Over the past year, the Parrishes have been crying out to God for more of Him. They have realized that the Body of Christ simply can't survive on dead religion.David and Kelsey met at Highlands School, where they were both high school teachers. David wasn't a christian at the time, but after Kelsey told him she didn't date non-believers, he decided to take a closer look into what being a “Christian” meant. With the help of some great mentors, the Holy Bible, and the encouragement of fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, David leapt into faith. The Parrishes were married shortly after David's salvation in 2017. Early marriage and hardships put a toll on their relationship with Christ, as many families can relate to. They were going through the motions, doing all the right “things” that they knew they “should”, and ultimately were falling short of any real intimacy with their Creator. Compromise in the faith and worldly living were common in their household, as is typical of many in the American church. Where did the church in Acts go? Why does the church look and act so differently today- often times turning people away in hypocrisy? They found themselves crying out to God… “There has to be more!” The journey toward intimacy with Jesus led the Parrishes to begin to trust Him for everything, including the miraculous healing of their son, Pax Gideon Parrish. It didn't stop with Pax, however, as God begin to heal their entire family from the inside out. Watch and be encouraged as you go deeper into your relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The fate of the world does not lie within the hands of our government, educational, arts and entertainment, media, or business systems; it lies within the church. Western Christianity has become so infiltrated by worldly systems that its congregants do not resemble Jesus. The Church has lost her identity and has seemingly died a spiritual death. In this hour the Spirit of the Lord is saying prophesy to the dry bones and they will become an exceedingly great army! God is raising up fearless endtime soldiers that do not love their lives unto themselves, but are willing to die for the cause of Christ! Find out more at KingdomReady.TV. You don't want to miss this message! "Come Alive Dry Bones" from Pastor Josh carries truth and encouragement, while also challenging us to realize that simply going through the motions is not enough if we do not seek the breath of God. We need His Spirit. "The bones were full of activity, yet still did not yet have the breath of life in them." He is faithful and He knows, that which is dead, dry, and hopeless can live again.

With "Home", "Come (Holy Spirit)", "Come Alive (Dry Bones)", and "O Come To The Altar" by the Praise Team, a wonderful celebration of Baptism, and "He Never Failed Me Yet" by the Victory Choir featuring Jerry Douglas and Alyssa Pendleton. All of us face dark periods in our lives (Psalms 13:1-4). We feel ANXIOUS because our problems make it seem like God has forgotten or is hiding from us (Psalm 13:1). This anxiety can lead to emotional distress (Psalm 13:2). This emotional distress leads to our daily LIVES being affected (Psalm 13:3-4). During our darkest times what we believe about God can make all the difference in the world (Psalm 13:5-6). We need to trust in God's steadfast LOVE. We need to rejoice in our SALVATION. We need to praise God, and we need to remember God's CARE in the past. Chip begins an 8-week Sermon Series "Double-Dog Daring Us" to believe. We start with missionary Keith McKinley giving us an update from Indonesia, and the Praise Team sings "Come Alive (Dry Bones)", important for Chip's message. All of us try to find meaning or distraction in life (Luke 19:1-2). However, the things of this world will never satisfy and we often look curiously at Jesus (Luke 19:3-4). Jesus does not condemn us, but calls us into love and family. (Luke 19:5-7). Daring to believe takes us from small things to great things (Luke 19:8-10).
More Than a Song - Discovering the Truth of Scripture Hidden in Today's Popular Christian Music
Why is easier to trust God for some things than for others? Do we believe He is all powerful or not? Do we trust His authority over our circumstances or not? God sweeps Ezekiel into a valley to show him the most amazing resurrection scene. This week's song, "Come Alive (Dry Bones)" by Lauren Daigle sweeps us into Ezekiel chapter 37 to encounter God's sovereignty as well. I can't wait for you to ponder this scene and discover the ultimate power of God. On this episode I discuss: How Scripture can remind us of songs and songs can remind us of Scripture How those of us with dead relationships, dead churches and dead communities can come alive - I mentioned this in Episode 97, too! The story behind the song as told by co-writers Lauren Daigle and Michael Farren - YouTube Video Taking a B.I.T.E. out of Scripture with this week's Bible Interaction Tool Exercise: Meditating on Scripture Referential representation - imagining in our mind what the words on the page represent My picture of the valley mentioned in Ezekiel - Ezekiel 37:1 Another mention of a valley of death - Psalm 23:4 The name Ezekiel used for God and what it means to all of us - Ezekiel 37:3 Speaking out loud over our circumstances The part that was up to God, the part that was up to Ezekiel and the part that was up to the dry bones How God used the wind to breathe life back into the dry bones - Ezekiel 37:10-11 Filling in the blank of what the dry bones represent in our own lives Additional Resources Lyrics This Week's Challenge Read Ezekiel 37:1-14 for yourself, of course! Meditate on the words. Visualize the scene. Ponder it. Journal about it. Then pull out the song and sing about it. Then you will know that the Lord has spoken.
