her in this episode). Jumping into Season 5 with S5E4: Frank and Denise which aired on October 23, 1991. In this episode Denise and Frank seem to be made for each other, until Denise turns her eye to Kevin because he understands poetry. Although she breaks up with Frank and kisses Kevin, Kev thinks it would be better if she went back to Frank because they are a perfect match.
